    Hello forum, read here for a long time, for a week now I belong to the circle of the C30 drivers (a barent-blue D2) and have a question immediately: My dealer made himself a little unpopular with me when he handed me not only the actual invoice, but also a “delivery invoice” with all kinds of additional points, of which before was never mentioned… Is it usual that also the requirement / issue of the registration certificate part II My dealer wants to have 25 € for this, allegedly this had to be requested by the KBA and was further calculated. Anyway, it was new to me that such a thing is not included in the vehicle price. Also the registration fee for my used vehicle given in payment was put on the bill immediately. And of the refueled 15 liter diesel, which were generously calculated with more than 2.50 per liter, without having commissioned this, I do not talk at all now Has someone similar Experiences made at the vehicle transfer?   • V 50 D3 Geartronic or switch?

    After my experience with the V 50 2.0 D I dare to switch to the D3 machine. Certainly I will not regret this step (can only get better ….). Nevertheless, the question still remains: Switch or Geartronic? Can someone tell me his experiences on this?

    Hello, our Volvo S 80, built 06-2002, has normal dipped light, that is H7 55 W. The night before yesterday, when driving off, suddenly the yellow warning light went on and I have since on the display the display “Abblend light defective”. In fact, the dipped light remains on the right side. I have checked the following: All other lamps work, so also the main light and the fog lamps on the right. The two light bulbs of the dipped light left and right and the fuses are in Ordnu ng. I measured the following values in the fuse box in the engine compartment: fuse 18 (headlight left) 11.58 V, fuse 17 (headlight right) 0.04 V. I also measured directly on the headlight, where identical values arrive. Lights out: Both values jump to 0.00 V. Who can give me a tip. If I drive to the “friendly” one, the troubleshooting there already exceeds my budget. Are there perhaps upstream relays that can be exchanged on an experimental basis?   • New throttle valve

    Hello guys, I’m new to the forum and I need your help urgently. I drive a Volvo v70/2 Combi Built 2002, 2.0T with 180 Ps and 270tkm on the speedometer. Problem: Last week I got message “Motor system maintenance required”. My small readout device showed that throttle flap would hang. The car runs only in emergency program and can not drive over 2000 revolutions. Also in idle mode (if you press gas to stop) it comes laboriously only up to 2300 revolutions. Since I have the I ordered a new throttle flap at Polarparts.de and renewed the old one. I jammed the battery in front of it and stuck it up after installation and reset the errors. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. The Volvo continues to run on only 2 cylinders and the same error message comes back again. My question: Must the throttle flap be specially learned on my model and if yes, how does m to that exactly??? I’m pretty desperate and ask for help. Hope I have described the problem well. Short tip: all 5 spark plugs are new, as well as ignition coils too. Thank you in advance. Nenadius

    Hello, my moose has to go to the TÜV in two months, which won’t make it any more. Furthermore, no TÜV-relevant repairs are necessary – all in all, I’m not sure if I should separate or stay true to myself. Maybe you can give me advice or recommendations here. To the Volvo: V40, 2001, 1.6 (109 hp), 110tkm, comfort equipment (tempomat, 4x elt. window lifter, 6x airbag, partial leather, climate control, on-board computer), fog lights, color: Blueb erry, brake system completely new, camshaft setting servo new, air mass meter new, ignition lock new (300Euro), set of winter tyres new (400 Euro) To the defects: – stabilizers and crossbars rear – timing belt change necessary – clutch cylinder leaks – 1x wiper water pump broken – fuel pump has to be changed – Scheppern front left (probably crossbars / stabilizers) = approx.2000-2500 Euro Thank you in advance!

  • V40 1.9 D – Timing belt torn / Engine damage

    Hello Volvo friends ! So … now unfortunately I found only with tragic background on this page. My beloved V40 almost no longer lives – at least the heart (motor ) stands still. Have you heard about it – the car is Bhj. 11/99 and has now 119,000 km down – 500 km before the next inspection – well – and now the timing belt has torn and has taken the engine right into the beyond. Although the car was bought only in October ́04 – no guarantee (according to Volvo F And now ?   • Upgrade board computers in Ph.2 (BJ 2003)

    Hello since I have my V40 now (see click here ) I would like to upgrade the board computer as long as this is not too expensive. In the SuFu I found unfortunately almost only threads for the retrofitting of the board computer in phase 1. Since I have a phase 2 however, I would like to know to what extent this retrofitting is difficult/priced? That should be a lot easier than in the Ph1, because the amature board does not have to be replaced. My questions: 1. Since the cable for the BC switch should already be in place, I wonder if it really is enough to buy and connect the BC switch…. Are the sensors already pre-installed in every V40 (Ph.2)? 2. If only the BC switch really needs to be retrofitted, is it enough if I let the board computer unlock? 3. Is the BC switch for phase 1 compatible with that of phase 2 (I don’t think personally) 4. What would it cost on average? 5. Is the BC switch for phase 1 compatible with that of phase 2 (I don’t think personally) 4. there are a few good sources where you can get the BC switch?   • Exhaust leaks but where else should I look???

    Hi guys I had to replace the lampda probe with my Volvo v40 2.0L 16V the other day… It was totally rusted away, I thought after that my exhaust was tight again but far missing. The error is gone and the new probe also inside but the exhaust still roars from the front. The noise gets through under the front area driving gas cell. I had it already on the lift to look for it but I can not find the leaky spot. Has the v40 with 2.0 liter machine any where calculated connector? I still know the problem from my old three-legged golf which is at the place very much rusted times. I hope you can help me. Because since I can hear my exhaust gas unfiltered it does not pull as well and goes off like a bucket glue.
