  • May I introduce… My new moose 😉

Hello Motor-Talker, finally found a nice (new) moose. It’s a 2.5T first registration 98 with 206,000km first hand 🙂 Unfortunately with integrated light organ in the dashboard 🙁 MKL and ABS/Tracs light up and flash every now and then. However, I’ll get to the bottom of the thing, I guess anyway that I can blame the marten who was there. But all in all I’m really happy to have found a Sweden so well-preserved, so you can really see away from such small things. I also have some fresh pictures 😉

  • My Dog Grid Mounting Experience

The other day I wanted to install my dog grid (the one with the dampers), which I had acquired from an MT member in my 850 station wagon. Both plastic covers in the sky above the rear seats were quickly removed, also the two screws – one of them relatively heavy. But when I turned the second screw in it happened: the welding nut loosened and the screw is stuck in the thread (the welding nut spins with it). I know through my service documents that Volvo has not really pointed at some welding nuts (especially the railing nuts), but it’s off. Today I have bent away the sky at the relevant place from my battle-850 and saw that I don’t get between the sheet doubling (column about 1cm). What now?

  • LEDs for window lifter V70

Hello you !!! I’m looking for WEISSE LEDs for the window lifters and the light switch in the V70. The question is only which are the right ones. LEDs with resistance which are suitable for 12V, I found (or rather scuty) only in red, green and yellow.-White LEDs I could find in 3mm (also in 5mm, but there they are too big,or?) . I assume it should be max 3mm. But with what resistance? Is this a calculation example if the LED 20mA needs current strength and 3.2V voltage? Can someone help me ?

  • Where do you buy your shock absorbers?

  • 850TDI Automatic counter reset

Hello Volvo colleagues, have changed the ATF with my TDI and according to the instructions you should reset the “gear counter”. Has anyone done this by yourself? I mean with what program? Thank you, edu850

  • Brake problems and nobody finds anything

That’s a good morning for me. First of all, I’m sorry about my moose: Volvo V70 I, 2,4l 121kW or 165 hp, Bj 1999, Motor B5254S I have a problem. Sure, otherwise I wouldn’t write…. It’s about the brake from my moose. The problem only occurs once in a while. And even if my mechanic (no Volvo workshop) is NOT sitting in the car and I could demonstrate to him how it feels. So (for the cases in which it happens): When I drive a track (so 3-5 km) and over 50km/h and I step on the brake (seek, not fully step through to slow down the car), the brake pedal can be passed for about 1cm. Then I have to get off the brake. If I don’t feel like I’ve hit on a thorn, it’s not like the brake force or effect again.

  • Let’s ask a general question about driving with cruise control

A question from someone who has only had a cruise control since February: Where do you have your right foot? Last night I drove about 40 km of country road, which mainly goes straight ahead and had to constantly hover the foot over the brake because I thought, my reaction time is certainly better if an animal jumps out of the forest. How does that handle the practiced cruise control driver? Put your feet on the ground? And are there also some who drive in the tailor’s seat?? Joke aside… Would I be interested anyway! Greetings Eric

  • V70-II: Punished feathers even without lowering ???

I’ve been driving a V70-II, 2,4T, Bj. 00. Before that, I had a V40 with H&R springs, because the car was originally too high-legged – especially on the front axle. After the installation of the H&R springs also a much better road position was added to the harmonious look. At the V70 I have now no optical problem, but one with the road position of the car. It just floats too much, after various ground waves it sets the rear axle as if the car had a rigid axle like a truck. It is probably so that I also have to miss this car harder springs, so that it finally becomes more stable. (after I probably still wanted to get a BSR-PPC – but so hard on this road situation? I don’t like to get a better look?

  • Brake discs XC90 broken???

Day all together!!! Have quite deep stripes inside my brake discs. Now I ask myself the question or not???? WHY do you mean??? Did I have a longer braking distance??? How did these stripes come about??? How can I avoid them?? Did I drive just 15tkm!!! Yes are front left and right

  • Flashed…

Hello, yesterday it happened again,I was flashed for the third time in 28years In a beautiful wide forest avenue I wanted to whistle the turbocharger briefly ,there I see a red old Ford Escort tournament at the road side….Zaaaapf did it and I was almost blind ,because I had looked in full the lightning. Short view on the speedo showed just over 70KM/H. – I turned to see if you can talk to the driver, but no one had been overwhelmed in the vehicle!!! The trunk was unfortunately too, otherwise I would have now a new chambera May that be so,or must always be a flasher sitting in the vehicle? Or is such a mobile stration also considered a rigid box? What cost about 20KM/H over 50?! Human now I’m smooth to the frenzy, but it was summer 7 degrees and the birds intertwined their song (hopefully not their last) that had just made fun again, until the time of the greeting point of Martin Martin’s Martin’s Martin.
