While most of them do not even have a hybrid model on offer, and European manufacturers in particular will need to be ready for series production of their first gasoline electric engines for two to years, Honda is already launching the first series-produced fuel cell-hydrogen PKW for the end consumer in 2009. First in Japan and the USA, the FCX will be on the market. filling unit that “distils” the necessary hydrogen from the local propane gas connection for the fuel cell. With a range of 270 miles, the owners can thus cover 95% of the daily mobility needs. In addition, the companies BP, Chevron (Jet) and Shell together with Air Products will expand the gas station network with hydrogen pumps. More details can be found here.

Normal gasoline instead of super ??
What do you think of this message? Quotation: Modern gasoline can withstand normal- instead of super-sprite At least 200 euros savings per year: The smart cars of today can be fuelled instead of super- also with the cheaper normal fuel – even if the recommendation of the manufacturers is different. Cologne – Drivers of modern cars with petrol engine can easily refuel normal- instead of recommended by the manufacturer. This resulted in a joint comparison test of the “Auto Zeitung” and the company According to the magazine published in Cologne, motorists do not have to fear increased wear or engine damage. The engine management recognizes the fuel used by the tap sensor and adjusts itself to changed qualities. With an average annual driving performance of 25,000 kilometres and an average consumption of ten litres per 100 kilometres, it is reported that at least 200 euros can be saved annually if instead of the For most models, the cheaper fuel does not have a negative impact on the performance. However, the magazine recommends that normal gasoline be refuelled only if the manufacturer’s octan specification allows for it in the operating instructions. For most models, the quality specification ranges from 91 octan (normal) to 98 octan (super plus). Current gasoline models from Audi, BMW, Honda and Kia were tested. DAB+ / fm commit fails with HR after transmitter conversion
Hello, in my V90 MJ2020 early the sensus audio system is installed. At the DAB+reception of hr3 the system switched to the underground car park (no DAB+ reception, but VHF goes) always reliably on fm. When leaving then back to DAB+, unfortunately because of the not completely synchronous signals (or because of a different signal processing in the device) always with a slight time offset. Since the Hessian radio has regionalized its DAB+ transmitters a few weeks ago permanently , there was hr3 as superordinate, nationwide station no longer to be found at first. In the DAB+ channel list I then had to record the new station hr3 middle-hessen in the favorites. So far, so good, but… … now the switching to fm does not work anymore. When I drive into the underground garage, I see only a helpless rotating ringel with the text message ‘no reception’. A switch to fm happens e.g. at ffh still without problems, but with the stations of the hr no longer . Why? Can this be due to any settings in my system? The DAB/DAB and DAB/fm handover are both enabled in the options. I had already contact with the hr, which explained to me that some radios do not conform to the standard the alternative FM frequencies sent in the DAB+ data stream ignore and e.g. search for the same station name of the RDS information. If this is also done sensus and instead of the alternative frequencies now searches for hr3 means, the fm-Prog But only hr3 means, then of course nothing can be found. Is that just the case with me? Who still has the same problems with the regionalized hr or other channels? Are there any suggestions for solutions? Thank you for your help André

Volvo V90 Loading hatch Gas pressure spring
Hello, I have a Volvo V90 T6 MY2024. At the loading hatch/bottom in the trunk, it only has a rope to hold the floor up and not the gas pressure spring like the first models. The holes for mounting are available. The spare part can be ordered. Only questionable how the gas pressure damper is mounted. (Screws, thread retrofit etc.) So can someone provide me with information here, so I can retrofit it? Also photos, maybe I can read it out. ank. Sincerely from the Mosel PS: next the XC60 gets a new interior…. But pssssst 😉

Mini keys – how long does the battery last?
I have been using only the mini key for my vehicle for 2 1/4 years. Now I have repeated a message in the control display that the battery level is low, and I have to pull the door handle repeatedly or step very close until the vehicle opens. I mean the Volvo actually stated the lifetime at three years, but just can’t find the info. A spare key costs around 200 € and my dealer refuses to use the W guess now I actually have to use the regular key for the last few months, which I find unbelievably impractical. Does anyone have any experience about this? — Instructions can be found in the FAQ: https://www.motor-talk.de/faq/volvo-xc90-2-v90-2-q204.html?… Short version: I changed the battery of the Key Tag with approx. 20 Euro, everything works perfectly. Volvo calculates for an exchange 220 Euro. If you can solder yourself, you can push the cost to 5 Euro for the replacement battery.

