  • Vibrations Torque converters

Dear Forum’s community, I have been the proud owner of a Volvo XC90 D4 with front drive year 2016 and have the following problem since acquisition: It comes under load (in acceleration) in the lower gears (2nd and 3rd gear) at a speed between 25-45 km/h to an unpleasant shaking / shaking of the vehicle in longitudinal axis with an estimated frequency of approx. 5-10 heart. It is clearly noticeable at the side cheeks of the seat and also reproducible if e.g. the 2nd gear is locked. Also when braking / sliding is available. The following parking measures have already been carried out by the Volvo dealer: Unfortunately, the above measures still failed to stop the vibration. Jetz I have the torque converter in my eye. Does a transmission oil flushing succeed? Does someone have experience or a tip for me? I am very grateful for any feedback. Lg Matthias

  • Activation of “active park pilot”

Hello, I was able to drive an XC90 sample a short time ago and I’m torn back and forth at the moment. Since vehicle is top and the giant display is not so bad. But I lack the one or other switch to choose functions directly. Among other things for the park pilot. Is there no other way to call it than to torture itself on the touchpad through menus? If I want to park spontaneously I can’t look for it on the display first. I’m faster to park in the old-fashioned way. Can one of the XC90 owners help me with my question? Thanks Lutz

  • Questions about the Brake Assistent Pro

Hello, now I have to ask a modest question about the equipment. For a few weeks now I have been driving the XC70 MY2016 (10/2015) – as a used car. I’m quite satisfied :-). -Vehicle has driver assistance package – ACC and brake assistent – Pro – Driver Alert How can I now fix which version is installed. Or what can the assistant do? I’ve read a lot but am not sure. Emergency brakes in the city worked. I tested yesterday involuntarily. Puh. license plate recognition and Lane…. also works cruise on the highway with brake and drive and hold off also works great. What doesn’t work: For example, if I drive faster than 50 (without tempomat) the light organ blinks and horns though the car does not have to slow down to minimize a driving accident?. I guess that’s what I’ve been thinking about. Somewhat confusing. Thank you for your support.

  • Problems V 50

Hello Volvo-Gemeinde I’m looking for a station wagon. Would you like to buy a V 50? That’s why I read in the forum a little bit. It seems to me that there are some problems with the V 50. Now my questions to you: Are these only problems of individual cars or diseases? I just want to separate myself from my very repair-intensive Sharan. Is the V 50 recommended in this respect? Would you like a great feedback. Greeting Jokart

  • A31 without limitation

Hello Elche, On Friday we tested the “new” A31 from Bottrop to Emden…. The highway is absolutely flat and was like so often completely free from other vehicles…- According to Navi we were calculated a journey time of 3:30.- We have brought the route in 1:10 behind us and could so calmly drive out our D5 times. We noticed a lot: -The roof seems to start clapping, but only without radio perceptible… -The cruiser actually stops at 205 KM/H and was therefore not used on this beautiful day -At 220 the limiter is still pure but it is also not much space in the speed band! -The diesel consumption increased on average 12.9 liters, I still find good at a 60 minutes 220 cut!!! -The Navi needed a long time to find itself on the “new” track again quite correctly. So the V70 has gone absolutely loosely over this track, and one was more rested than after a ride duch the city center. With the V70 one can easily leave a perfect cruise at any time.

  • problem with xenon & steering wheel control

So I wanted to know if this is normal, that the xenon headlights are so low that the distance seems to me very small! And strangely, the buttons of my steering wheel only go when I typed the pin of my phone!!!????!!!! If no sim is in, the steering wheel does not work (buttons)

  • price development V70 II

Hello, today I once again touched the price list V70 Stand 15.04.2000. Very interesting!!! V70 2.4 140PS 27.800 euro V70 T5 35.900 euro V70 2.5D 30.400 euro today: V70 2.4 140PS 30.570 euro V70 T5 40.750e V70 D5 34,540 euro (2.4D: 33.090e) At first sight considerable differences, man have become expensive!!!! Now my internal calculator came out again. So compared the equipment. All cars of the old PL lack the DSTC: 690 Euro Then the current radio 450 (T5 650) have serial and to be exact, one still had to count the comfort package and the design package (bord computer, tempomat, leather steering wheel, etc.). With the newer would then come the aut. abbl. internal mirror, the fixing of the waste bags and the Jaquard vinyl padding. and what happens? – the 2.4 cost now: 32540E, after new PL: 31250 – 3250D 3250.

  • D5 from May ’05 with 185 hp for S60, V/XC70, S80 and XC90?

A new D5 engine for the models S60, V70, XC70, S80 and XC90 is announced in the 2005 car year of the last “Auto, Motor and Sport” (from 24.11.2004) for May ’05. In the text section of the same edition it is stated on p. 26: “From May a new top version with 185 hp will make the five-cylinder diesel more steam.” “Auto-Bild” (from 03.12.2004) exceeds itself almost with long-term news, but also writes at least (on p. 70): “The large diesel is to be increased in two stages. In 2005 the 185 hp variant starts, in 2007 the measuring bar is already at 225 hp.” So something seems to be wrong. Here http://www.motor-talk.de/showthread.php?… were the 185 hp for the XC90 already discussed, but what about the other models? In this thread also the information of several friendly people found itself, which would probably not be anything with May ’05, but rather August ’05?

  • Headphones in the XC90

Dear parents among the XC90 riders, you will certainly have noticed the priceless advantage of the headphone connections on the C-pillars during trips > 10 minutes. However, “Mother Volvo” did not tell us where we should hang the headphones after the end of the ride, especially since “in-ear-buttons” are not loved by all kids – my girls clearly prefer the normal “earpush” with handle. After these things have flown around somewhere in the car so far (“Ups, I’ve probably put on it; luck was only the headphones of …”), I have now found relatively small, crystal clear glue hooks with also transparent adhesive foil from Tesa in our household grab box. It works great!! Lt. Tesa are the adhesives to remove again. If necessary I can also put a photo on. By the way, I have mounted/glued something below the headphone exits. Greeting, Frank – relaxed back from the bridge day trip to the North Sea (also thanks to headrest DVD by Medion )
