  • Water-repellent discs/rear mirrors

Hello, have read all the articles on the topic of water-repellent discs here in the forum that I found. But the opinions are quite different, from really practically to worse than normal discs? I myself don’t have the mentioned discs/mirrors, but find the idea good. Now my question: There are different “wets” in the accessory trade with which a pearl can be achieved (allegedly). Do you have experience with products – what do they do and have the disadvantages? Is the te chnik the same as with the Volvo original discs? Thanks for your answers volvovolvo

  • Use washing system !

Hello Elkgemeinde, my XC 70 is now almost 3 months old, a great car, I am absolutely thrilled ! so far I have with the use of washing machines very restrained, i.e. 1 x a textile (bestcarwash in bochum) used, otherwise only on the self wash boxes with dirt solutions high pressure cleaner, smudges etc. tried, was often powerful salt crusted everything ! P.S. in the osterzgebirge lies more than half a meter snow. How do you do that, my paintr said, as far as possible no loss search, only textile – of which there are unfortunately only few in the east !!??? Who has sealed the paint again and how and where ?? thank you !!!

  • Used diesel with few KM but long service life

Hello everybody, I am currently looking for a diesel station wagon and came across a very tempting offer at Autohero. The vehicle is a diesel with all-wheel drive, automatic and almost 18,000 KM on the speedometer. First registration was in 2020. First inspection in mid 2021 with almost 13,000km. Follow-up service (motor oil incl. filters, interior air filter and brake fluid) has now taken place almost 3 years later at 18,000km by Autohero. ewegt. Autohero gives warranty and according to the ad there are no technical defects. I am Laie, but I have concerns here that with such a long service life everything is not all right anymore. Problem is that a visit with Autohero is not possible. Although a 21 day return guarantee is possible, but I do not like to have to resort to it. How do you see this? Can this service life harm a diesel, even if it has so few kilometers? Thank you very much!

  • Feedback on the Leasing Restraint

My new XC60 is here and I wanted to share my experience of returning my first leasing vehicle with the interested ones. Since I am a passionate Volvo driver, my three years ago I advised me to try it with a private leasing. Advantage: No large maintenance costs and at regular intervals (if desired) a new car. It sounded very interesting to me and I agreed that the car would be a very nice one. a the option remained open for me to buy or leave the car after the leasing end. Well, the three years went by like in the flight and yesterday the separation of my beloved V70 was planned. When I decided to admit the V70 back in the summer and to drive a horny XC60 for it, I thought at regular intervals how it would work with the return of the vehicle and how “steng” it would be. I have to say that I was pretty good with the vehicle. andle, which doesn’t mean that I wash three times a week or so, just carefully deal with it, as you certainly do. Unfortunately, some time ago the bad marten had hit me, so that I had to record in the engine room a bad nibble at the dam, what I already pointed out and daruaf hired me to pay this at the return. He only said before: “Please don’t make it so hesitant, with loyal customers, we have certain playrooms” That was also so, yesterday the XC60 was picked up, then the V70 the Km stand was noted, once briefly looked around the car and since everything was in order, because protocol for the withdrawal of both of us was countersigned. I was so baff that it goes so smoothly and without problems, that I would now do it again at any time after the first leasing return. All my worries were in vain and I am glad to have decided so. Many greetings … your matze

  • Volvo V60 B4 Year 2021 Cooling water loss

So far I was able to live quite well with my B4 because he did not let me down. The Fzg is from early 2021 and ran zZ 118TKM: Before about 4 Where started a creeping cooling water loss, which has expanded to about 1 liter to 100 KM. The Fzg was then 1 Where at my dealer – the thermostat was exchanged – because the Volvo was not introduced, I had no claim on a replacement vehicle. Now the Fzg was again with me – the same day the same game started. ..considerable water loss. Yesterday I had it brought in & got replacement cars for 5 days. Tap cylinder head gasket, as the engine room sank after burnt cooling liquid. Will you keep up to date. Also a “squeeze noise” occurred some time ago during acceleration & braking – as if you were driving over a road marking. Will there be something with the recuperation – does anyone know the problem here from the forum? Due to the rather negat experience with Volvo vehicles (another colleague was introduced with his V40 last location) our GL has canceled the order of new vehicles baw. As a private customer I would not be so happy, since the service readiness & the entire service peripheral is not convincing (accessibility, appointments, customer support, problem solving, etc).