XC90 T8 Built 2021; Charger “falls” and eventually becomes defective
Hello! Unfortunately I have a problem again, this time with the charging. I used a Tesla charger (UMC 2) on a red 3-phase 16A socket for the Volvo, about 1 year without problems. At some point it started that the charger temporarily crashed. It had to be taken off the power regularly, then it ran again. About 2 months ago the charger then completely goodbyed. Ok, was 4 years old, can happen (I thought). So the same device at Tesla new best And now, within a few weeks, I have the same problem. My analysis has revealed the following: – Volvo with Tesla charger on socket 1 –> Problem – Volvo with Tesla charger on socket 2 –> Problem – Tesla with Tesla charger –> No problem Logical explanation: the car is the problem! 🙁 I noticed that the Volvo is always fully charged and apparently crashes the charger at the end of the charging process. When I did not have a second charger for 2-3 weeks, I have the V olvo loaded with my eGo-Charger. There were no difficulties. Does anyone have an idea? Thank you! Hannes

Software Update Sensus+Vehicle – Updates – current version=02/2025
Hi, in this thread (reflected in the SPA and CMA subforums) we can handle information about the availability of the latest software updates of the Sensus. Here are NOT the map or APP updates, but the software of the Sensus itself, which can only be updated by the dealer. Remarks/FAQ: – the version status can NOT be displayed on the vehicle – the dealer updates only during the inspection, not in between – Exception: There are problems, if necessary. by an update can be solved (e.g. blackscreen of the medium display or connection problems of multimedia devices) Information about software updates Volvo lists in the support area and also important notes:https://www.volvocars.com/en/support/downloads The information about the software updates themselves can then be found here:https://www.volvocars.com/en/support/software-release-notes Nice greeting Jürgen PS: The reflection into the subforums takes some time. V70II: Automatic gearbox from diesel to turbo petrol
Hello to the Volvo-experienced screwdrivers here in the Volvo Forum, due to a very probable transmission defect on my Volvo V70 II, EZ 2002, 2.0 Turbo with Aisin Warner gearbox AW55-50SN, I have become aware of a used transmission in the net that originally came from a V70II diesel. Can anyone confirm that this transmission fits into the Baby Turbo petroler? The following numbers are noted on the type plate of the new (used) transmission on the type plate: AW5 5-50 SN, series No.: 01LV713557, another no.: 8567-365 The numbers on my current, probably defective gearbox: AW55-50 SN, series No.: 02EV729727, another no.: 8636-762 The Volvo dealer here from the area wraps himself in silence, maybe it is too much work for him to check that, maybe he just can’t or doesn’t want to say anything, because he wants to sell a new one, which is not possible (time value of the vehicle), a overhaul yes also 280€ plus cost et. I would be very pleased to get a few answers from knowledgeable Volvo Specis, which will help me with this problem, because the car slowly costs nerves and above all, a lot of money. Yes, I know Volvo driving is not cheap… I’m happy to get it, but it still has to stay within reasonable framework.

D5 starts worse
Tach! My V70 has never been really intoxicating, but maybe that’s normal for the machine, no matter. But for two weeks it has started worse, you have to org a little longer than normal. If the vehicle is longer or cold. I can’t say exactly what is true now because of the quite high external temperature. The injectors are fine. Volume correction, return quantities and cylinder speed within the tolerances. The glow candles are fine. It’s empty. Fuel filter? I don’t know how old it is, but if it was, it would always have to be with the worse jump-in… Someone an idea? Thank you…
