I have to let off a little bit of steam! I just brought my V50 to my Volvo dealer and accepted my “replacement car” there! To the previous story: I called more than 2 weeks ago and asked for this appointment! Then I was asked if I needed a replacement car! I said yes and still decided that I would NOT want to have an automatic, because I am not used to this and would like to get out of the way of any problems! Today I am then to the dealer, gave the car and the mechanic says to me that he only had an older Volvo there! I didn’t think anything – go with the mechanic to the car and see a really old Volvo (don’t know which is that) stand there with AUTOMATIC! He handed me the key and says that that would be the car and he had no other standing there! Since my girlfriend was there, I didn’t say anything (after that a very big mistake from me) and I got in, I once listened to a short introduction from my friend in matters of automatic and then he drove away! The car was not always there and he told me to be absolutely beside it!

Which one of you drives a FlexiFuel?
Hello people What has taken me for a long time wonder; who of you drives a Volvo with FlexiFuel operation in it? So E85/Benzin. Do you always drive only E85? How is it with people from Switzerland? (Since net is not yet intoxicating). I myself wait for the 2.5T F to finally become official, or its prices known. (Will a C70 2.5T F) Greet Howard P.S.: For those who don’t know yet, the C70 gibbets from 2009 (MJ.2010) as FF. I know from the dealer from Gümligen.

V50 entry rails rear
It’s hard to believe, but there are apparently no four-door car entry rails as protection against shipped child’s feet. Neither for V50 V70 XC 90. There’s such an advertising carrier bar from Heico, for which one would have to start the front one, so that it looks reasonably fitting. And then there’s Heico on it, on all doors, and everyone asks – you’re called…blabla… why is there Heico on it, did you have an affair with a guy who doesn’t know about it? So I kindly let the VOLVO men hand over two front entry rails at their expense and saw them in front of the Volvo Schrifztug with a fine iron saw, cleanly smoothed and unburdened and with the result it can live very well. Since the threshold areas are shorter, the front threshold connection looks different from the front, looking backwards like the front entry rails, one doesn’t have the impression, here someone has something to blame.

Questions about the new purchase XC70
Hello, after I’ve been angry long enough with my Frenchman I want to buy the XC 70 now. I’m still thinking about the following points: Type of leather seats and motorization I would like to choose the perforated seats in chestnut brown, but recently I heard from an acquaintance that the perforation with dust and leather care products can increase and the ventilation performance decreases. Is that true? How is the durability of these seats? I drive my cars if they do not cause any problems, actually 8-10 years and for so long the seats should have a good condition. Since I will often travel with my big dogs in the trunk, the luggage should be accommodated on the rear seats. Does the leather suffer? I had so far only fabric seats, which made this unscathed with the engine. During the motorization I still swan between T5 with 245 Ps or D4 with 181 Ps; each as automatic. The costs for the steering and fuel I leave on the outside when I think about which engine fits better to the car?

V70III D5, MY 08 -> Rust!?
Hello, my elk now found 2 rust spots on the body after the “winter”, which make me agree: 2 each about 50 cent-sized bubble groups, 1 x on the right rear door sill, 1 x on the right rear edge of the wheel box. The paint surface is naturally undamaged at the said places, i.e. the rust definitely comes from “below”. I’m not used to rust from Volvo (my first model was a 745 GLT 16V). My question is: Who has similar problems with rust at the CAROSSERIE(!) ? Please no comments on rust at various other places (strike under the dashboard, screws in the engine compartment, hinges etc.) – it is exclusively about rusting on painted surfaces of the body! For statements or conjectures I would be grateful! Gruss Axel

My first Volvo (XC60) ordered

After a long time of thinking, many hours of research, pondering and after three test drives it happened today. I ordered my first Volvo from my dealer. It’s going to be an XC60. I’m still euphorized and the feeling will not fade away so quickly. Internal modem – no internet
Hello together Have a XC90 T8 since Friday (no fear, introduction follows) Now I have installed a SIM in the internal modem. Unfortunately, the Volvo always reports that there is no Internet available… (Spotify, Download Center, …) If it is important: Data subscription is Volvo On Line from Swisscom Does anyone still have an idea what it might be about? Rtti and internet connection
I haven’t had an internet connection for some time now, nor does the Rtti function work anymore. I checked all settings and found no error. If I remove the sim card, the message does not come “sim card”. Today I was at the dealer who started a new update. But had not succeeded either. Does anyone else have an idea? Or found the same problem and a solution.

Card update, what am I doing wrong?
Hello, there’s a card update for my V60. I downloaded the whole thing at home and pulled it onto a USB stick (ExFat). Supposedly this works with the update automatically when I start the Navi but… not with me :-)( I also find no option for manual installation. What am I doing wrong? Greeting and thank Tommy
