Hello together while I’m thinking about the choice of decorative inserts (here) I didn’t want to keep the following question from you: On some pictures (e.g. in the Swiss XC90 catalogue; image source media.volvocars.com) upholstered armrests can be seen in the rear doors, as well as ventilation nozzles in the C-pillars (without separate air conditioning for the third row). But the exhibition vehicles of my dealer didn’t have either. Did Volvo save anything from MJ to MJ as with the seat heating mats? Greetings Christoph

The 6-speed manual transmission is fantastically good (better than in my V70) and the passage in the middle speed range is just right for relaxed cruising. After having said a lot of negative things about the seats, I can’t confirm this. I have no problems with the headrest and also the seat area is almost optimal for me. However, the seats are also not quite steeply upright. The side support is worse than in my V70, but with the XC90 you will not drive any extreme bend speeds at all. The Navi works, but often wanted to pilot me from the highway with the hint “traffic problem?” , although everything was free and the headrest of 24 km does not exist at all.

Hello parishioners! Do you actually give a guide for the XC 90, how to unscrew the car and that is so that I can put it back together again? It’s a sad day…… read today in the automotive week that the managing director of Volvo D announced that there will be no R-models from the 2007 model year onwards. There are not many who drive a R, but they will probably lose a few customers again. Hopefully this decision will be reconsidered! Too bad that Ford as a mother as Volvo is not to help!! Hi together, on Thursday I was allowed to drive D5er ́s GTI 😉 No, Martin didn ́t let me into his flicker, I got into this one for a short time, which my brother had as a workshop replacement car, because they had built crap with his with the (diesel) turbocharger 🙂 It was already dark and when getting into the damn fitting sports seats (not that they were now uncomfortable) the view fell on the blue tacho, which is excellent up to speed 300. In my head: That ́s how a Volvo R driver has to happen 😉 [Edit: Tacho, not the rest of the vehicle ;-)]

I had the pleasure of driving a Q7, 3.0 TDI and wanted to get rid of my first impression here. As far as the engine is concerned, I can only say that I would like to have this one in my elk, but it is surprisingly loud, my xc 90 is quieter what surprised me. The space conditions are impressive, just in the back, just you are sitting somehow different, sitting in the elk is easier, you are sitting higher. For my taste is too much electronics installed, you have hardly a chance without an instruction manual. The shape from the side and from behind I find not very successful, because I like the XC 90 nevertheless better. The highly praised chassis has completely disappointed me, at a fast driven highway exit the Q7 wanted to break out, so that the ESP had to intervene, I take this exit with my xc 90 quite loosely and still have reserves. Conclusion: For me as XC 90 driver there is no reason to change to the Q7, I wait and hope the Volvo brings a powerful 6 cylinder diesel at some point. To all now: That is my personal opinion.
