Something is wrong with the forum – gives timeout and creates only the subject… Hello, my V70 D5 has started vibrating since 03.03.03 and now I have a good 23000 km on it. What annoyed me all the time is the right mirror which starts to vibrate from 160 km/h or on bumpy roads accordingly earlier. at the last inspection I had it done – at least I thought. Unfortunately it was worse afterwards than before. On my call to the workshop the master told me that the mirror is movable in a bracket that was manufactured with too great tolerance. Volvo gave the instruction to all vehicles this problem occurs and the customers should complain about a foam rubber under the mirror to solve the problem. No nice way to solve a problem. Volvo is it simply too expensive to replace all the mirror engines (must be such a unit) and then cause them to be such a mess! What have you done for experience in this regard and gave it any help with you? Was the unit already completely changed – if you need to answer that?

Turn off DSTC/STC completely ?
in the last edition of the car magazine “mot” (heft 17+18, July 30, 2003) the S60R is tested and here you can read the following paragraph: “If it has to be or may be, the Swede is supposed to be able to sprint in only 5.7 seconds to speed 100. However, the tester needs much longer to completely switch off the ESP including traction control. Only with a certain key combination in the right range this is possible – here the Swedes have gone a step too far with their strong security awareness.” -> can the DSTC/STC be turned off now after all? supposedly only the STC can be deactivated. who has more infos, who knows this key combination ? here has been discussed before. gruesome ROman … who will never switch off his DSTC/STC 😉 PS: the test report does not speak for the S60R – 4C drive unit only brings little advantages; for forced driving the S60R is too difficult – no usable chassis setting for the long range (either too soft or too hard-circular)

Volvo- REIMPORT: Your experiences
Hello all! The thread is directed above all to all those who currently own an import or reimport Volvos (hereinafter referred to as reimports only). So vehicles that have been bought and imported from you or a free importer abroad. It would be nice if we could build up a knowledge database and exchange experiences. Perhaps this helps one or the other in deciding whether a reimport is possible at all. What experiences have you made with your reimport? In particular, the following topics might be of interest: 1. What kind of reimport Volvo (model & model year) have you imported? 2. Did you import yourself or have it made by a dealer? 3. Did your Volvo agree to your ideas or order? 4. Did a Volvo contract workshop for maintenance or repair work ever reject you or treat you worse because of the reimport? 5. Traten problems with the vehicle that could not be resolved to your satisfaction during the warranty period and by the chosen contract workshop? 6. Did you have any other problems that were directly related to the reimport? 8. Would you reimport your Revo again?

Turn off service reminder
Hello municipality, since I have now decided not to have my Volvo’s annual inspections carried out by the official workshop, I would like to put the service reminder on the display on “0” so that it no longer appears at the start of the journey. On this topic there are lots of “YouTube” videos and instructions on the net but so far none of them worked for me.My Volvo=V70 Mj. 2012 Ocean Race, 2.0 Diesel, 163 PSMaybe someone can post me a understandable guide here!?!Thank you!!! Greeting Larry p.s. among other things, the estimate for the inspection that is now due to make the decision easy. (560,- € without ZR). Well that you have friends who make the whole for a good bottle of whiskey.

Windscreen wiper flaps after disc replacement
Moin together. My problem is already to be read in the headline… Since the windshield was changed, the left wiper claps directly at the turning point when it is at the top and is pulled down again. I have this complaint with Volvo and allegedly a cover was loose. It was then also a week quiet. Now the noise starts again. I called Volvo again and they want to look at it again. But now it is supposed to be the wiper rod… I had no problems before. Is a 9 year young V60. There is no fault of the shaft… I looked at it myself yesterday and could not find any disguise that could possibly make these noises. There is only the wind barrel under which the battery and the rod etc. But that’s fixed… Did they still get away and look under it. Also here nix. If the wipers are active, the stick is completely free. It doesn’t touch anything that can clap. It doesn’t matter. If I’m stuck with it all, it’s hard to see the sound. Only the sound file has a little bit of it.

V70 2.4D second timing belt change – on suspicion also climate compressor?
Hi people, my beloved 2.4D (Bj 2009, Mj 2010 with 175 HP) has now reached almost 250k km. Except for a crack in the charging air hose at 223k km only wear parts have become due. During the last maintenance (free workshop, owner family is friends for 2 generations with our family – I have full confidence) oil was found in the cover of the belt drive, a slightly leaky Simmering right drive shaft and light transmission oil loss (manual transmission) . The first timing belt change was at about 150k km. Next ZR would not be due yet, I know, but on the occasion I would like to take this already. I consider to extend the package tooth belt + water pump to the climate compressor (KK), since occasionally a clinging of the same has led to engine damage. KK is still original, does not cause any problems. Meaningful or money waste? Greetings, Frank

Volvo S60 2.4 Bj 2005
Hello people I would have a question and that is how steadfast are the 2.4 engines with 140hp because the good one I would like to look at has run almost 150000km and a good execution (part leather Xenon cruiser and CD changer) it should cost 5000 Eur. Can you buy an S60 with such a mileage calmed and what flaws have these models.

Volvo 940 doesn’t start anymore
What did you expect from the Forum, here’s our problem: Volvo 940 with B230FB engine Launched and always ran perfectly, no jerking or any signs of a malfunction 4 weeks ago, the engine went off after 15 seconds and can’t be started again Investigation of the TCS (Swiss ADAC) came to the conclusion, it must be either the ignition module or at most the crankshaft sensor defective Both components we replaced one after the other, no success. New ignition coil, the same image. Candle from the distributor directly to mass: candle of ignition coil directly to mass: It arises when starting (key position 3) a single (weak) ignition spark and then no more?? On key position 2 (operation) the candle constantly sparks. Voltage at the ignition coil on key position 2: 12.7V Voltage at the ignition coil on key position 3: 10.5V ignition cables are measured, OK. Candles OK, electrode distance is running 000. Fuel pump is running. This situation was right before we replaced with a crankshaft sensor and ignition coil the car did not want to be perfect?

Volvo 740 Turns only up to 1500u/min
Hello together, I brought my 740 with B230ft bj. 1990 (approx. 175 000 km) a few weeks ago the engine completely disassembled connecting rod new piston new crankshaft to grind (with the pistons I have chosen a lower thickening because I might want to increase the power even a little bit) Turbocharger also got a new fuselage group running smoothly. Now to my problem It starts with a fairly low speed (approx.500 u/min) goes off and off Also when I give gas it turns very sluggishly high to a maximum of 1000-1500 u/min After about 1 min at 1500 u/min the curved and the turbo starts to glow. My first approach was that it runs too lean and therefore burns too hot but the Blinkbox also doesn’t spit a fault from Lamda indicator lights up but also does not apply to fuel at the injection nozzles also with good pressure. If someone still has one on what it might be or what I could still check ? Thanks in advance

Volvo Amazon Trunk Cover
Good evening The trunk at my Amazon can no longer be opened. I closed the trunk cover completely normal and also not closed. There must be a possibility or a trick to open it again without using violence. I can not imagine that I am the only one with this problem or was. Already now many thanks Greeting Albert
