  • Quality differences Motor oil

    Hello municipality. I have a question. At the last oil change I filled Castrol Magnatec 5 W 40 in my 850 2.0 10V. With about 60,- Euro for 6 liters not exactly a bargain. (the friendly wanted but smooth the double)! Now I opened up a raffenery near me, they sell their oil with absolutely identical classification for 23,- Euro per 5 liter. But a friendly mechanic advised me not to use this oil because he also tried a cheap oil once and found a clear flapping of the valves on his car afterwards.   • Door Panel, Sound and Amplifier

    Moin, we’ve been looking for our Volvo V90 Inscription(04/2018) probably next week and I wanted to replace the speakers, as well as a subwoofer and amplifier. I’ve been looking for a long time here in the forum and found nothing suitable so far. 1. How can I remove the door panels, so far no guidance found. 2. I’ve read that the amplifier in the standard sound system is under the passenger seat. It’s been asked again if that’s what it is, as an answer came only that it is generally known. So I don’t have this knowledge, is that the amplifier under the seat? 3. If someone has a connection plan from the amplifier, then you don’t have to measure it. 4. I’ve read the Volvo using a Most Audio system, it’s supposed to be stubborn. Is there maybe amplifier that can handle it, or suitable adapters? 5. The subwoofer should be hidden a below the driver seat or. The passenger seat should be matching system. If there’s probably enough space then if the seat has gone down and someone who could recommend it to me? In the Reserve Mulde we don’t want to build a subwooer, because we’t have the driver’ve got the next to say that the speaker?

  • Volvo XC90 II T8 Consumption in caravans

    Hi, I would like to know what usages you have with your T8 while pulling a “normal” caravan? I shot to the lake today, average speed 98km/h per Thempomat and with a trailer weighing approx.2000kg, there was the average at 16,3ltr. That scared me a bit, because I had to fill up on the track even 2x. That was not used to me from the old XC 90 d5. That came with 12,5ltr diesel and did not have the “thousand” charges etc. of the new XC. Which also brings me to the second question. Did someone find a working variant to use the electric engine? I played all possible variations, while driving, but none lowered the consumption. Besides, he only allows the H battery in the save up to 10km range, so that I could not even drive on the country road really electronically. Why is this so, though it is also in the BA, but does not make sense? I’m curious about your experiences?

  • Engine damage V50 1.6D

    Hello, we have an engine damage on our V50. Year of construction 2007, bought last March. The soot particle filter would be clogged and therefore our used car warranty will pay nothing. When we bought the car he had 120,000 and a new soot particle filter in it (which was probably already clogged before). We drove with it 30,000 km and often long distances, therefore we think that we did not have the part clogged by wrong driving method. In the meantime already the turbocharger and the light engine was broken (only trouble with the car!) In theory then something else would have led to excessive sooting then, if the thing is so fast again, or? Do you have there perhaps some clues what could be responsible for it? Oh, yes: it was not indicated to us that the part is clogged. The car has jerked well, my friend has driven next to it and has called the ADAC and there was already too late… Differential pressurer broken? When the previous owner had the clogged soot particle filter was probably at that time, but at least did not return to an error message.

Drive the V50 1.6l petrol now since 3000 km and have found that the only way to stay under 7 l is not to drive faster than speed 100. I drive almost only motorway, always swim with, without much gas/brake. At the moment I have vredestein snowtrac winter tires on it.   • Too stupid for easy entry – C30?

    So now I finally have it, for 6 days I can call it my own, the beautiful C30 (EZ 03/07) Everything tolli, only the folding of the seats does not work at all. I do something wrong: as described here already, pull up the lever to the hitch, fold lean forward, then the seat slips almost like by itself fast forwards, ok so far. but then, how can I get the seat back? where do you touch it? as soon as I take the lever on the lean (do not pull up) only the lean back. the seat stays in front. if I then push it back by hand with the grip under the cushion, he makes funny crashing noises, has something to ruin.
