    Moin together, I have to tell you briefly my shock: I have just received my new Mj 21 V90 T6 Recharge – everything nice, contrary to the information in the facelift thread even microkeys and net in the passenger footroom. But oh fright, when my parking badge is given the grip into the void: The owner who accompanies me faithfully in all Volvos for decades and so extremely practical is no longer there!     hello, have the following problem with my automatic, 99er tdi 250000km. and the gearbox switches fine, soft, good and drives well. only the motor brake effect is zero – that wouldn’t be the problem at all, the problem is rather, if the car obviously tries to intervene in motor brake technology, it jerks quite violently. especially when driving downhill and inserted “L”, where the braking effect should be quite high, it jerks strongly, and the braking effect is zero. who can help ? gruß uwe

    Hello together, I drive a 95 Volvo 850 Kombi automatic with 2.4l engine and 144hp. On the highway it reaches just 180km/h top speed. That seems to me a bit modest, especially since it is also indicated in the letter with 195km/h. What can this be about? The air filter is ok.   • C70 2003 Start problems

    Moin, the convertible has recently become an interesting feature: It only starts sometimes! The porblem is as follows: When I start it orgelt either eternally or it goes off and off! In AI the MKL or oil and the arrow remain on. Battery is logical. The funny thing is, the car has absolutely no alarm system and yet the diode flashes on the dashboard like stupid when it happens.   • Cleaning the front seats, rear seats and entire carpet!

    Hello dear friends! I drive a V40, 1.8, petrol, 90 kw, BJ 2003, MJ 2004, Phase II, Motor B4184S2 and automatic gearbox AW/ 50-42. I would like to end July the front and rear seats and the carpet in a specialist workshop for cleaning the cars with us in the city! The problem I have there are the front seats. As we all know, the front seats (driver.- passenger seat) are wired under the seat and connected to the sides and head airbags! In addition, every front seat is fitted with a mechanical sensor. That is also active when the battery is jammed off! If water or other liquid elements come on the front seats, there can be very big problems. That’s my at the moment very staple thought, even if the battery is jammed off. Can I trust the people who clean my car from inside or can’t I? This post is free for discussion!   • “Rotating” squeaking with pressed coupling

    Moin moin Elch-Freunde, a warm ‘hello’ in the round. This is my first post I’ve already read here for some time, so I was able to take a lot of things with me. I have a problem about a week, where I don’t get any further: When I press the clutch in the stand, a squeak comes out of the engine compartment. It doesn’t matter if a gear is inserted or not. It sounds to me that it squeaks ‘rotating’ with the engine speed. That means that when the clutch is pressed and with gas the squeaking is faster. Meanwhile it has become quite loud, so I’m seriously worried now… If I let go of the clutch, or drive, there’s nothing to hear. My V40, 1.8l, 122hp now has quite exactly 245 Tsd. Km on the clock…if that helps somehow. For tips or suggestions, what the cause could be, I say already: Thank you!

  • White steam from ventilation, foggy windows: heat exchanger really defective? See pictures

    After some research here in the forum, I am pretty sure that my heat exchanger is leaking. Symptoms: white, odourless steam from the ventilation. Discs will not be free or fogged fast My foot mat is dry, I have no increased cooling water consumption. Today I looked more closely and took pictures. My request: Could you look at this and confirm the defect? I don’t want to change the heat exchanger if it is something else (quick coupling). On the pictures you might think that you see run-out cooling water, but only small, dry rindsale. I also read that you often have to pull a screw (which?) or change the O-rings. Is it worth the attempt? What do you think of the heat exchanger from Polar Parts (http://www.ebay.de/…/291795207624?…). Looks as if there are all the necessary seals there. When changing: Where should the cooling water hoses be glued off? In the engine room, directly before the quick coupling?
