  • No passenger airbag?

When I browse through my Swedish manual of my V40 2.0T from 2004, I saw that the Baifahrer airbag is displayed by a pressed “SRS airbag” symbol. I looked at it and found this train with the best will. On the steering wheel it is visible, but nothing at the passenger. Also in the door frame, where the durability of the airbags is displayed, only the driver airbag is indicated under the front airbags. It is surprising that a car from 2004, which definitely has SIPS, WIPS and IC, is too bad for a passenger airbag. Can that be? is that supposed to be that I’m better to drive myself? 😉 I’m really surprised and can’t really imagine it. Thank you in advance. Greetings, Timo

  • Runs rucklely after head gasket exchange

Hello dear Volvo fans, I changed my head gasket for Easter (cooling water consumption).XC90 D5 200PS I also changed the flaps and the tube of the crankcase ventilation. Leak oil pipe of the injection nozzles also new. Everything again together and in its place. Complete suction track cleaned(sucked out) Unfortunately I had not immediately noticed that the pipe of the gas return to the exhaust cooler did not sit properly. We drove a few kilometers with it, my wife was Then I wanted to collect my son and motor went down into the emergency run with an indication of Orange’s warning triangle and emergency run. At home I heard then that the exhaust gas recirculation is leaking. Vida said: ECM 1507 Turbo Control-Too low pressure ECM 1517 Turbo Controll-Too high pressure I changed the pipe and deleted the fault memory. Now everything tight and also full power there, but when I drive in 6 gear 1800 revolutions it starts at jerkeli It’s like both tires have a little bump that runs exactly paralel. If you get gas it’s right away you go completely off the gas it’s also way. If you turn down it’s lower there. After the ride no mistake to find with Vida. Do you have an idea in which direction I could look for? Vida in English is there. I think it’s more like a smaller otherwise gäbs yes an error message. I hope for ideas and if someone knows and tell me k Where it comes from would be the biggest for me. MfG Christian

  • DSTC defective and offline

Hello all, help, I’m desperate. The DSTC problem makes me gurdy! My Volvo V 70 II D5 reported sporadically DSTC Anti Skid OFF (lenkrad angle sensor off). Was not a problem in itself because after restarting DSTC was OK again. Then the messages piled up and went over into brake assistant, maintenance required and anticle lube control maintenance required The diagnostic device I906 showed error BCM-140 pedal pressure sensor. After deletion of the error DSTC was OK again, until the next actuator So that was clear. Now I thought I had the error. https://www.dtcdecode.com/Volvo/BCM-0140 The pedal pressure sensor is located in the power brake booster But then the error 140 in the diagnostic device no longer reported (cold soldering point on the sensor?) , the DSTC was OK for a few kilometers. Then again OFF! I guess several problems at the same time! I looked through the Volvo Forum intensively. The DSTC is influenced by many components. To my knowledge from: Greed rate sensor under centre console (deleting problem) Cross-acceleration sensor next to greed rate sensor (deleting problem) Brake pressure (ways) sensor on brake power amplifier/low pressure box (left long part) (deleting problem) Steering wheel angle sensor (wear) Wheel wreath and sensor on each wheel (sensor or wheel wreath break) Two pressure sensors on the brake cylinder (both, due to redundancy, should provide the same bar-values BCM module (deleting problem), etc. I was able to exclude the wheel sensors, the pressure sensors, the steering wheel angle sensor. With the protocol as PDF. Now I have the following questions to you about the protocol. • The value of the accelerometer is immutable, outside the standard . Accelerometer signal -81.96m/s2 (cross-acceleration is displayed correctly) (On another Volvo this value of the accelerometer is displayed correctly, so no error in the diagnostic device) Where is this device? speedometer? Is it identical to the transverse acceleration sensor in the centre console?) • The two pressure sensors on the pressure cylinder give correct values. In the diagnostic tool, however, 2 pressure sensor 1, offset 1.30bar pressure sensor 2, offset -1.55bar invariably displayed. Is the offset sensors at all, are these values relevant? • Even if the error BCM-140 is not currently displayed in the diagnostic device, it still reports in the data evaluation “Status of the Ped aldrucksensors —– Er- (shall be called error) What do you think? Is the error from a combination of the pedal pressure sensor (actually pedal travel sensor) and the accelerometer (where located?) to be seen? I am looking forward to your answers

  • Volvo V50 no longer accepts gas!?

