  • Blower defective the xte

    I also count among the lucky ones with a defective blower. I drive a diesel Bj 2002 with manual air conditioning. The problem: the blower cannot be switched off, runs constantly on medium level. If I turn on level six it will be a bit faster. That’s it. Sounds like it was, but with me there are different resistances than described. I looked for the said pre-resistance from the different other contributions. With me there is a thick white block. (not the said resistance MJ 802). The other pre-resistance was probably built in with me once by the friendly, as the fan did not at all. Besides the fan is also a golden electronic part. ( 4 contacts – inscription: Omron G4L-1124T / 12 V 20 A / 0661D7). If I solve the plug, the fan is constantly at the highest level and can’t be regulated at all. Question? Could it be that this unknown electronic part regulates the blower and is defective?

  • Buy Volvo V70 with 300,000km?

    Moin, I’ve been looking for an older Volvo for a long time, now I’ve found a V70 gasoline engine with 144 hp from 1999. What should you pay special attention to when it comes to mileage and what are the child’s illnesses? Perhaps my driving behaviour: I’ll soon do my paxis semester and do about 20-30km a day for the first 6 months. After that I would like to keep it but then I’d rather travel 30km a week.

  • Rear windscreen wipers in the washway

    Hello! Now there is already a washing system theme for the XC70, but the XC90 wants one more… 🙂 This is not about the tank cover (which seems to be relatively stable in the XC90), but about the rear windscreen wiper (which hangs so crooked down after each patch of the tailgate, that you have to be afraid that it will fall off). In this case, the thick guy wanted a wash, but unfortunately lost his rear windscreen wiper, because such a bad brush has just torn it off. That is, only the leaf has fallen down (with the holder), because a small plastic part of this click system has broken off on the handle (that is firmly connected to the wiper motor) from this click system. Has this happened to you or does the elk perhaps only want a real hand wash (maybe it is a bit of a piece)? Basti (“If only the car was washed by the dad, it is also broken.”

  • XC-Haldex (even with Instant Traction) isn’t that good?

    Hi together, we all remember the funny action of a German TV production, which had to mount an XC90, which had just driven a little bit into the snow (800KB, WMV. Now I just happened to film a well-known, sporty XC90 driver, as he “liberates” himself from an almost less dangerous situation (6.1MB, MPEG). Wouldn’t you have expected a “twitching” of the rear wheels here at least? The front wheels are going through more than once? How was it with the quarter or 4x turnaround until the electronic clutch gripped? Between these two clips there is a lot of time and 80Nm Haldex pretension.   • Is black Volvo paint more sensitive than other brands? Or is it imaginable?

    Hello, I have a black C70. Either I have become too pimply by now, but somehow my bonnet/front bumper now seems to me after approx. 48T-Km a little demolished. A lot of small stone impact damage. Why I ask this so much? I had a black S3 as a previous car. And so I was “done” and I didn’t notice stone impact damage in the number. But now with the C70 I am the one who is overtaken and like an opa driving – close up I avoid – alone for the reason, because you just drive more relaxed. You also get older! So I can’t explain! What experiences did you have? Especially with the black/dark lacquer at Volvo? Thanks already!

  • Track broadening C70 II

    Hello together, I am driving the Mirzam 18 inch rims on my C70 at the moment. I would like to do a track widening on the HInteraxe now. I spoke with a tuner and if I only widen 20 or 30 mm, then the existing standing bolts have to be replaced, which costs again unnecessary workshop-hours. Now a tuner recommended the 40mm widening. with this the Volvo bolts are fixed within the widening with retractable nuts and out of the widening new standing bolts are available for the wheel assembly. My question to you… Can anyone tell me if the 40mm still fit into the rear wheel box? I (and the TÜV) have no interest that the wheels will be grinding or additional work required. I have Mirzam mounted with 235 maturation. many thanks for your help. frank P.S. Can someone tell me what the load in Germany at TÜV cost about ?

  • Used V50 against new Hyundai

Well, I am proud owner of a beautiful v50, now 5years old and almälich start the repairs, last year’s ignition lock,Lima,disk wiper motor,air conditioning system.And since I’m not so well placed anymore financially (divorce) I have thought of mocking the good piece and with some allowance to buy a new Hyundai I30combi,5 years guarantee appeals to me.So with the use of 4000 euros we say a nimble new car to drive.   • Oil pan defective – only renewed 10 days ago!!!

    Hello. First of all, all of you happy Christmas. With us it is, however, first with the joy. My friend just found out that under her V50 there is a huge oil pool. Oil lamp has also lit, the container is apparently completely empty. Have now called the Volvo Assistance, since we bought the V50 only in June, thus still guarantee… According to information of which also no problem, at least verbally they have promised the cost assumption. But now the hammer. Now exactly 10 days ago the car was in the workshop – 150TKM inspection. There it was established that a crack is in the oil tank, should pay – 950€ incl. everything. After consultation with the friendly, where we have the car we got around the costs around it, because only half a year ago we bought – very kulant, after my opinion. But how can it be thanks that now, after a few days exactly this oil tank is defective? Too bad? The latter can be excluded, at least not the same thing? And we have not noticed the warranty? In fact, the question is over again again for me.
