Hello dear forum members, I urgently need your help with an electrical problem. Vehicle: V70 Built. 1997 Gasoline Since yesterday my tank indicator and my rev indicator suddenly stop working. The service interval light flashes continuously. The onboard computer only displays time and outside temperature – switching to other information is not possible. The speedometer and the engine temperature indicator work. The engine runs flawlessly. Does any of you know these symptoms? Would be nice of you if you could help. BonoK

Hello dear Volvo community, first of all thank you for your many contributions in this forum that have already helped me with a few problems. However, my Swedes tank has a little problem for a few weeks, to which I have not found a solution in the forum so far. Vehicle data: Volvo 850 TDI First registration: 11/1996 Kilometer level: approx. 265,000 (about 38,000 of me) Automatic gearbox Sometimes when I switch off the car after a ride (short or long does not matter) and want to start again a few minutes later it doesn’t start. Fans, air conditioning, radio work when I turn the ignition key, only the engine doesn’t make a sound. Only when I open the hood and wait for good 10minutes it jumps on as if nothing had ever been done. Does any part of it take no heat, or is the starter vllt. over? I changed the contact plate from the ignition lock months ago after the great instructions from burfil. Thanks already for your answers!

Range indicator V90 T8 after full battery decreases successively
Hello, unfortunately I found nothing in the search function. It’s about the following. I drive a V90 T8 from 07/2018 (Mj 2019) and a mileage of approx. 22,000km. I have the car since May 2020. For about a month my range of the battery indicator drops after a fully charged battery. When I had the car fully charged, the battery showed a range of 39km in hybrid mode. Towards the end of June, the range indicator sank after a fully charged battery to 38km in hybrid mode. Now towards the end of July, after a fully charged battery 37km is displayed. The car stands in a large garage with two cars. My question is, does someone have the same phenomenon or is the battery defective? I find it strange, because LG.

Hello, I soon wanted to change the camshaft adjuster with magnetic switch (B4184S2). And what would interest me sometimes?… I found the camshaft adjustment or the gear wheel on the internet still from febi, which would make for a saving of 100 € – gü. the original part of Volvo – with me. Can you build this without any concern or should be used back to the original? I unfortunately don’t know who is the first outfitter at Volvo. If febi, then it would be an explosion!

Power loss with warm engine
Hello forum, but since a short time and out of the blue I have a rapid power break in warm engine. It feels like a cylinder will fail, which I want to exclude. Short error description: At cold start is the full power and completely normal driving behavior available. This keeps itself without problems, until the engine is warm after 10 to 15 minutes. A short jerking and the engine sounds like a trecker and has no more power. Also the engine switch off and turn on again shows no effect. Only after the engine is properly cooled down is again full power available and no start problems. I exclude spark plugs now – I have just changed them. The ignition coils are it m.M. also not, since I have no ignition triggers but from a certain time permanently the problem described above. Maybe someone knows the error picture or has a tip. Electrics completely gone
Moin, had a Volvo V40, BJ2001, 90KW, drove the day before yesterday normally into the parking gap and from the next day the car did not start. I already had a feeling when turning in gdas that something is wrong. Now neither light, lights, nor can the door be locked. Battery is only one month old. I had hoped that only the mass cable is defective, therefore today with bridge cables connected to motor block, but nothing. Now I don’t know. Can it be due to a fuse?

XC90 and Audi Q7 at the Essen Motor Show
Volvo was not represented itself, but Heico with a beautiful XC90 in dark blue. Opposite was the huge Audi stand with 2 x Q7, one of them also in dark blue (as S-Line) and also a “Hingucker”. The concepts are jä similar: Raised SUV segment, all-wheel, but without reduction, three rows of seats and a lot of loading area. The Audi “wasted” for this over 5.00 meters. The Q7 looks, especially from the front, quite powerful and was much amazed. The sideline is less exciting. The quality impression of the interior equipment is at the level of a Touareg with special equipment, the seats in the two front rows of seats offer decent space (more seat area than in the XC90) and good side support. Also, you will find a little more leather in some places where the XC90 plastic has. Unfortunately, the seats in the third row are – similar to the Volvo XC90 – completely retractable and only what is suitable for shorter distances or smaller people. The ideal charging space is not suitable for the size of the XC90.
