Hello first time, since I’m new here in the forum I introduce myself briefly. My name is Jan, ’87 year of construction and come from the vicinity of Bielefeld (JA there really is!) I play with the thought to buy a ’99 V70 with 198tkm from a notorious Volvo driver. Except the usual flaws (art leather partial equipment is the face and the usual signs of wear, brake is still enough for about 3/4 year) he stands there. To the detail questions : As soon as one activates the brake pedal lights up an orange warning light with a pear symbol, lights are all as far as I have seen this i.O. –> hint of bigger problem? In the rear passenger door should actually be a “position light”, this has been expanded because the permant lights –> door contact or even what bigger is it? The disguise trunk flap is loose, has to save something like that follows: ~8tkm 2.5lPS switch is not available in winter time.

850 TDI, automatic – Strong vibrations in idle mode
My TDI (automatic) has been having annoying vibrations for quite some time in idle. This only occurs if I stand at the traffic light in stage D. Switch on N or give me only a little bit of gas, it is immediately gone. My guess was the two lower and the right engine bearings, which after 390,000 km could adjust their function. However, according to the workshop they are still in order. Now there should be a bearing next to the automatic transmission, which should lie sideways. That could be the cause. Someone knows this bearing and can tell me the position. In principle it would also be enough if I slightly increase the idle speed, but this is not possible. Greeting Holger

The warranty period is by ……….
Well, last week it was time: for the last time on guarantee to defuse free of charge. The balance after 2 years XC 90 is quite modest. I would have expected less of such a premium car (less defects are clear). In all 4 inspections minor warranty defects have been fixed. The main and angle transmission has been renewed. Finally there was a telephone update and a new switch for the cruiser. If you count the workshop stays now because of the problems with the gas conversion, then it will already be the same. The cracking of the spoiler axis persists (I hope there is a callback action), because no error is to be objectiveized. Well: I have never stayed with the box on 90000km. But from the predicate “satisfied customer” I am quite far away. Greeting Thomas ….who is now undertaking test rides again.

Who has rust on V40 year 2003/2004 ?
Hello Forumler! I have one of the last V40 first registration March 2004. I have now found that all four doors and the tailgate at the lower edges are starting to bloom. Also the right threshold in front of the rear wheelbox has a bubble. This could come from a rockfall. Volvo refuses to accept a cost because I was not at a loss every 12 months. However, in the warranty conditions the maintenance of all 12 months is only recommended, the compliance with the approximate mileage is required. I have kept to that. In the own rusting guarantee no maintenance is required at all. Now to my question to all V40 owners of the registration years 2003/2004! Who has found rust on his vehicle? Please report to me! I believe Volvo has lubricated the vehicles because of the sales prices. How do you see this. How are your experiences with Volvo in terms of rust?

Hello! I’m thinking about buying a Volvo in the near future, because I’m starting my training as an automobile salesman at Volvo soon. What do you think of the S80 2.9? That’s a pure six-cylinder or ? That it’s probably more than 10 liters in consumption is clear to me, but where are the exact values? NO WISH WASCH VERKAUSLACKUNG Now other things are necessary. Engine runs impeccable, consumes as good as no oil (between the intervals approx. 500-600ml tilt) and the elch should remain in my possession for a long time. Buy me now another elch so that the c70 can only be moved from time to time. So the following should be done: – drive shafts li. u. re. (genuine parts) – motor bearings complete (still uncertain if genuine parts) – exhaust system (scandix) – dome bearings vo. and rear (scandix) – axle bearings at the rear (scandix) – motor bearings complete (still unsure if genuine parts) – exhaust system (scandix) The whole thing should not be done in individual orders, but should be made over time.

Hello, everybody! Come from ‘Italeri 1947’ and his ‘Gasthaus’ to the Volvo experts, because dieselmaster infected me with the Volvo virus and just bought myself successfully. I found one in Munich from private who is perfectly equipped for me and has only a few kilometers down. That’s important to me because of an even more necessary conversion to gas. He has two small stacks (paint on a fender leaves, Tacho hangs). hi leutz, have recently discovered a Volvo S60 R [in grey] that I have never seen before[with body kit] That was love at first glance. At home immediately arrived and made me smart at mobile.de and autoscout.de. Result is; little KM [ca50.000KM], top maintained[checkbook] etc. for proud 25,000€,…. ever my question what would cost me about insurance and control? Is a 2.5ccm with 300hp …should be known My buddies think I’m stupid but the car has potential….and the shaffig would not be a problem for me. would be happy about answers from you…maybe a few reviews greeting