Moin people! I drive a volvo v50 2.0 diesel. Unfortunately, this car has the peculiarity that it takes no more gas out of the blue. My workshop also doesn’t know any advice, there I was told to take care of when the problem occurs but the point is that it does not occur in any particular situation. The only thing I can say exactly is that I can drive 600 km at a time and the defect comes with absolute safety 1x. If the error comes I can only get minimal gas. ben, as soon as I step on through the pedal he takes the drive completely away and I have to take the pedal up again and then give it minimal gas again. Thereby, neither a mistake is shown nor can one be called up in the workshop (behind) . The problem has then mostly continued after 5-10 minutes drive again, but it drives me so slowly into the madness ! Google somehow also spits nothing out I hope of you a council knows, otherwise i ch probably continue with my Monday car through which must twitch against… Thank you! Speed1982

  • V50 sporadic steering wheel treble

Hello guys, I’ve been looking for something here in the forum and I’ve already found something, but only for continuous steering wheel tremors when braking through warped discs. I’ve been having the following problem for a few weeks: I sometimes have steering wheel tremors, but not always. I have the impression that I sometimes feel very light trembling in the steering wheel without braking, but when braking is sometimes relatively strong, another time is then again nothing. emst, in the assumption that the warped discs make themselves more noticeable when you are warm, but strangely there seems to be no connection here. I drive a V50 D5 from 2008, have now about 112,000km down, could it be that the wheel bearings are over? MfG and thank you for your suggestions, Cris

  • stand-alone heating

I am just before buying a volvo V50 2,0 D and can’t say if I order with or without a stand heater. fact I park under the open sky at night and in the office… the volvo own has as far as I am informed no remote control. because of very different times it doesn’t work with me either. webasto or ebersbächer costs almost 1.5 times incl. installation and entry like the volvo own. what experiences do you have? there is the possibility to supplement a remote control. via a I’d be happy to answer that.

  • Steering wheel trembling

Evening, I still have steering wheel tremors at my C70 from 80km/h and unfortunately I can’t get it off I already changed everything that could cause it. Rader were also tested and rearranged afterwards it got a bit better. It kicks up all the time while driving and also braking but it has nothing to do with the windows. Who knows still guess?

  • C30 2.0 doesn’t want to be refueled…

Meal together! I wanted to do my C30 a little good today and refuel for € 1.029 super. In the tank about 50% of the tanks were still in (pronounced: approx. 28l). When I wanted to fill the rest also, no more went in than 18l. No matter how gently and carefully I handled with the lever at the tank trunk. Also when pulling out was no drop possible. Then I thought “okay, tank will probably be full” and paid. Engine started and see: Tank indicator shows about 7/8th of the T And this just didn’t go on!? Now I had something like that with my old Volvo 960, when the tank return line (return line from the engine) spon around. But that’s what’s missing in this vehicle!? In the summer it was possible to refuel without problems. Also in the spring and in the icy cold Easter in 2008… Just why not now!? Does anyone have an idea? Tank size: 55l (have often gotten 51 or 52l in). Engine: 2.0 petrol (B4204S3). Model year 2007.

  • Buy New V50 – Someone experience with the 6-speed Powershift double clutch transmission?!

Hello, I am currently driving a V50 D5 Bj 2006 with automatic transmission. I actually wanted to buy the 2.0D at the time of the new purchase, but there was no automatic transmission… Now a new V50 is due in the spring – it is also to become a diesel. Since Volvo now also offers the 6-speed Powershift double clutch transmission for the 2.0D, my question is for you: Does anyone with this transmission experience? What is the difference to the normal 5-speed Automatic gearbox with Geartronic function? Volvo advertises that this transmission can also be switched “by hand”. Is clear, one could also with the normal 5-speed automatic transmission – but rather modest switching processes… What are the advantages with the “new” transmission? Since the 2.0D is completely sufficient in terms of torque (320Nm compared to 350Nm with the D5 with automatic), I would like to order the 2.0D, but I am still unsure about the manual or automatic transmission… e further question: What is the difference between the “Dynamic chassis” (additional price 100 Euro) and the “sport suspension” (additional price 300 Euro)? Who can help? Thank you in advance and greeting gizmon

  • Set off belt alarms ??? experience report

hello guys! has one of you already been able to deactivate the belt alarms at the V50 and if so how? I’m feeling terrible about the spirit and the car is already buzzing before you even drove a meter! moreover, the with backpack on the passenger seat put also again and again a problem… certainly you could pull off a plug somewhere under the seat, but then he would think you are not strapped and in case of an accident the airbag would trigger differently, although you a I hope to have been understood and look forward to reports, so get in touch! best thanks in advance greetings faustus
