  • Switch to a V60 T6 plugin hybrid with questions

Hello Volvo Forum! I’m about to switch from my Audi A6 to a Volvo V60 Plugin Hybrid T6. The 180 km/h limitation was the biggest problem for me at first, but think that the fun of the e-drive makes up for the limit again There are 2 annual cars to choose from, but also a relatively new model from this year. What deters me now are possible patronages of the V60. I.e. a speed limit is recognized, then the car automatically throttles down to this speed. Can this be or is there only one warning in such cases? What I have read is: There is an optical warning and in current models still an acoustic warning, which can be deactivated however. Ok? I’ve already driven the V60 test, but there are always new questions on the case of someone tips/comments for/against a change to the V60 has: I’m open for all thanks!

  • Replacement wheel instead of pump and glue

Hello, I would like to put a spare wheel in my car instead of pump and glue. But I don’t want a mini spare wheel. Here are some photos. Can you put a normal wheel in? Is this so easy or do I have to buy another styrofoam so I can set it up? Thank you.

  • Paint roof box

Hello, I didn’t know in which category I should open the topic. It’s about a roof box that I want to paint. It has a golden color. We don’t like it. I did an experiment, but that went into my pants. I had a primer and a paint spray. See appendix. The paint went off very easily. e.g. with my fingernail. Photo also in the attachment. With my garage neighbor we found that it was grinding. By hand was not enough. He was sanded and primed for testing with his device. Here the paint didn’t go off. Errors occurred when grinding. I ran off the black color with the grinding machine and wanted to start again. Have also read. That the color is only up to 50 degrees suitable. That is achieved quickly in the sun. I needed a professional advice. With what should I prime and paint? However, should not cost much. The color can be grey or black. High gloss or matt. The whole should be heat resistant and the color should not go off easily.

  • Volvo On Call – Error “Cannot reach your Volvo”

I have the problem with my V70 that I have had problems with Volvo On Call (VOC) since delivery in May. Screenshot from the app in the system. Actually, the problem is not so bad as long as my heating doesn’t work and I don’t really need this expensive additional equipment (http://www.motor-talk.de/…/…ernbetrieb-nachruesten-t5133664.html), but it would be nice if the thing also worked. For months I have always had problems with the connection and if I call the diagnosis in the menu without exception always the error message as in the screenshot. Does anyone have an idea what I could do there? I only heard from the dealer that this must be on my mobile phone and will be consoled for months. I have a Samsung S4, so quite a common phone.

  • Is Volvo pulling its customers off?

Hello the following situation In July of this year I bought a new XC 60 and immediately made myself smart in the Volvo wheel configurator because of the price of winter bikes.the former price for the “SEGIN” or “VALDER” rim with NOKIAN winter tire was 1289 Euro and the dealer said in Sept/October he always ran an action with -10%.was today at the dealer and now cost the same wheels ( also in the configurator on the Volvo side ) 1578 Euro, minus the percent of my dealer is then 1420 Euro. Now my question – is it so usual at Volvo the complete wheel just before the summer/winter consciously become more expensive to rip off the customers ?

  • Presentation: V70 III follows V70 II accident

The damage to my V70 II was bigger than expected and so it was quickly established that a replacement car had to be purchased. Actually, no car purchase was planned at the moment, on the contrary, the inspection was made, including new brake discs/covers, new sensor PDC as well as new actuator throttle flap. As we are mostly very satisfied with our Volvo, the decision for a V70 was quickly decided. I had once thought of a brand change – but it did not lead to more than one search online. So booty scheme switched to Volvo only. Within two weeks, I dug off the stock exchanges and various dealer sides, ran various phone calls and now felt like every V70 III diesel with automatic in Germany. Due to the price situation in the Rhine-Main area I had to drive a few kilometers, but what should ́s it. It has become a D5 from 7/2008, Momentum with a few extras. No longer important was a sliding roof, it was used by the predecessor as well as never. A standing heater I still have to retrofit, then it is complete. Until now I am very pleased to see some of the car, Hagel’s damage, I wanted to see a lot…

  • Cable Occupancy ZV Remote Control Unit

Hello, guys. I got only one remote control to my car back then and it has now given up the mind. I’m now planning to upgrade an accessory FB. Of course, it’s easier if I know how the plug from the FB control unit would be occupied over the AI. Does anyone have the occupancy there?

