  • P20 and its rust weakness.

Hello, because I am about to remove some rust spots at my 20-year-old 850, which have occurred after 20 years I ask myself what my v70 (which is now 10 years old) will look like after 20 years. I strongly assume that the P20 should also have its beloved places that will sooner or later cause problems – and if you do this early enough (as in my 850, the rust was only 99% under covers or disguises) then I think the effort is also limited. My v70 is so seen in OPTIMALEN condition, it was not driven even in winter (in Ö the salt is a drama) – therefore it is currently in comparison to others really perfect. My question is now – what should be the neuralgic places on the P20 models? What should you look at? Like for example with the 850 the mud wings front (which rust from inside to outside), or under the decorative mouldings. Or the wheel caskets (under the plastic cover), or under the plastic thresholds of the P20 models? What should you look at?

  • Problems after Service 2.0 software update

Hello forum! I hope you can help me! I’ve had a lot of trouble with my XC60 MY 2012 D3 since the last service 2.0 problems. There have been 2 updates for the engine and the air conditioner. With both components I have problems since: 1. Gearbox After the update I noticed that the car is almost slipping on flat road. There is no engine brake to be felt when I go off the gas. In addition, the instantaneous consumption indicator at speeds up to 70 km/h in idle run shows almost always a consumption. This has definitely nothing to do with the free burning of the diesel filter. At this point the engine supports the switching process with a gap. Without knowing myself I assume that this should prevent a jerking when switching. That’s what the update has already made. But now the problem is not solved.

  • Kaufberatung V60, 2012 vs 2013

Hello! I’m looking for a little help with the V60 used car purchase. Have looked at us a lot, from 2011 and 2012. In Austria the market is unfortunately quite manageable. Desired price: up to 18000 with ideal equipment – that would be already D2 Kinetic with seat heating, possibly Navi and/or Xenon. To this end AHK would be optimal but not necessary. There is currently only Kinetic without extras around 18.500 from 2012. Now an interesting import solution has opened up, V60 D2 Kinetic including Navi and seat heating from June 2013 with 40,000 around 17500. So with all import costs within the frame. So I have not yet considered the new model – now the questions are whether it was only a facelift or motor etc. have been changed. In the net for the year no special criticism – find up to optical no differences – there are any weaknesses, speak something for 2013 or against – compared to older ones from 2011, 2012 or 2013 are the same price or more expensive? Many thanks!

  • External antenna or mobile phone antenna

Hello, Have some older posts found whether the phone is broadcasting over the outdoor antenna or not. Didn’t seem to be like that. Has that changed? I have the feeling that the reception in my V60 CC is worse than in my X3 BJ2012. On the Volvo side I found no clue. Is the phone still required in the car? Thanks s-ketamine

  • No more chrome struts in the grill at XC60 Ocean Race MJ 2016?

Hello, I picked up our first elk yesterday from the dealer. It’s a black XC60 D4 Ocean Race. The car dealer’s service was exemplary and very friendly, it was taken quite a lot of time and everything was explained to me in detail. I didn’t know so much about other brands. Actually, I assumed when ordering the car’s grill had four chrome struts, just like in other model variants and like it is also shown when configuring and like all the Ocean Races I’ve encountered so far. Mine now has the “naked” black grill from the Kinect. The dealer could not explain this either and has taken photos and probably let the next week from Volvo check and thought it might be related to the black outer color. However, I think that just the wrong grill was installed. Well, my questions: Did someone here by accident also have a D4 Ocean Race MJ 2016 in black that was delivered very high-quality now? Was the grill at the MJ 2016 maybe changed to this extent? I think it’s possible that Volvo works so sloppy and installs wrong parts? That I don’t know how to correct it?

  • Light Warning

Hello Volvo Forum Since I bought my first Volvo in August ( V60 D5 AWD Bj.2012 ) I had to find out now to my highest surprise that Volvo is not perfect. Since I am not that unfortunately I already forgot to turn off the light one or two times or I drove with standlight two days. Now to my question there is no Summer or is it broken with me. and if there is no one you can retrofit it, but I do not want any craft solution then I prefer to work on my perfection. Greetings from a former Audi driver

Hello, driver! Is it possible to program the seat heating so that if a lamp does not light the seat is heated, but only the back part? -sonyericsson-

  • Window lifter (switch?) defective, urgent!

Dear community, Unfortunately, a window lifter has failed on my V70. The problem: the window is down. Did it go down, all good. 15min later it didn’t go up anymore. I suspect that it is on the switch, because it makes a somewhat “lazy” impression. Since I have little time, my priority is first of all the symptom treatment, i.e. windows up again. Therefore two questions: If it really is the switch, can I just pull off the plug and clamp it to another switch? And do I have to remove the whole door panel or can I take out the plastic shell individually? If yes, how? Thank you as always in advance, Chris

  • Difference between 850 T5 Italo and normal T5?

Hello, what is the difference between the normal T5’s and the Italo-T5? Except the displacement. I have both standing here and trying to get the Italo to run. It doesn’t ignite and I’ve already shipped the distributor, ignition coil, NWS and OT-gber from the normal T5 to the Italo. Has everything been right, didn’t help. Did you want to know whether you can even exchange the parts with each other? Thank you!
