Hello, I noticed in my car that the long rear lights are shaking, one much the other gradually more.. seems to have fallen off some fixing screw. Volvo on Call Service Error Hardware or Software?!
Hello, I have been receiving a message for some time, Volvo on Call Service or similar. I assume that they are small additional battery or a battery, looks like a 9v block, is empty or defective and needs to be replaced. Does anyone know where these one or two batteries are hidden in the xc90?! Or is it a software problem after all?!

Stabibuchsen: it’s time 🙁
Now after 300 K km it’s time, the Stabi bushings (rubber bearings on the auxiliary frame) have been knocked out. Stabilizer can be moved, and there are bumps… Have VIDA the instructions to change the whole stabilizer and that looks very cumbersome. Has anyone ever managed to replace the rubber bushings without lowering the engine steering gear carrier and reported how he did it? Or has someone had it done recently and can therefore call it an approximate price for this repair?http://www.skandix.de/…/

Unexpected engine can no longer be started
Hello, I am driving a used VOLVO XC90 2 D5 AWD R-Design EZ04/2016, which a) does not start automatically at Stop and go; b) can no longer be started. In the VOLVO contract workshop meanwhile – the start switch and – the start battery were changed. After several days of charging with a CTEK 5A and 1-hour drive, it is a lucky game whether the engine can start again. Where do I start with the troubleshooting?

Crossover of the G4-Variant is looking for new combo – V50?
Hello also, since my G4 is slowly coming into the years, I am looking for a successor combi. Since I don’t like the spoilt Golf 5/6mix – Variant and probably there are often quality problems (comes from Mexico) I will probably switch to another brand. The V50-EU new cars are already so in the range of a golf, so I could also like a Volvo. That’s my key data: price limit for cash payment 22T€, about that probably financing. Kilometer power approx. 15TKm/year, day distance 2x 13km – probably only one petroler comes into question. I think so about the 2.0/107KW. My wish list at the Golf was quite short: Highline package – 1.4TSI/90KW, 6-Gang, Metallic, ALUs, Radio (RCD310) with 8 loudspeaker Climatronic, (as reimport approx. 20T€) How does it look like now at Volvo with the quality? First Ford and now the Chinets – that is still the good old Swedenstahl? Are all Volvos still available in order? How do you have a discount in Sweden?

Motor is only slowly warm after changing the thermostat
Hello! Volvo V40, 1.8 85KW, year 98 With my V40 I noticed with the falling temperatures that the coolant temperature indicator fluctuates. The engine became (feeled) warm in normal time, however, the temperature pointer fluctuated downhill during longer rides and finally also in flat terrain with moderate load of the engine. This pointed for me to an age-weak thermostat. So it was changed fixed and immediately the cooling liquid renewed. The ventilated was as follows: Fill up coolant, heat up fully, let the engine warm up, with lack of coolant pouring down, drive a few kilometers and let the engine run until the switch on the cooler fan. Motor out, let cool down and refill again. Since then the coolant level has not changed any more. Since then the engine is only slowly warm. On the road I get it on about 1/4 of the scale, in the town of the manufacturer in traffic jam the display rises then to 1/2. On the Auotbahn it also rises to 1/2. In this position it remains then too. The thermostat can vary slowly?

At what mileage / how many kilometers do typical repairs V50 come?
Hello, the question is to know how this looks like on average when certain repairs occur. It is clear that something like this always depends on the driving style and maintenance, but I think a certain tendency can be seen. Is perhaps also interesting for potential used car purchases … So e.g.: Cross handlebar for X KM shock absorber for X KM axle cuff for X KM exhaust for X KM clutch for X KM etc. etc. Gruss E

Consumption by on-board computer
Tach together, does someone know, according to what criteria the on-board computer calculates the average consumption? I always thought, who calculates over the driven distance since the last reset, right? I notice however, that he mostly calculates too much with me. Example: Dangers km since last tank/reset: 548. fueled, to upper edge tank sockets: 49.8 liters. Average consumption according to BC: 10,4 liters/100km, average consumption according to my calculation: 9,1 liters!!! I know that the 2.4 liters five cylinders are as drunker, but I thought the difference between BC and “manual” is quite significant. Irgendjemand, who has observed the same phenomenon in himself?
