Hi, on Wednesday I get from the Volvo dealer a V70 with the 140hp natural gas engine for an extensive test drive.. Would have rather taken the S40 or V50, but there is no engine 🙁 Since the V70 is not my case, the S60 would be my alternative. Of course my own impression will be decisive, but comments or experiences from you would still be desirable.

Volvo seat cushions
Hello, like many others, I am dissatisfied with the seats (the upholstery) of the Volvo, especially the front seats. Many complain about the quality of the leather. Because this A. removes the color and B. the leather “looses” from the seat, expands and becomes unsightly. Of course, it hits the driver’s seat particularly. In my opinion, it’s not just the leather. I think it’s mainly the foam of the seat cushions. It’s simply too soft and loses its stability and thus the leather expands, if used for longer. One prefers to sit on a sofa (Volvo), another prefers to have a little more hold and guidance when sitting (such as VW). With many other manufacturers, the seat – foam is much firmer and offers a certain comfort for longer. My question: Is there anyone who knows where to buy refabricated seat cushions for a Volvo? Is there anyone who does something like that? Thank you for your answers.

Volvo 850, ’95, blower does not ventilate
Hello and Moin! I’ve been driving a Volvo 850 that I used to buy with 340tkm. I’m incredibly disturbed by the non-functioning fan of the interior ventilation and I’d be happy to fix the problem because the permanent humidity inside the car and the view just don’t do well! By the way, the car has an automatic climate control. I’ve read a lot here and acted accordingly. A small crash: – At first the blower didn’t run at all. – The blower engine, however, ran perfectly in the extended condition. – I’ve replaced the pre-resistance with another used one, because I suspected the error in this one. – Now the blower motor (in built-in condition) ran for about 2 seconds when I switched on the ignition. After that was quiet again. – So I could assume once that the old pre-resistance was broken or was smoked by another malfunction function. – So I’ve got a used control part, because I’ve always suspected the error. – I’ve installed it today and unfortunately, the operating part of the operating engine didn’t start again.

Radio into the ventilation shaft
Tomorrow For a long time now, I have been interested in the topic of “Installing a car radio from Alpine”, it is not easy because the factory radio remains in the old place. I find it difficult to do so. Maybe you could try to expand the central console/ventilation grille (or warning indicator) and instead install the 1 Din Radio/DVD player. But how do I build up the two ventilation grilles? I don’t want to start scratching in the new car.

Hi it is possible to change the flash interval by another relay. from the standard 3 times blinking to one time blinking? depends only on the relay or is that integrated into the vehicle software?!

Hello Together, two questions… what did the new Volvo C70 (from year 2006) mean for a designation to distinguish it from its predecessor. In the INternet and EBAY you often find the name in the report for the type “N”… is this the “old” C70. I’m looking for rims for the winter tyres. knows but only 5 holes hole circle 108mm The rest should not be so wild, or ? Tyre size 215 and important the load index of at least 90 because of the vehicle weight… What can you tell me about it? I wanted to take the 16 inch variant rather because cheaper. BC – Average consumption completely wrong values at 1.6D
Hello, with my V50 1.6D MJ 2008 the BC constantly shows a much too high average consumption. I fill up full and then calculate the actual consumption. After fully refueling I always reset the BC completely. The deviation is the greater, the more I drive in the city. Sometimes I drive a whole tank filling away in the city, then the BC shows values between 8-10 l/100km. When calculating then I arrive at 6-7 l/100km (average consumption). The BC shows then already an average consumption of 2.5l at times! Only if I drive only highway and country road (holidays + departures), the indicated average consumption reaches the actual value. Then the BC shows still about 0.5 to 1l too much, but nevertheless. Unfortunately on the 26tkm driven so far an average deviation of 1.2l/100km has set itself. At the first inspection the friendly one has made an update, without effect! The tyre measurements were also checked. With my old V40 1.9D MJ 2001 the BC values were very accurate, but not so much to the average deviations?

LPG/LPI Conversion/ Incidents/driving mode vs. soft valves
Hello together, the driving style seems to be a big factor in all the upgrades; I often read between the lines that many drivers risk high speeds with LPG/LPI, damage their systems sustainably and end up crying out in the forums. Maybe I’m conservative there, but over 140kmh I wouldn’t drive with an upgrade anyway longer than 2-3min. (and then also not over 160-180kmh) Is everything a matter of discipline at the end? How is your assessment, experience etc…? Best regards, H.

Hello, I’ve been looking for a convertible for quite some time, I’ve already dealt with MB SL 320, CLK 320, BMW 330ci Cabrio but unfortunately there was nothing good at a reasonable price so far. Today I noticed a C70 during a long car ride, because I shot in the head “there could look around”. Quickly done and joa I have to say, it doesn’t look so bad at all. My parents were already with Volvo 2 years ago, but it has become a CLK then. If then it would become a C70 BJ 2006-2007 with the 220hp T5 engine. – Is the engine comparable with a 320 V6 engine? (quietly running) Automatic is a MUST with me, but has it with him. – Is there a trailer coupling, or how much can it pull? – How does it look like with the consumption? (24.000 km/year 80% car lane, 15% country road, 5% city mostly 110-120 km/h) (driving a 2.0 Ford diesel and coming under the factory specifications) but I don’t like the engine?

Hello guys, maybe someone can help me.I would like to add a new radio with MP3 function to my Volvo V50 Bj 12/04.Have already developed the radio and changer to see what’s going on.But what it looks like you have to buy some adapter plugs.I would then try to install the radio where the changer was sitting.Can someone give me some tips?Or is that not possible?
