  • Purchase advice V70 2.5T Automatic

    Hello, at our Volvo dealer stands a V70 2.5T automatic with just under 160tkm. Lack of SH is the car with 299tkm insert and can only be bought vn dealers or traders (I am). According to the pictures the V70 is very well maintained and the seats show no wear – the mileage could be correct. Now my questions: What about the reliability of the engine (especially turbo)? Do you have to calculate already with a new turbo or are the durable ones? How can the automatic be evaluated? As reliable and durable as with MB? Greeting Frank

    Hello Together, I know – there are already teny threads on the topic of purchase advice XC90… I would like to ask my question here again to you… It’s about: XC90 D5 Momentum 7-Sitzer, 185PS, Automatik, EZ 08/2008, ~199,000km I would like to buy an XC90 like the one described above. Now I ask myself: are the 199,000km for the D5 now in the area where it is technically critical or are the “big” repeats already through with the kilometers…? Has anyone already been able to gain experience here…? Is it perhaps more sensible to buy such a D5 with as few kilometers as possible or can you just buy it with just under 200,000km calmly – without having to take the big bills in the hand again…? I of course do not want to have a sworn explanation…but your experiences / your gut feeling… And about factors such as consumption, turning circle and repair costs I’m aware… Thank you already for your time and your answers…!

  • After gearbox installation, the engine no longer starts

    Hello My V70 T5 P26 got an outdated new gearbox 14 days ago. After the installation probably the clutch pedal sensor was defective and the car only jumped briefly. The error reading resulted in the error with the sensor. It was replaced by the workshop, but the car still didn’t start. A new error reading resulted in a capped drive shaft sensor. It was also replaced and the car still doesn’t start. The workshop doesn’t know any more, the car was even at another workshop last week (allegedly a professional) and they don’t know any more. Another error reading did not result in any errors. And in today’s conversation I was told that they are now expanding the gearbox again because they suspect that the gear of the flywheel is bent and therefore it doesn’t start. On the other hand, they also said that it probably concerns, but not correctly (asks me not what that should mean) and it would listen as if the piston goes up and down, but at the next high then no spark produced. Long speech short sense, someone from the LG has asked me to save a funny thing, if the piston is still a bit of fun.

  • V70 and the tired engine control lamp

    Hello to the round! I have been the owner of a Volvo V70 II petrol engine for 3 months (170 hp, year 1/2005). In the last two months I have had to spend quite a lot of time in the workshop (free, Volvo specialized workshop in Hanover) … The reason is the yellow engine control lamp. After the lamp has been lit up for the first time (which is also connected always a noticeable power decrease of the engine), I am directly to the above-mentioned workshop and have the fault memory read out. Diagnosis: camshaft adjustment valve I make it short, since then it has been renewed: – Nockshaft adjustment valve – two oil sludge flushes with oil change (in situ and the 200km variant) – camshaft adjustment wheel (inlet camshaft) – timing disc – air pressure sensor height adjustment – tension roller tooth belts – ignition plugs As soon as a part has been renewed, is short time later the lamp again (in some cases even immediately after leaving the workshop) – by now I am really cloudy and don’t really know. Now the workshop tells me that they can’t really do anything else to do something about it.

  • Autoradio HU-803/Volvo V70 D5

    Servus Elchfreunde, my sound system doesn’t really give you what you want. The HU-803 I have a lot of bad reception, but I don’t know if the antenna is integrated into the rear side pane, works or does anything good at all. The rearmost boxes (case room) have 0 sound quality and crashing ahead Can the boxes slow down after age? Which ones do I have to install or are there alternatives that fit in instead of the old/original ones? What can I have such a bad reception or how can I fix such a thing? To think about a Bluetooth system, which is supposedly controlled via the CD changer connection. But I’m lay open for experiments, rather acting according to house knowledge and grateful for every tip/recommendation. LG a Tyrolean elk

    Hello, someone here around Mainz knows who can read OBD II. I was in Wiesbaden today, they wanted 25 to 30 Euronen and still said that the diesel pump should be set.   • Ask for an assessment of the oil consumption!

    Hello, as an elk newcomer (850er Kombi, 144 HP, manual transmission, 200 TKM, BJ. 95) I have a question. The previous owner said he consumes oil – but moderate. However, he squirts pretty much at the start – I had overlooked that when buying. Now we were on holiday with the elk (via detours from Berlin to Croatia and back – two times crossing the Alps). The first 600 KM, almost 1 liter of oil consumption (10W40 after oil change). The further 1000 KM, only 0.5 liters of oil (however I had 1 liter 15W40 refilled). Then the last 1200 KM only 0.2 liters of oil consumption. Do I have to worry now, or did the elk have to gallop at a good distance? The fuel consumption was at full load (camping holiday) at 8.5 liters Super on the first 1000 KM and at less than 8 liters on the rest. Greeting from Berlin!

  • C70 – Dynaudio Premium Sound

    Hello well, I’ve been calling you a Volvo C70 II (EZ 12/2006) Summum with Premium Soundsystem. I’m very happy with it, but I’ve been thinking about the configuration of the Dynaudio Soundsystem. I had changed the vehicle extra from a C70 with Performance Sound (in which I had built the Grom Audio Adapter) because I was just dissatisfied with the sound output and an upgrade according to Volvo was not possible. The Premium Soundsystem sounds actually a bit better now, but the difference I had hoped for due to the extra charge according to the price list and the technical data (12 Dynaudio speakers, much more performance etc.) is so not present in my vehicle. Before picking up the vehicle, however, it just sounded a software update of all the control devices at Volvo. Can it be that there were almost half of the configuration data in the soundsystem (just a bit of a new source).

Maintenance was made within the company Vorwerk. The seller would give us a year warranty. What do you mean?
