  • iPhone after update to 4.2.1 no more iPod function

    Hello municipality, I drive a Volvo C30 2.0D Powershift BJ 5/2010 in Momentum equipment and High Performace Radio. So far the iPod function of my iPhones worked without any problems via the normal iPhone USB cable. Yesterday I now have a new firmware installed, from 4.1 to 4.21 on the iPhone and since then the music no longer works…. The iPhone reports that the device is not supported and appears in the display of the radio, “Unreadable” when I select USB as input source. Did you also have this experience?? Can I reset the iPhone firmware to 4.1 or is there an update for the High Performance System? I must anyway within the next 14 days for 20000 inspection. If there is an update of Volvo, this can be directly recorded. Thanks for any tips in advance. Grumpy

  • V 50 is a premium car !!!!!!

    Hello all, my V 50 2.0 D, Built 3 /2006 has a small repair at 95,500 km behind it. One staune:- alternator totally broken, bearings firmly, has almost torched the engine, – right shock absorber totally broken, everything full of oil, of course both replaced, – all belts and tensioners of the alternator replaced, – additional inspection complete. Now the price: 1800€, hat off, even Premium Cars. The Fz is driven quite normally as family car. As candy: In 20,000km all 4 disks are due and, almost I would have forgotten. the particle filter for 700 €. Is just Premium. Now I am served. Greetings Volvo41

  • C30 Cosmic White Metallic or Polar White

    Hello! Does anyone have experience with the two white variants? Is the surcharge on Cosmic White worth? Is this less sensitive to dirt like polar white? Or just take the polar white and put the saved money into the cleaning? Would I be happy if someone could post their experiences. Thank you!

    Hello guys, I’ve been following the posts about the XC90 for a long time now. I’m thinking about canceling my already ordered ML280cdi again and I’m rewarded with an XC90. There are two reasons for this: 1. The cost factor – we get a 15% discount from our company, which results in a considerable advantage in favour of the XC90 with comparable equipment. 2. A feeling or desire that I absolutely must have the XC90, I have had this since my trial with the D5. Actually I didn’t want to separate from MB, because I’ve never had any problems with my three vehicles so far and I’m still enthusiastic about the comfortable driving feeling. But somehow the XC90 pleased me and hope that now with the FL there are also gray leather seats (no inscription). I’ve chosen the following equipment for myself. black D5 Summum Geartronic abd. Disks Parktronic front and rear elektr. Servoreling inserts Pianoblack leather beige can explain to me what the Wtho can explain to me with the automatic, too.

  • Today XC90 D5 test drive

    Hello, today I drove an XC90 D5 (185 hp) 6-speed manual gearbox Summum, 5 seater Probe. Positive: the room is built up great. Front, rear and also in the “case room” significantly more space than in the V70. The elevated seating position is pleasant, the boarding is great, the driving feeling is also great. Driving noises are O.K. Negative: I am somewhat spoiled by the V70 2.4T. The D5 is quite lame in the sprint from 0 to 100. Also when the model series is overtaken quickly (turning back, giving gas and passing) it is clearly carried. The cockpit and the interior still look quite cheap, Volvo somehow doesn’t have the happy edge – no comparison to VW. I’m curious how the 2007 model series becomes… The radio has a mise reception, in the V70 with the HU603 I have a distinctly better reception (on the same driving track).

  • Spare part for roof beams

    Hello, have lost the plastic cover marked with red in the attached picture. According to VOLVO, the part is not in replacement. The roof rack costs 170,–€ and I should throw it away now because of a cent article? That can’t be possible. Does any of you have a helpful hint or a tip for me? Thank you very much in advance.   • Coating XC 90 attachments

    Has anyone ever painted the exterior sizes at the XC 90? An alternative would be to dye them with a special spray? At least with the black car these deep black colored would look much better… Greetings, Steffen

  • Upgrade S60 tempomate unit!

    Moin! In the meantime, I found out here in the forum that you can install the cruise control unit for the S60 yourself. Then you would actually only have to pay the costs for the hardware (“Lenkradtasten” for approx. 30-50.-Euro and certainly the software update via the Volvo-VADIS system! Here in the forum was called a price of 250.- Euro! Is that so? Does someone have experiences with above mentioned topic or other useful information? MfG Th.

  • Newer is an XC90 D5 -with VOLVO chip??

    Dear Volvo community! I’ve been looking around the VOLVO forum for the last few days, it’s great and this is supposed to be my first addition. After a V40, V50, I have now ordered an XC90 D5 GT black, which should come in the 18th KW. From my dealer (the friendly one) I was offered an engine chip tuning from the Volvo accessory list (from Volvo??, with factory warranty???) for 750 EUR ilcl. Installation as option. Maybe someone knows if the original Volvo accessory is or what is installed there. Does anyone know the corresponding performance data (PS, Nm, Km/h) and by which method this is done (software, hardware, both)? Thank you for your contributions! Greeting Frank!

  • XC90 KM 23142 Wheel bearing

    Huhu. My bike camp reports at Km 23142 with a heavy throttle. Is that normal after just under 30000 km? Don’t they normally keep a whole car life? Can I count on warranty?
