Tach, had to find out today during tyre change that the fender at the front right already has a big hole, the rear car jacks have a little rusting on each side also, but that is another construction site. I was already aware at the time of purchase, that the fenders at some point have rusted through, since these already had rust bubbles under the varnish, now I am not sure, whether it is worth replacing it at all, especially, which are the right ones, since there are several variants, however, mine a “mixing”, built 27.03.2000, first registration 19.01.2001. Car currently has 227,700km on the clock, engine runs well, except for about 0.5L oil/3000km. Mfg. Edit: the last two pictures were taken in summer 2015.

Volvo V40 boot lock ( tailgate ) do not lock
Hello! Have bought a V40 Kombi built in 1999. Had to find out that the central locking the trunk does not lock that means the trunk can be opened even if the central locking. Therefore I ordered the lock again (not cylinder) When I changed I had to find that left cables were removed at the lock and was insulated with adhesive tape. Now I have it connected again. The head office now goes when I close out immediately again. When I have put everything back in original condition now the lock of the tailgate is not locked anymore! What do I have to do? Help

“Fast” new moose in Bavaria – and two questions
Hello together, first of all thanks for this great forum! It made the waiting time for my new XC60 more bearable and can already answer many questions or give tips! Great, continue like this! I drive since the beginning of May (therefore the “almost new” in the headline) an XC60 D5 AWD summum (Automatik, Saville Grau, Xenium package, family package, darkened disks etc). I am, and that as a changer of the X3, absolutely enthusiastic! Two small questions I would have to the community however still: 1.) Can you adjust the TMC radio station in the Navi menu manually, or change it? 2.) The following situation : I drive home in front of the garage, music nice loud, and put the car off. So select lever on “P”, start/stop – engine goes off – SCHLÜSSEL ABGEZOGEN – the music “pluttert” but unprinted and only then I open the driver door (after about 1 -2 seconds) I have thought that if I do not have the key, but actually have heard a greeting from the radio and I want to start the radio.

V70 vs Superb as a leasing vehicle – has anyone made the comparison?
I’d like to have a look at this week’s Superb as a private leasing car. Converted from Norwegian crowns to about €550 a month for 36 months, i.e. pretty happy. Other alternatives, such as taking the car into the house loan, are of course cheaper, and then you own the car and not only pay yourself stupidly and dusily for the bank. But today I’m going to Volvo, and see there: Almost the same starting price, but only 435€/month because of the significantly higher residual value… Both vehicles are the small diesel with leasing-friendly extra equipment, the Skoda is also available with “bad road” option, a little over two cm higher with plates below. And that’s exactly what I’m used to driving with my cars, where there’s no river. With the stupidly placed exhaust here in the forum and has noticed that the drive is not suitable for this? From 2012 new competitor for the V70
Hello, I just read this, for me really very interesting report. I drove it already, as a limousine, with the old 2.7 d and was enthusiastic. Super insulated, good off not too hard chassis, very noble interior equipment and as I think, a really chic design. Moreover, despite better equipment, is also cheaper than the German competitors. And in addition, the new 3.0 SD should be a hammer engine, also with the 8 steps Geartronic. Greeting Michael

Hello together. Stand before a difficult decision. V70 with 163 hp or the D5 with 185 hp ??? Both EZ end 2006 Is the new D5 with 185 hp really even more economical than the 163 he ? I already removed the sim card, pushed away another law, messages in the display, etc. Brint everything nothing. Does anyone have a tip on what it could be? They all used to go.

Xenon no longer LWR
Hello, the two sensors have changed at the rear axle, because the pole was broken and the Xenon lit 1 meter in front of the car. In my opinion, the left sensor for the LWR and the right one for Four-C. I calibrated with Vida, Xenon drove into the “normal” position and stop so. However, they no longer level with load on the rear axle. Four-C works perfectly. Does anyone have an idea? Thank you!
