  • V70 I on LPG – and the master says – PANIK!

    I recently bought a well-kept 99er V70 (YV1LW65F9Y2661856 automatic 24 liters 140 hp) and had the good piece of a professional workshop refitted with a Vialle LPG system. Now I was back in the workshop to change tires where the previous owner always had the car heated and maintained (seat dealer – seems to have honest skin with a clue). And the master said to me in the car he had already advised the previous owner of a change – the engine was not suitable. I should definitely let all 10000 km to make an oil change no matter what the previous owner had driven since the last oil. I am quite a layman and now somewhat irritated.     Hello, my wife just filled 25 liters of Super in the empty tank. It’s a 2.0D…. Still while the fuel ran into the tank she noticed the confusion and interrupted the tank operation. The engine was not started. What’s coming to us now? Is it enough to pump the tank empty, or does the complete injection system have to be cleaned?

  • V50 Preheating / Used car warranty

    Hello together, have me here registered in the hope that someone can help me here further. I bought me before 4 months ago. A V50 2.0D. The car is BJ. 2004 and has now 133000km on it ( when buying he had 122000km) unfortunately had to find out that the heater does not work. Is probably the control unit or the fan. When the vehicle was handed over the heating was also not at, because it was about 20degrees warm thought it is simply too warm that it does not concern. Since I bought the car from a VW dealer ( about 200km away from me) and have the PerfectCar guarantee, I thought that the thing is probably a case for the guarantee. It is not only a stand heating but a heater which was unlocked as a stand heating. According to the dealer however, there is not taken over because he has sold me the vehicle explicitly with stand heating. Also the “nice” lady from the VW insurance says there is not only a stand heating but a heater which was unlocked as a stand heating. But because not so much because he has taken over to me because of the warranty can help me from the nice thanks already.

    Hello volvogemeinde, with me there is a change of oil again.I am inconclusive about what I should take for oil.Now I have 5W40 in it. but somehow it evaporates with mainly short distances.What oil is recommended that the engine does not take any harm and the lubrication is well guaranteed. until soon balu thank you in advance for possible answers.

  • Turbocharger from C70 T5 to C70 2.0T ?

    I would like to have a little more Ps on my Volvo C70 2.0T Built: 2002. I heard that I should best take the turbocharger from the T5. Does anyone know if this works and if and how much Ps I have more then. Did I have to do more than just dive the loader? If that wouldn’t work, you could then write me another way to get more power! Thanks….

    Hello Hi I’m here now completely new, recently shot me a Volvo 850 2.5 20V for 375€. was a little bit of something but thanks to your contributions and the one or other repair instruction (Heynes) I’m as good as through. Through the bare reading of your posts I’ve already done, head seal, valve shaft seals and all other, OT point found, timing belts and water pump, seat heating, ABS and Tracs control unit and some smaller things. To the control unit still short, error memory erasure has with + – hold together not worked, I think. Lamps are still on. Well, not to deviate from the subject first, a quite cordial thank you!!!!! And for further helpful tips and tricks, cheer! Oh yes, jamand has an idea like this with the universal cat, with the markings E or R is actually so clear but I have to pay attention to something special except measure and ccm? again thanks

So I stopped, look what’s going on… engine absolutely dry. So fill up oil… and look there: 4l was missing!! So the bucket swallowed 4l/500km… then I hit the engine again and heard that the engine is horribly clapping… I thought spontaneously about the hydro impact… and the next day in the workshop the master also thinks: Hydro impact and probably also valve shaft seals broken… I would like to exchange these now, because the repair in the workshop probably costs a fortune… and in this way I ask if someone can give me tips about it. Specifically: – How big is the effort? – Are special tools needed? – What do you have to pay attention to? – Does the repair at all cost?     Hello together, I’ve had a little dream since Sep.2009 and I’ve had a C70I (BJ 1999), 2,4T with 196 horses. Cabrio. Now I’m the ‘crazy’ who rides through the country with every sunbeam without a cover… 🙂 I’ve had a lot of trouble in the forums, but still have a few questions that you might be able to answer to me. 1) A super car, with which driving makes fun for me again (with a year’s KM performance up to 35,000KM), a completely new, beautiful driving feeling… .. 2) my first question 🙂 I notice with street noises (channel covers, etc) that the side wheel on the driver’s side briefly claps, is that normal or I can’t fix it with silicone (there is no frame or rubber lip, since cabrio, or gun oil sprays, or you have another solution right away, or solution? 3) actually my biggest problem: The foreowner has probably when opening the roof is not able to fix the fold properly, the fold now has to the open again.