  • Accessories in the interior: Who has what?

Hello together, I’d like to know if someone in the interior of his car has installed any accessories – possibly as a suggestion for myself. Who, for example, has installed a battery monitor? A thermometer, a small photo frame suitable for the interior or similar? Who has replaced parts of the original interior with other parts, for example the ventilation grids with any Chrome look stuff? Or a mobile nav fixed installed? Images would also be great. 🙂 Greetings from Munich Thomas

  • Switching all-wheel: a nuisance!

Most of the people in the last few days have certainly had to deal with above average snow and ice. Some of them certainly also to a larger extent, as in the past years. Now a Volvo XC60 Recharge AWD is certainly not THE designated off-roader or all-wheeler. Nevertheless, one could imagine a little “better”. Why is there no button – either as a physical button – or as a direct access on the medium display, which allows the four wheel at Bedar f is able to switch fast and uncomplicated when a situation requires it. An example: I am in hybrid mode – as in 90% of all cases. Must have a light, snow-covered slope up backwards. Rear drive spins almost immediately. I didn’t see it like this. Must stop first. Rear camera is switched on. First, it has to be switched off to get into the driving modes via the menu (gear symbol) and then there for the situation “Constant AWD” to This is not necessarily possible when the first attempt is made, because the rear-view camera repeatedly “presses in between”. If you finally managed the situation with four-wheel (and ease), the whole thing has to be changed to “Hybrid”. I think Volvo could have come up with a more practical solution here.

  • XC60 2 Leasing conditions

Good day, following the rest of the forums, I have been allowed to create a corresponding collection thread. After expensive Volvo trailers and a foreseeable arrival at Mercedes, Volvo has brought me back with the new cars. Therefore, I ask for your experiences and tips for good dealers. For various reasons I will probably consider a private leasing. Driving performance between 20k and 25k km per year. Vehicle price will be around 56k. Vss. it will be the D4. someone may already have a feeling on what terms it will run out of? Merci!

  • Probe signal bank 1 -128 mA

Hello, I’m trying to bring my neighbor’s Volvo over the Tüv at the moment. The only problem is the value of the Lambda probe. We flashed off at the Tüv 2 weeks ago, partly because of other defects. I ordered all spare parts from Scandix and I was (probably) delivered a false Lambda probe. A Bosch universal with 4 cables. Now I have removed these and found out that these 5 cables have. The one from Bosch has 4. What is the 5th cable for? dwhat I don’t know, it looks like a plug plug, there are only 2 metals or the like to see, what is that for? I didn’t continue to grope, the old probe which looks still good, clean contacts and reinstalled. The car now drives quite differently, much better in response behavior running quiet etc. By means of my 3.99.- OBD adapter and engine data OBD on the mobile phone we then made a test drive to read the values. Lambda is always around 1, as it is monitor probe does not report a problem, error code is not set either, only this one value makes me guessless. Air Krafstoff mixture sensor B1S1: This is mainly at 127mA and sometimes jumps to -128 mA. As I have seen on the graphic, almost a system can be recognized in the jumps. What does that mean? I would order another probe (130.- up) and replace the old one, but I would like to know how such a mistake comes about. of course, if I could install the Bosch after someone told me where the 5th cable had to go. What still surprised me was that this value didn’t appear on the paper at all at the Au two years ago.

  • volvo s60 t5 low power

Hello I have a Volvo s60 T5 with a Bsr Stage 1 chiptuning on 300 hp as well as a medium silencer atrappe and open sport exhaust from Ulter. The volvo also has powerful power and drives 260 kmh but at the lower speeds it is really very sluggish. Not even if you start with full throttle at a traffic light spin the wheels through only when it rains so at 20 kmh and I just wanted to ask if the T5 is just translated like that or if my has anything. What brutal to me rken is when it’s warm so 25 degrees it has really noticeably less power it goes best at 12 degrees and rain. I’m thinking now if I install a larger load air cooler. Important info it’s an automatic vehicle but even with dtc from no spinning wheels Vlt you can help me further.
