huhu, so I used to ride on the highway with approx. 160… and once a Dutchman 7ner BMW appears behind me, hm… I thought I could forget, but then I gave it gas and actually I didn’t want to believe it but we were both immediately up and nobody was faster, of course I didn’t endanger anyone, autobahn was as good as empty;-) MI really would have liked to see what he had for a 7ner BMW, there was nothing in the back of it… but I saw how he quenched himself;-) but anyway both of us were at 240 close… look at what my little elch did on the straight track:

Meal! I’ve been thinking about whether this makes sense, has someone ever had it done for a V40? I’ve got an offer from a saddle shop over 1900,-€ Included are foresides, rear bench, middle armrest and door panel! Of course is extremely expensive, but also somehow understandable. I would be interested if someone from you has ever done something like that, how then the satisfaction was and of course what it cost!

CDi after tuning
Servus mitnand, well as the title already says, I helped my diesel a bit on the spruenge. So original I had found the 1.9 CDi with 85kW and 265Nm. It didn’t go bad, but it could have been more. And look, after a long, long research in the inet, I finally found a box (because I didn’t want to change the field of knowledge, also known as “chip tuning” which does NOT work over the rise of the rail pressure (because this is extremely at the expense of the valves), but only intervenes in the injection duration. Say, it is now more early and longer injected. This gives me 102kW (~140hp) and 320Nm. And I can tell you, the result is gigantic. One has got the feeling of having another engine in it. From below he is now pushing forward with a brutal force, that it is only such a joy to give up the gas *rahness important, but it’s got me so much.

Front fog lamps
Hello, I’ve had a Volvo V40 year 98 for a little more than a month. I really like it, except for a few small defects. But a lack is a bit more annoying. There are no fog lights. Since I have to drive a track on my way to work in the morning, which has quite often strong fog, it would be very useful to have the headlights. Now I was with the local Volvo dealer a few days ago and asked for it. Well, the price with installation speaks a clear language – about 350 €. The Volvo is quite expensive to me, only 350 € clearly blows the frame. That’s too much for me for 2 lamps. On eBay I find 2 for reckoned ~80 €. } Where you put the headlights is already known to me. Below the normal headlights there is a cut in the front bumper. This cutout is used if I correctly interpret just for the fog lights. I just don’t know how to get to the necessary power. If someone has any experience with the installation, if there is a tip that could help me here. This cut out with car technology, I don’t care for Markus.

Oil pressure too high – Filter burst
Hello, I have a hearty problem there. With my V40 last Thursday the oil filter has burst. I got a new one and just Friday morning, so one day later it’s also a fug. my sled now stands for the friendly examination. since I find out that the oil pump builds up too much pressure (over 5 bar) and the master tells me that I need a new one. So now I have a new oil pump but that also has 3.8 where you can only have about 2.8. the engine has been cleaned and the problem keeps itself stubborn. now I have learned that the young have to take apart from the friendly engine to solve the problem, because it can just as well be the whole engine over. until now it is only 800 fleas that I should pay. if they build the engine apart and then it is ok, then 2000 fleas, but if the engine is there I need a new one that is not quite so cheap. Who can help with something know or similar to the experience?

[V40] Paint door handles ??
Moin people, would like to have my door handles and bowls painted in car color, the art-off looks really no longer great over time, especially when you have come up with polish! With plastic care products it always looks nice again, but in car paint I find somehow more chic! Has anyone from you already been able to gain experience? How elaborate is the removal of the handles + bowls?

Brake energy recovery ???
Hello from the Emsland, my newly ordered XC 60 has supposedly a facility for “brake energy recovery” as standard. Since I am technically experienced myself, I think it’s a system that gains electrical energy like a retarder and then where???? stores? in the battery? how can it absorb energy so quickly? With some vehicles such energy can be stored in a kind of capacitor and is then available to an electric motor to support the drive. But can not really imagine that the elk has something like that. So the technicians at the front, would be happy if someone could tell me something concrete about it. The friendly person has even shrugged his shoulders on my question….
