  • Ecochiptuning for petrol engines (S40,V50,C30)

Ecochiptuning is supposed to reduce consumption a little bit and maybe increase performance a little. Did someone try it out here? If someone has experience with it, it would be nice to post here. I am particularly interested in the experiences of 1.8, 2.0, 2.4(i) and T5. MfG ShadMomentum

  • C30 with 18 inch winter tires rideable?!

Hello guys, will be in about a month proud owner of a 2009 Volvo C30 T5 R-Design, with 18″ Atreus (215/45) Pirelli summer tyres. Since we now have winter tyres compulsory in Austria from 01.11 to 15.04 (pronounce half a year!), I thought to myself to the original 18″ Atreus, winter tyres with the same dimensions. Now I was yesterday at a tyre dealer and he absolutely wanted to sell me 17″ aluminiums with the corresponding tires, because 18″ with a width of 215 are The winter tires must be always thinner than the summer tires… erm, that means wider summer tires for me and the thing is eaten?! No seriously, I would be interested in what you say about them. Since I live in Vienna the “hazard” of a snow runway is quite low, however, some snowboard trips are planned into the Alps and then the winter tire should already have enough grip… aja, here the tires to choose from: Bridgestone: Blizzak LM-22 XL 215/45 R18 93V Yokohama: W.Drive 215/45 R18 89V Pirelli: W240 Sottozero XL 215/45 R18 93V mfg mario

  • Clutch defective and then the still……

Meal, today was a real Schei****tag. This morning I brought our moose with defective clutch to the friendly, with 200tkm on the clock I can not be angry about :-/ The estimate amounted to EUR 977,- The following works should be carried out: – Change coupling and release cylinder – Change simmering of the crankshaft on the transmission side (the TÜV has moaned). Today the master calls me at noon and announces the good news: Two-mass-Sch wungrad (ZMS) defective, costs again 974,- Great, I should have sold the box before the repair…. Can someone tell me if there are test procedures to test the part? I found nothing in the technical documentation…. I still called different parts dealers, but the part is not available anywhere. Ner the price should be good, 570,- incl. VAT. I immediately put the master, that I want to have all the replaced parts in the trunk to control. Bin i who actually invented the Schei**** with the two-mass swing wheel? Greeting, M :-/

  • How much FORD is in the V50

Hello, I’m also going to be a Volvo fan now. However, I’d like to know how much “Sweden” is still in the V50. The diesels are probably from a community development with Peugeot; the platform is driving with the Mazda3 and Ford Focus 2. With Peugeot engine technology I wouldn’t have a problem now. But how much “Ford” is in the V50 ? best thanks, Markus

  • V50 2.0D: Is he really that bad?

Hello Motor-talker, I would like to get a new car in the near future. It should be a station wagon for two people; in other words, it should not be huge. Well and so I came across the Volvo V50. My impressions during the test drive were very positive, because the V50 is going great. However, the check-up of my workshop clouded the picture. Rusty parts, which suggests sloppily precaution during production. Oil loss in the front engine area. Oil-lubricated sockets v For a 2.5-year-old car with 80,000km I found it a bit terrifying. …you should have seen the face of the Volvo dealer once when I came back from the test drive and reported to him! From these impressions I was insecure then all the forums and now I am completely unsure about the V50 2.0D. Because it seems that if you get this Volvo V50, you will get problems. rd. …you believe the forums! Be it with the engine management or with the rest of the periphery. However, it is clear to me that most people in the car forums are looking for help; i.e. want to discuss problems on their vehicles and thus negatively influence these forums.

Now my question: Is there anyone here who has been driving a Volvo V50 2.0D for a long time and had no or weing problems. Incidentally, it was also striking that most V50s had their probs quite early h However, I read little about vehicles with high mileage.

One more thing: Volvo offered me to correct all defects and give me 2 years warranty.

  • Which C30/S40/V50/C70 has the most kilometers and thus “oldest” parts here?

Moinsen! Well, always these people who are so convinced of the old “real” Volvos. Someone tries to convince me that my C30 would not hold 200tkm. Damper would be due all 50tkm, the engine will break quickly and the interior, which can be replaced immediately after 75tkm… Now I would like to know whose Volvo has the most down here and still have these points either affirm or negate: Vehicle: Engine: Kilometer: Age: 1. Original shock absorber? J / N 2. Original brake discs/coatings? J / N 3. Original clutch? J / N 4. Original exhaust system? J / N 5. Original drive (motor/gear)? J / N I don’t fill this out because my car just passed the 30tkm… Let’s see if our “shit fords” (how I got/was put in) are as shit as they say!

  • New Scirocco, the direct C30 competitor?

here are the latest pics of the new Scirocco Sport-Coupé..http://carscoop.blogspot.com/…/…volkswagen-scirocco-new-image.html now quite apart from the fact that it is a VW [where our 30/40/50 Volvos are almost 100% techn. Fords, we have to be quite silent ;0) ], but conceptually this thing is totally in competition with the C30, 4,25er length, 2T Coupé, fresh design… etc, right? In addition, the new Scricco has the much more modern and versatile motor the latest province 122-140-60-200 ps) and the latest diesel up to 190 ps. Prices are also market-oriented and at eye level, converted 25,000,- for 160 petrol-hp in medium equipment variant (according to CH-price list) … With all basic skepticism of the products from the city of power through joy, I find the Scirocco quite attractive and for a D-product also formally unusual. Unfortunately, with these cars from WOB basically consists of the The danger that the carts will all be spoiled and spoiled into hundreds in zero-commanix… which would be a NoGo. Just as a discussion excitement. Gruss SV

  • Total failure V70 II CEM defective?

Hello!! During extensive Google research I have repeatedly stumbled on this forum and decided to register and start a thread (total forum noob!). I have got bigger problems with my V70 II(S) Built:2000 D5252T(103kW). A few weeks ago the known error of the DIM (voltage controller def. thus total failure) occurred and was fixed by the electronics expert (EPS) –> vehicle worked again perfectly afterwards. A few weeks later, after a longer period of time, Standing time of the vehicle the following problem: Ignition key plugged in and turned on level I and II –> no reaction (DIM, climate, stay without current). The problem exists since then permanently. VIDA Dice can not establish a connection with the CEM – can therefore unfortunately no error codes attached. As a result the power supply, the CAN bus cables, as well as all fuses and relays were checked by circuit diagram, At the CEM measured (in the respective ignition key positions): 30+ on pin E3 and E6 (12V) ) S to Pin B1 (12V) X to Pin B2 (12V) 15 to Pin B3 (12V) X+ to Pin C1 and B10 (12V) 31- to Pin E1 (transition to ground) At CEM the relay CMI22 is bridged by a jumper, the air conditioning starts and at DIM the only one lights up the engine control light (which indicates intact DIM??). What parameters or input signals does the CEM still need to control the relay CMI22 and to power the control units behind it. Otherwise, it almost looks to me like CEM defek t out..? With the hope of (He) solution… Thank you already in advance..!
