Hello, with my V 50 the steering wheel vibrates like a small vibrator. Have already had new tires raised, but that didn’t help anything. Always have the impression that I’m directly connected to the road and notice every little stone. It’s the case that I steer only down with 2 fingers on longer rides, because I get on my nerves when it’s constantly vibrating. It doesn’t flutter, just vibrate, but visually you don’t do anything.. Does anyone know advice???? My kinder because. Many greetings wool

C70 Organizer spare wheel trough
Hello C70 riders (and of course drivers), my new Cee was delivered unexpectedly with spare wheel for me, which is actually not bad. Honestly, however, I am a bit disturbed that I don’t have a flat boot. Volvo has this organizer in offer: Organizer, Reserve Wheel Mulde C70 with adjustable compartments; for safe storage of small items; creates a flat boot ArtNr: 30633800, Price: 90,00 €. Now the big question: Does anyone of you have experience with this part, is it worth the purchase, is not quite cheap. Or maybe someone has an alternative solution to get a flat boot??? dear greetings, on early summer, Wilfried

Engine stutters when it gets warm
Hello, (V40, BJ 1998 Phase 1, 2L, 140hp). Perhaps one of you can help me further, here my problem with the V40: In case of a cold engine it behaves quite normal. As soon as it gets warm, it starts to stutter on the 2nd and 3rd cylinder at half-perceived gas pedal. The ignition coil for the 2nd and 3rd cylinder, as well as all 4 spark plugs, have already been renewed. The compression has been measured and is at a fantastic 13,xx bar. The injection nozzles have been exchanged: from the 1st to the 2nd cylinder and from the 4th to the 3rd cylinder. The symptom remains the same. If you stay on the gas pedal, blue smoke comes out of the exhaust. Therefore, the compression has been measured to definitely exclude the cylinder head seal. The lamp for engine malfunction does not glow. Does anyone know of you such symptoms or can give a hint where to continue looking? Well-known mechanics are at the end with the Latin (but no Volvo special knowledge). Is there are diseases with this model? Where do you really want to look at me?

My T4 rings… what’s going on?
Hello municipality, for a long time let nothing hear from me….bin since December in or on Fuerteventura, at the end of November 3000 km from Cologne to Portimao (Portugal) with full car, roof rack, 2 wheels, roof box and full or rather overcrowded trailer…. Since then again about 16tkm have passed and my good sound doesn’t sound so good anymore….I have a video set on Youtube, maybe one of you recognizes the problem…. I have to notice, I have no real power losses, only sometimes the speed in idle run goes down to about 200 and then he recovers quickly…sometimes with slow rides he also seems to jerk short, I have about 1l oil on 5000 km consumption, dry engine, no drop oil or similar…cooling fluid also does not decrease…here the video Thank you in advance

Ciao V50
Hello together, after 4 years I wanted to say goodbye to the V50 forum. The leasing is over and my new family van ( Mazda 5 ) is at the door.

Cracking in the cockpit or dashboard on the right
If there’s a problem with the car, it’s 30 weeks since I’m not moving the car, it’s suddenly a disturbing noise in the form of a cracking. I find the noise somewhere in the area of the dashboard / windshield / A-pillar / ventilation nozzle on the right side. It’s a clearly audible cracking, similar to a large raindrop or hail grain, which drips onto a disc. The noise only arises at temperatures below half of 10 degrees as the interior room heats up. A few minutes after the start it goes off and listens about 20-30 minutes. The cracking repeats every 10-60 seconds. Also by stronger braking I can provoke the noise. If I leave the garage (always about 10 degrees warm) in the afternoon, I don’t hear the cracking. I guess that the noise is always caused by the expansion of the material during the interior heating. Unfortunately I can’t exactly assign the noise to it. I’ve already found it hard to fix it in the workshop.

Facelift V90
Hello Volvo community, I am currently driving a BMW 5 Series Touring Diesel. Thanks to the Mini Countryman Hybrid I have come to the taste of electric driving. I don’t really want an SUV, like the XC90 or the X5. A premium combination “enrichs” me, however, with electric drive and at least 35km range. Unfortunately, the market is quite thin, as far as the large plug-in hybrid is concerned. The V90 has already come on the market in 2016. In 2020 a facelift could be available, which might then bring a larger battery/reach range with it.

Volvo V 50 again Reperatur
Hello, I have to get rid of my frustration, sorry. A few years ago we were proud owners of a Volvo GL 740, BJ 1989, bought with 90,000 km. At 300,000 km he ran quite well, but we wanted a new Volvo. So we bought 4 years ago a V 50, 1.8 L BJ 2005 with 16,000 km. After about 70,000 km the throttle valve was broken, immediately after that the alternator was broken, after everything was still under guarantee, we only had to pay the working time (don’t understand why you have to pay the AZ, if the car still ran under guarantee) Now, at 120,000 km the intake manifold seems to be broken, more precisely you can say that only after the disassembly. The good man said, so about 440 Euro without working time you have to expect, if it is this part, assume that we are so with about 700 Euro. I would not be surprised if after that something would break again, this car seems to be a black sheep. The disappointment is great, the next car will certainly be LG, beat Volvo.

Retrofit from sports suspension to original
Hello, my Chantalle one of the previous owners has missed a sports suspension (KAW; front 7.25; back 8 cm lower. The thing is stuck on the asphalt, but I have a bang with abrasions on my butt. Would like to make Chantalle a cozy travel machine again and still have the suspension of Bolero there. Can it be repaired easily or there is something special to consider. Would you like to do this as soon as the temperatures are above 0. Can I take the coupling rods from the Bolero (are only 10,000 km old)? Does anything else have to be changed?
