Hello, I’m just a bit overwhelmed where I should buy which spare parts. Would like to change the days timing belts, water pump, head gasket, shaft seal etc. Price differences are already extreme, e.g. water pump original. Volvo 117,- (for Scandix) or house brand by 50,- or complete kit (dental belts, tensioning roller etc.) from Continental 127,- Which parts should you take original from Volvo which are sufficient in replica? Actually, I’m more for original, what can the Scandix home brands parts do? Would I be very pleased about info/tips. Thank you in advance.

Connect FB Central Locking
Hello, with the hope that can help me jmd. of you, I have now joined me here in the forum round. So everyone a nice good Aben A good 6 weeks ago I did a V70/1 and am also very happy with the moose. Nerve does me however the FB of the ZV. If I have to stand directly in front of the driver’s door to open my car the goal is somehow missed. Now there are all kinds of accessory remote controls that are clamped up on the existing ZV and promise a higher wide range. And just such a product I have bought. A connection plan is only available that I know which cable colors from the new module to which of the existing ZV have to be assigned. Unfortunately I have not received any installation location or similar information. So now the question, has jmd. already a similar product retrofitted and can tell me where I come to the cable positions reasonably well? Perhaps you also have an idea where I can “hip” the little box? Hope it is someone among you who can help me, thanks already.

Gas pressure springs in tailgate
Since 16 years I have been driving a 850-er Volvo combi (year 1995), which I bought at the age of two years and love very much. With the years I have already put a lot of money into it, like probably each of us in his beloved elk. Unfortunately, I can not screw it myself, but I have to have everything done in the workshop. There are still some repairs to do. Just the bill for the vacuum hose is in front of the intake manifold and a lot more. Now the gas pressure springs of the tail flap have finally given up the mind and the tail flap always to be stopped with the stick is also not the truth (if you load something bulky you get the couple for 112,— €/brutto. When you don’t mind yet the thing thunders on the head). However, since the O-parts 90,– €/kck cost now, I have asked at AET, because you get the couple for 112,– €/brutto. When I’ve found a qualitative network, I have also found a question about my company.

V50 T5 no longer starts after “switching”
Hello together, I don’t know what it can be. My V50 T5 (MJ 2005) doesn’t start any more. I drove into a bit too big hole in the back of last week and sat up properly (so far as the tire was completely in the air). When I hung there the engine went off. My guess was that he didn’t get any fuel anymore, because the tank was already quite empty. When the car was out again I filled in a few liters and wanted to start. But it only turns the starter but nothing else happens. As if the petrol pump doesn’t matter. Does anyone have an idea what that can be? Lines are all in it. Is there maybe a motor emergency switch that takes the fuel pump off? Would be great if someone could help me.

A second moose in the garage: C70 (II) T5
Finally it’s time to order on March 13th and pick up today: our C70 T5. On recommendation of the we ordered the car in the model year 2010 – and see there, we saved over Fr. 5000.- and received one of the last hand switches (from MJ 2011 there is only T5 as a machine). Again we ordered various accessories from Heico and at the Japanese manufacturer “Work” rims on the millimeter exactly for the C70; from America I let the curve stabilizer and the turbo tube fly in from ELEVATE … the waiting time of more than 3 months was curious about the torture, but the joy about the result was then all the greater. Photos and description can be found under the following link: http://www.motor-talk.de/…/volvo-c30-s40-ii-v50-c70-ii At this point a big thank you to the Central Garage Wälty in Niederlenz (www.centralgarage-waelty.ch), to the tire service of Remigen and Gratige can only recommend it to me.

Volvo V50 cold start problems
Hello everyone! Have with my V50 (diesel, bj 09/2004, 136 ps) 2-3 problems: 1.) from an outside temperature of approx. -4 degrees the engine only starts after a very long start time. if that is so every time, my battery will soon be empty. how old is my battery, I can’t say. only the starter has to work exceptionally long until the engine starts. 2.) if I give full gas, I have (can’t specify the speed now exactly) at some point a short break at the gas acceptance (as if I would just climb from the accelerator, but there is no error message) 3.) I come with a full tank about 650 -700 km (then I am in the reserve, where I can drive again about 50 – 100 km) – normal? lt. on board computer the consumption is at 5.1 l/100 km – can’t be…. please to help, so that I will not be taken away in the workshop. thanks to many mf.

Caution with automatic transmission oil change
Beware of automatic transmission oil change Hello guys, I thought a transmission oil change would do my V70 / I (year 1998 / 340.000 km) once good, now the transmission is over. I did it exactly as it is described in motor talk several times, nevertheless I need a new transmission now. Greetings recos1