  • Volvo C70 I Cabrio: Ask for tips of all kinds General cat jams & battery chargers

Hello friends of the elk, I would have a question in the round: I bought myself in November as an absolute super bargain a 2002 C70 I convertible. Since then the car is deregistered and covered with a cloth tarpaulin in the underground garage and waits for the spring. Who has such a car, of course has an almost no more measurable owner pride and must show everyone the car with all the functions with roof. Since the car is not registered, however, finds that of course everything in the underground garage and that the car is moving appreciably. So about five weeks ago the following happened: I – proud like Oskar – wanted to show my prospective brother-in-law the car and went with him into the underground garage. Car open. Engine on. Reset to the other free parking lot. Engine off. Deck down. I turn the ignition key and nothing happens. No howling. Nothing. It sounded as if someone said, “So young, now enough. Go in and do your homework.” the car was perfect, when my approaching brother-in-law pushed me and the car back to the actual parking lot. A banger was still that the roof was allowed to operate again electrically, by fortunately it was allowed to close again. I claim that I simply tortured the battery too often when opening in the underground garage. But what should I say, in the car even the wash concrete sky of the underground garage is a dream. When I was last at the car, once again the radio remote control has Is the battery completely down or can it be recharged and saved by a battery charger? If you can still save the battery, which device can you recommend? What is this device from Bosch to hold the C7? Is there better? If the battery with Winetou rides along with the sun through the prairie, so is flat, which battery is recommended? Varta? Bosch? Then I would have some more general questions to ask you: What do I have to do, dam I bought the car in Munich in November and then brought it to the Rhineland with a transcription mark. Since then the car has been in the underground garage. Inspections, oil changes, gear oil changes, air conditioning fluid changes, etc. ? Sealing etc. No matter what! Everything that makes sense! Who thinks this is madness, short of the car: C70 I (which looks just better than the whole other successor stuff); 2.4 turbocharger; black; leather:beige; wood clothes; everything, except Navi (and who needs that too; I was rather open after the nose); garage car; cover, how new; mileage: 44,000 km (!!!!!) I thank you already now and many greetings Christian

  • V40 Tank?? Amazing…

Hello guys, so I already think that I know myself as an old volvo hase well with the boxes, also with the V40. But now he has really faded me, I managed to drive my car a few days ago nice long with the reserve, I think it was so 60 km, when I find a tank. So I nice the super plus run and it actually went 62.5 liters in my tank!! The loud instruction only gets 60 liters. Ok the fills was up to the top full, but incredible that the car even with the last drop from the fuelilter can drive still without jerking. Did you have similar experiences or was at the tank the counter “getunt” ;O) By the way, I calculated my consumption, which is at my T4 with ingenious 9.1 liters at normal driving mode. Elchige greets, Sven

  • Start problems at low temperatures

a dreamlike, my Volvo V40 from 1998 with 1.8 benziner with ‘ner Prins bin Gasanlage’ has been on strike for a few weeks. to the current situation. during the day 25 °C and it starts 5 times without mucking without problem. now in the evening with 12 °C he strikes again… the same two weeks ago in the middle of the night at cold he does not want to go with start aid anymore, to that again a week before on work at 20 ° approx. he does not want any more and start aid also does not bring anything and we had to push. I have to say, battery is almost new and full, light engine brings still 13.6 V, spark plugs have been made again last summer. Starter spins also. At first I thought it was on the main relay what lies in front of the control unit, because the ADAC had previously read the error: “control unit gets sub-range” but also has no effect on the new relay. Today at noon I have changed the fuel pressure regulator because I had the assumption that this problem, but he still doesn’t want to sit by now whether the head can’t have any sensor control of the mixture or not have a fat temperature.
