  • Heating inactive wg AI change?

    With my V70 the heater can no longer be activated, neither directly nor by timer. In the spring everything worked fine. In one of my first attempts this autumn was at least the ventilation on and also the AI showed what, but the heater itself did not work. I thought it would come from the temperatures around 10° but today I found that it can not be started directly. The only thing I have exchanged since the spring is the combi-instru ment. So I wonder if there is any connection? The timer and the direct start function for the preheater are displayed correctly. If you could exclude the connection, then what can it be?

  • TF80SC Gearbox Problem

    Hello everybody, my gearbox is having trouble again, but this time it’s right. What happened: I’m driving loosely on a expressway today at noon, all of a sudden the message: transmission reduced power. So right on the right and see, the car completely slammed with transmission oil, up to the tailgate. Car on a trailer, brought home and looked what’s going on. We saw that when you insert a drive stage the transmission oil almost in the beam from the small hole between Gearbox and engine are coming. Does anyone have a tip what this could be? The car is now standing at the workshop but until something can happen it takes until after Easter. To the car: V70 D5 MY2007 317,000KM. Even if it needs an exchange gearbox, I will definitely have it repaired because the car got a completely new engine before 50,000KM, otherwise almost everything has been new except for the transmission and is in a really very good condition.

    Hey community, I read out some mistakes today. Has a lot come together. Some I can delete after all two problems. CEM-1E05 communication with the CPM control unit. (think about plug-in connection or cable break) It also gets very slowly warm. Think only by engine so that the heater does not start at all. Maybe someone already had the same.   • 5Gang Automaton switches loosely, jerky

    Moin, am the “new” here. After years of enjoyment of a T-5R I have now for some time a XC70 2.4T AWD automatic Bj.2002. The problem: He likes to switch from 4 to 3 and 3 to 2 jerky if you let him roll a little before. Also he likes to drag with swing from 3 to 4, or 2 to 3. An oil change (original oil) brought some improvement for the time being. The transmission was not flushed due to the high mileage of 300,000. r and the adaptation values (without adaptation drive) reset. After that it ran much quieter, the jerking when switching down was gone. When switching up it is still quieter, also the jerking when switching down has become less, but seems to pile up again. Also, it now hits the gears from idle to D and R unsavory. It always needs some speed it seems. The other jerking when switching down occurs mainly at approx. 2000 revolutions. We have it after the reset moves about 100Km. Do another adaptation drive, if yes how? Oh yes, between the oil change and the counter reset lie just under 6000Km. Thank you

  • S60 D5 2004 Exchange climate compressor etc.- Flushing necessary?

    Good evening together! I would like to change the air compressor, the dryer, the capacitor and the pressure valve on my S60 D5 from 2004 with approx. 320tkm. The parts are ordered and the installation I would like to take over. But now the question, because in many instructions (also in the one from the compressor manufacturer Mahle) is that both the expansion valve has to be replaced and the entire system has to be flushed?! I would have the system evacuated, the parts replaced and then re-used. Is the flushing and the exchange of the expansion valve necessary? Pollution from the outside should not be in the system, as the air conditioning system works and cools normally. However, the compressor makes light noises and the magnetic coupling does not always separate correctly. Thus, there is a slight imbalance in the belt drive. How do you estimate the situation, is the flushing necessary? A clean working environment is of course basic prerequisite! A nice evening, many greetings and thanks in advance!

  • Variation of images Side camera – Rearview camera at 360 degree view

    With my XC90, the pictures of the side cameras show a clear deviation from the image of the rear camera in the common view. So they are not completely overlapping in the overlapping areas but a width of edged stone apart. That’s a bit irritating when parking. My question: Is that the same with you?   • Temporary failure of the brake power amplifier??

    When I only had my new XC60 for a few days, I noticed once (unpleasantly) that the car could hardly be braked after the start (and instead the electric motor still pushes a little bit). About as if the brake power amplifier was without function. The pedal feeling is like stepping on a concrete block. The whole thing was just like that after the start. Even after 5-10m everything was “normal”. I then at first somehow “dumped” it or in the contact But now – months later – it happened to me repeatedly within a few days. I start the car and want to slowly get out of a parking space and you have the feeling that you can’t slow down the car despite the slightest speed. You have to put your entire body weight on the brake pedal. In the meantime, I don’t feel it’s just “uncomfortable” anymore, but also potentially dangerous, because of the situation. n – when it comes – comes as a surprise and then it may not always be fast enough to get enough weight on the brake pedal. Especially if you are in a parking space that does not give you enough space for a slow braking manoeuvre. If it comes, it is irrelevant whether the car has been standing for 2 hours or 2 days before. I actually have the impression that something is wrong here with the brake power amplifier. I will soon – if the first annual inspection soon has anyone already experienced something like this?

  • 2024: The End of Diesel Vehicles at Volvo

    Actually, it was no longer a secret, but the current model year 2024 will be the last model year in which Volvo will offer vehicles with diesel engines (formerly D-engines, most recently as Mildhybrid with B-addition). In some models there are already no diesels available today, this will then affect all models. At the beginning of 2024 (i.e. at the end of the MY24) the diesel engine will no longer be offered. Some models are based on purely electric successor models, the previous models will then be offered as gasoline/plugin_hybrid – this can already be seen today as EX90 or XC90.
