    Hello Together, I’m about to switch to the *individualist camp* and buy me a used Volvo V50. It’s my first Volvo and I’m just about to read into the topic. Unfortunately, you can’t find a lot in the Inet (compare to VW, Audi…).The V50 has the following basic data, and I just wanted to hear your opinion: V50 T5, black 220ps BJ. 08 2004 126tkm leather, Navi, Xenon, Alus, Prologic Audio,… a lot of Schnick-Schnack. Price: 13,500 (after negotiations, wanted 14.800). The car is of course check booklet and was prepared for sale for 800€. (I can see it in front of it though). He certainly consumes relatively much as I hardly drive a highway and 50:50 country road/city (has someone data how economical to drive it?) and a reason car is certainly not that. My plan is so 2-3 years, that is with me 40 and 50tkm to drive it and then I know how to buy it again.

    Hello guys. Spring is already there,and I absolutely have to buy rims,so I can put summer tires on it. It should be already 18 inches (18x 8 )-better Proline PI -,but always stands in the report to bulge in front and back,or to extend wheelhouse interior wings etc. Unfortunately, don’t know me about it.Did I look at 17 inches,but I like them,there is also the one to bulge and to adapt artificial parts.Do you know about it????What costs to have bulging???First of all, who does something like that??? Or does anyone else come around there? Thanks and greetings…..

    Hello everyone, I would like to buy a used S40, a maximum of 5 years old, max. 90,000 km, max. 15 k€. Since I have not yet had a Volvo, I need a little support from you. What should I pay special attention to when buying and testing? Where are the weak points? Whether diesel or petrol, I have not yet agreed on that. I will probably drive about 30,000 km a year, at power I will be completely satisfied, so probably a 1.8 petrol or the 2.0 diesel. Can anyone say anything about the taxes, insurance and consumption of the two engines? Navigation wouldn’t be bad, just… is the Navi in the S40 recommended at all?   • How to make a C30 even more individual?

    How do you make a car that can hardly be more individual, even more individual? Quite simply, you do what others don’t plan and possibly can’t. I have allowed myself to “completely” remodel my radiator grille and not let me ban my “artistic freedom” because my vehicle is Cosmic White Metallic + Java Brown Metallic, it’s hard to find suitable colors… Say: black is always good, but only black is also stupid. Chrome is present on the vehicle, but only in the form of a few letters and numbers at the rear… Thus, the whole chrome in the grill is “missed”. What to do? Get rid of the chrome! How to do it? Repaint! Well, see picture, I have mounted in the radiator grill 2 additional headlights (not yet connected since there are problems with the connection), this nicely molded… (at least above and below) and the entire chrome painted in Java Braun. The result is better than what I had before… (Silber instead of chrome). I can say: I’m satisfied and enthusiastic At the same time you can see it well (hope)!

  • Which cleaning agent do you use for….

    …the plastic parts in the interior of your elk? …. to clean the upholstery? Hello, does the ambitious elk driver only apply to Volvo products when it comes to cleaning and care, or can you confidently use other products? What does the experienced plasters recommend? For example, in my manual it says that you should clean the upholstery with a special Volvo product, because otherwise they could lose your anti-fire properties?!? Have a coffee stain on the driver’s seat (Textil Tech)….first attempts with a gentle persillauge and rags brought remedy, but still a little suboptimal.   • Engine jigs at approx. 1600 – 2000 revolutions

    Hello municipality, drive now for about 2 months also a Volvo V50, BJ 2005 2.0D, it has 160,000 km. Now unfortunately I have the problem, which is probably largely known. At approx. 1600 – 2000 revolutions with very light gas giving the engine ruckelt strongly. What also comes with me is that when accelerating, also around 2000 revolutions, very strong black smoke comes out of the exhaust. However, the performance is still very good. The topics I have read here in the forum are from 2006 with moderate success after a visit to the friendly one. I read again and again something of software update, EGR valves. Are there in the meantime new findings, respectively better software updates? Thank you for your support.

  • Consumption of my XC60 D5 (times to the documentary)

    Hello, to take it in advance, I don’t want to stamp the XC60 per se to the bad car, rather, thanks to MT and fuel monitor, I am absolutely sure that not only with the GT (see other Fred) but also with my XC60 is something not as it should be. Therefore, I ask you to refrain from any comments like “digital driving style” or “frequently contact with the floor plate” etc.. I care for a quick, but not racing driving style – even with the GT the manual lane to use the engine brake effectively and predictively. If there is any last argument for a careful driving style in this example driving, so be advised on Daisy! But now on the actual topic: I wanted to prove the reason of my current displeasure with photos once I have taken photos. Figured out is a ride, as it is done to 95% with my cars. After the minute full tanking I drive in Berlin-Mitte towards home (East Sea Coast) and now I’m almost at constant speed.

    V70 III D5 205PS Automatic BJ2010 120tkm Hello my loved ones! I have a number of questions to the v70 experts among you: Do you think a polestar tuning for my vehicle makes sense? I love it especially in the hope of better switching sequences and the S mode. I drive in itself relaxed and economical, but that excludes the wish as I find with nieces; I also let it crash from time to time… Can you expect a better switching behavior? Is the power plus sharp and measurable (significant)? Should I let the transmission flush better or reach a reasonable result with two conventional gear changes at a short distance? The latter may come significantly cheaper… Is the timing belt due after just under 10 years or only at 140tkm and how critical is a delay? Does it like to break my speed or have a good time to ride idR? Is the engine possibly even a free runner [rather, or] is the one that can’t be clean with the Dcho-data?

    After 43 years without points, I was caught on Saturday. Everything has come to an end… I stood at the red traffic light of a deserted junction, engine was off (start-stop automatic), brake was kicked, then the mobile phone was taken into the hand, switched off, and put away again. Duration of the process about 3 sec. The traffic light was then still for a good 15 sec. red, the engine was kicked out, the brake. Behind a wall in the blind corner to the right of me a patrol car had hidden. I then had it shortly afterwards with red glowing “stop” invitation behind me. Two young officials, discussion futile. 100 euros, one point. Perhaps the revenues in 2019 in this district are not yet correct. In any case, I feel the punishment at this height as disproportionate, even if the legislator so determined it after the last legislative amendment.
