  • After ASU engine damage???

Hello. I was just with my 850 2,5 tdi elch at the TÜV…wouldn’t have been a problem…just… After the first acceleration at the ASU the engine stuttered and went out. After that started again but also immediately after stuttering out again. There was no smoke generation, did not get hot, engine doesn’t oil or the like. … Now there is more happening if I want to start, i.e. the starter would like to but it feels like what is blocked. The timing belts are both still on and so far as possible rib belts have been removed and up to the bottom wheel (drive shaft??) spin all. What could be going on there? Does anyone have an idea? Motor damage? But in what form? Can I still do something or go to the slaughterhouse? Best regards Martin

  • Buy old C70 with gas system?

Hello Forum. On behalf of the customer, a dealer sells a C70 I 2.4 liter 170 hp petrol with 177,000 km. It is a Prins gas system installed, but I don’t know when (will ask me at the dealer’s office on Monday after the date of installation). So I assume that the system is about as old as the car. I don’t know about gas systems, nor about Volvo’s idea (run an Audi A4 B5) and would like to ask what to pay attention to here. How much money will I have to put in the car after the purchase and in the next few years? Is it worth it? I can’t spend too much money on reperatures.

  • C70 brake: conversion 15″ to 16″, length of brake hoses

Hello! After my 15″ brake discs (280mm) have already exceeded the end of the life, I plan to upgrade my C70 to the somewhat more stable 16″ system (302mm, front). Ordered for this: -> Volvo caliper holder for the larger disc -> 302mm brake discs Zimmermann punched (here you can be divided, some had probables with it, I’ll try it myself) -> new brake blocks (TRW or ATE, depending on what the dealer gets faster) I still have a few questions about the brake hoses: my Volvo dealer recommended me new hoses, since the saddles will now sit further out. Anyway, I wanted to change, because my Coupe should run for a few years. Unfortunately he could not tell me how much longer the hoses should be. Does anyone know of you the correct length? Am also the superior to build up steel flex lines (Goodridge or similar) because there is experience with it? Thanks, Michael

  • Slight shaking at the front Wat can be that?

Hello, since I bought it, I’ve had such a slight shaking (very tiny but annoying) in the front area. But that’s not permanent what I would conclude on the tires. I’ve accelerated the car – engine off – is still there triangle handlebars – game – replaced – still there Ninovat defective – replaced – a little better but still there problem with full right-hand check – now and then it cracks – cathedral bearings defective? Shock absorber in front defective? Does anyone have a tip where I can still look? Or do I have with my guess right that the front dampers or dome bearings are there? Are the rod rubbers also in question? Mercy Rudi

  • Contrary to the order

Here the announced Fred: My best wife of all, who during the last two days has devoted himself extensively to breastfeeding and sleeping TFM (well so. Real men don’t need instruction!), has discovered at the XC 70 from above to below that the rear seat is not 40-20-40-divisible contrary to the order. At least 350 € extra charge if I am not mistaken. What do I do with the friend? Ask for him to be repaired? 350 Öcken from him (is a leasing Fz. and I really would like the 40-20-40 solution, otherwise I would not have ordered it!)? To press a leaf saw in his hand and watch it at a craft hour? I’m not yet sure, but think that I want to have a new rear seat. Is that possible without further a problem? Does anyone have experience with such things (ordering equipment and delivered equipment do not cover themselves)? Monty, who would like to receive advice on this subject. Should be possible, with so many questions…

  • MJ24 – ISA

Moin together, I get my XC60 T6 charge very probably in February 2024 (ordered 05/2023). On the HP of Volvo is already the model year 2025 in the configurator, if I have seen it right. 1. Question: Will the model year 2024 then be, right? When will Volvo change the model years? 2. Does someone already have a 24er? Is there already the insidious ISA (itelligent speed assist) on board? This is mandatory only from approval 07/2024. If yes, I would be interested if this thing is as annoying as I imagine it…. Thank you and greeting

  • Because of Volvo on call, where exactly is the small battery installed in the S90?

According to Volvo service, I have the message “Volvo on call, service required” on the driver display, although the service has just been performed with oil change, update, etc. It should be due to a small battery, but where?

  • Leaves sieves on one side only?

Hello, when removing leaves with the windscreen wipers, I noticed that only one side has a leaf sieve attached. Did I wonder why this is only on one side, and if it might have been forgotten to install it during a repair? I also did not find it to order, so the left side is not. Maybe you can help me if there is the right side at all and if so where I get it from? Best regards

  • Small report on the Heico C30 at the 24h race

Here’s a little interim report for the Heico C30. After a lot of screwing up earlier, the C30 is on the 70th place in total. Apparently it’s quite round so far, because an insanely fast car in the same class, the Raeder Audi TT RS (fastest lap about 1 minute faster!!), is at 68th place and would have even been overtaken by another unscheduled stop of the Audi. I will continue to report.

  • 2.0d 120Tkm Wartng DPF Change or not!

Tach together, these days the watch at my V50 (Bj.06) changed to 120T km and drove me (whether the maintenance costs) immediately the sweat beads on the forehead. I knew from the Volvo dealer that at 120T the DPF sometimes curses is changed – cost point: 1,300 T€uronen! To check out some alternatives I let myself be a KVA at the screwdriver of my trust (not Volvo!!!). What was quite surprising: He expands the DPF, disassembles and cleans it up and then builds it up again. That would be quite enough, the part to replace completely is money making – material fatigue not to be expected. The additive is self-replenished. (at Peugeot – and the engine is known therefore – this is often not done differently – and the part is then declared as new, but this is another topic). To sum up: 120T – maintenance is cleaned up with DPF, oil change and what else is made: 450 € (oil I bring with oil) the binovo.
