GT Sound
Hello, since the temperatures have fallen below 0°C, my GT is complaining (probably). Hang on 2 sound files, on which you experience my current soundscape: Both have been recorded this morning after about 10 min drive in Berlin city traffic, the accelerator pedal is not moved in centimeters, the car accelerates moderately from 0 to about 55km/h. In GT1.mp3 you hear at 0:15 (speed is kept) the howling, then I walk completely off the gas. In GT2.mp3 similar. The sounds are a bit subdued, the iPhone was in the “navibox”, to hear it well, you have to make it louder if necessary, sorry. Where’s the XC60 border area?
In order to explore it, I use every bad weather to drive on our mountain (700m) and today were ideal conditions – snow rain and previously for days 4 degrees minus, road muddy and the spread split at the very bottom, icy in places! But what should I say, it was again absolutely nothing! No spinning tires – not even in the beginning, also no DSTC – light up and no breaking of the rear or pushing over the front axle and that with relatively brisk ride uphill on the curvy track. To all over courage still up and down the mountain meadow – where the children were previously on the road with the toboggan. Probably I am too scared, or too much road cowboy to try more extremes! Has anyone tried this already? Where are the limits? Are there any reports?

DSG “Powershift” soon available for the 2.0D

Replacements S40/S60 and V50
Dear Volvo fans, I have just found the following hints on the Swedish Auto-Motor-Sport pages: http://www.automotorsport.se/nyhetsmall.asp?version=76785 As it looks like, the successor of the S60 will be on the market about 2009/2010. The combined version will be the V50 and thus follow the same logic as that of the S80/V70. A model “S40” will probably not exist any more. The pictures of the S60 look very promising and follow the design elements of the current XC60. The picture of the V50 looks even more like computer mounting. I’m curious if I can exchange my V50 for the S60 combi (V50) in two years’ time… If you have any further hints, these would be exciting.

Volvo S60 steering wheel jerks from 100 kmh after changing wheels
Hello together, I ordered for my Volvo s60 Bj 2003 new rims 235 45 R17 with Pirelli tires at ATU and had them installed. Are you on it the steering wheel from approx. 100 KMH but not always sometimes when accelerating and braking is not to be felt. Did ea complain they have rebalanced and looked at everything. Was the first few hours everything okay until it jerked again. Am really despairing can help me there? Had 205 55 R16 with contis before thank you in advance Gruss niko
