  • Roof antenna sockets change which adapter?

    Hello, I have had the following problem: I have had a V40 phase 1 with underground radio reception. GEHABT because it is now no longer underground but completely finito. I already looked through and read in the search function all the topics that there is about the roof antenna and the socket (which as is well known gladly gives up the spirit). I start with it that the screwing was so strongly corroded that the counter nut could not be solved. After several ugly turns (sock turned up with) a brittle rubber ring of the roof top and antenna closed off. Since the square upper piece of the antenna by the “hole” of the roof fit after I then carefully ripped off the antenna foot including antenna rod started the problems. Socket removed, how can it be solved… cable…. hhhmmm why are there three cables at the old but at my new antenna only two? when the connection of the old socket already a small “puff” as if a fuse flew out of it was also found for the antenna and why did not have found the fun of it.

    hello, I was in a factory on Saturday with my v70 d5 mj. 06/04 and had oil changes done there. he put 6l in there, but the manual says 5,5l and the volvo works says 5,8l. what is right now and how harmful is it if there are 200ml too much in there? many thanks!!! groove024

  • Program V50 injectors

    Moin, can someone tell me with which tester you can program the injectors at the V50 1.6d? I tried it with a Delphi and an Xtool and both don’t have this function for this car. Did the injectors have to renew and can’t learn it at the moment. I don’t want to go anywhere. I might have a tester who can. Thank you.

  • V40 moves to the right after lane adjustment

    Hello, yesterday I got 4 new summer tires for my V40. Conti SportContact 2 205/50 R16 ZR16. Since the old tires had been driven off very well I had to have the track adjusted. Had to drive a longer distance highway and the tires sounded funny after all. With the tank looked: 2,8 bar inside. I have now lowered to 2,4 (what did you have in it??). Then it was better. However, it is now really that the elk pulls quite to the right. No matter whether highway or country road. And quite exactly from 120 the steering wheel starts to wobble like n mixers. Can someone give me a tip if the vll still lays down until the tires are “trimmed in” or what is going on? Expression of the setting I have here, however, can do nothing with it at all 😛 would be VERY grateful about help. I know that: If I drive to the workshop say that is normal so etc. I then have no arguments because I don’t know better….

  • Is there anything new about the successor XC90 or new Facelift ?

    Hello everybody, I’m looking for a follow-up car for my XC90 (BJ 7.06 now leasing run). It’s been very quiet for a long time now to become a successor model for the XC90. Even a facelift is not heard. The current edition special model is already everything. If you think about it, the car is actually already 8-9 years old, or even older in development. I am convinced that in the chassis area all current ML, X5 or the new Toureg are miles ahead. Therefore, I better not drive one of them to the rehearsal ;-)). My consideration is whether I should lease a car like this again for 4 years. The facelifts always come from July on. If something like this should happen, you could at least wait for this time to “take” at least the acute optics. Someone knows something new about this? (the dealers know nothing about facelift or successor model) Thanks in advance.

  • Volvo XC90 engine damage swapping for engine from s60?

    Hello all, I bought an XC90 at the beginning of the year. Unfortunately I have a motor damage that means that nothing is going on anymore the XC90 is a D5 with 185PS, MDJ2004. Now my question: I have a 2003 Volvo s60 2.4D with about 191Tkm. The S60 is mostly just around and I don’t want to sell it because it is my first Volvo. Can I install the engine from the S60 into the Xc90? These are the same engines?! Or? The s60 has 131Ps and my xc90 currently the 185Ps variant I think I could change that with a chip tuning! But also the 131PS wouldn’t bother me because I’m really only driving long distances and will pull nothing. I hope someone can help me?!   • XC90: Cheap insurance

    Hello together, after my insurance has increased the contributions on 1.1.2013, I asked with other insurances, on which conditions they would insure my Dickelch (HP/VK). As a result I fell from all clouds. Not because other insurances are so cheap, but because my insurance (classic non-direct insurance) is so cheap. I had price differences by up to 100% (!). Maybe I carry owls to Athens, but I never thought that there are such enormous differences with such a standard everyday car as the XC90. Therefore, even if it is some work, let you come to two or three comparison offers. If you then notice that these are more expensive, great, then everything is best, if not, then maybe you can save money there. If you send me a PN, you can also know the name of my insurance. But: Since I am not an insurance broker and I don’t want to know my case as a concrete recommendation, I recommend to take a look independently.

  • How long does a V70 last?

    Haha. So seriously: I’ve already got a lot of quirks behind me and therefore I wonder if I’m keeping the V70 now or not. Is there a list of how many km about what is broken? I know so far only V70 D5 02/2002 key 70 Tkm (1.5 years old) injection nozzle 60 Tkm track bar around 85-95 Tkm (3 years old) steering complete 90 Tkm door lock 70 Tkm tank seal 75 Tkm When are the normal parts like brakes/discs and clutch on it? How long does the gearbox hold? How long does the D5 engine hold? Maybe someone can also say something at the cost. My V70 already got about 6000 Euros of “care” in 2 years and 40000 km. Luckily, “only” good 2000 Euro for me. Ingo

  • Valves over thanks to gas – the horror has come true

    Hello, 6 months ago I had my V50, 1,8l, Bj 2006 equipped with a Prins-VSI system at 50,000km. Of course with Flashlube-because one should spare the valves. I drive a lot but only around 120 to 130 kmh. Now after 25,000km the valves are there and the engine runs restlessly and dies when load changes. the estimate of my friendly moose dealer should arrive at me in the next days. What does this cost? Do you have advice, to proceed? What about the blacklist of Prins, of which I have just read here? Should I just be annoyed about my bleakness, or can I share with anyone (except my wife) in the costs?
