I was just replaced by the windshield due to rockfall. I now find the opening for the rain sensor somehow strangely shaped. Can you take a look at it? Does everything fit there or is there a black cover foil somehow torn? In other cars this opening usually has a regular geometric shape. thanx Robert

S60 2.4 147kW Consumption without and with climate
A few days ago, plusminus from the WDR, a fierce ideology and nothing but this prescribed consumer protection broadcast, made a contribution about the alleged consumption of air conditioners. I just want to take out the information about the above-mentioned S60:http://www.daserste.de/…/beitrag_dyn~uid,boprq55w1im0g6z8~cm.asp pdf-file at the end of the article. I’m talking about that. The S60 is supposed to consume almost 14,5 l in the city. With climate again 2 l more. I drive this engine in a V70II and can’t understand these values. Is anyone driving this model here? Greeting Achim

Ghost ventilation?
Hi Together, on 31.12 when I was out of the house, I had to fix the following: My S60 had ventilation at full speed (not in the engine compartment, but the internal ventilation. However, car had been standing for 5 hours. I did have a stationary heater in it, but a retrofitted webasto that can’t directly affect the internal ventilation (I have to turn up the ventilation before I put it off the evening before, so that the STH works). I then turned off ignition on and off, and immediately ventilation was off. Normal isn’t that… ideas? Torsten, who last had the message “battery almost empty” in the display – and now thinks to know why

Massive A-pillars
Hello, do the A-pillars also seem to be enormously massive to you? At entrances and exits and at intersections, my wife and I always have “bammel” to overlook someone who is (or that) covered by the A-pillars. In the V 40, however, one had a magnificent view. Likewise in our old Audi 80. Does this relate to the topic of safety? Is this particularly pronounced with the current manufacturers generic or with Volvo? Is there no shortage, we just notice. I’m curious if you feel it that way, since the forum (m. E.) does not say anything about it. Frdl. Greeting!

Comparison V50 – V70
Hi, because I had my V50 2.0 D in the workshop today, I came to the “genuss” to drive a V70 with the 163 HP diesel as a replacement car. My subjective impression: bigger is better – wrong There, where the V50 wiesselflink goes around the corners (e.g. in the underground garage) or can run smoothly over narrow, only slightly curvy country roads, one has to fight with the V70 correctly. A step on the gas pedal and the car runs – wrong at least with the V50. With the V70 you have to be rather the feeling on board a ship: one hears the moter turn up, but takes only hesitant lay off of the Dampersteg. Inside is correct place – only partly the luggage room is really huge. At the front the exuberant interior equipment makes the room impression in the V70 again a good piece of unresolved. However, is already more place than in the tailor-made V50. The surcharge for the V70 is moderate – wrong from me. The V70 had not got the sales sign with the radio list yet.

V50 2.0D – What was that?
After about 10 km the car starts to buck (not jerking), takes gas only sporadically and stutters. I fled on a dirt road. Car started off again – now suddenly also the tank warning lamp starts. What now – I ́m walking, tatata. After filling in 5 liters of finest diesel, the car started and hopping towards the petrol station. Shortly before the engine goes off. After a few minutes again and meanwhile with rage in the belly, full gas, squeaking tires and see there, the Volvo runs like a one. With subsequent refueling I got 42 liters, with the 5 liters from the hiking inlay makes 47 liters of fuel. However, the capacity of the tank reaches 55 liters. Does anyone have an explanation, since it can probably not have been located on the lack of fuel. Greetings bkpaul

Tires go wrong
I have had a Volvo S40 T5 for 5 months, which is now two and a half years old.Now it has run 28,000 km. I drove 10,000 km.The tires are driving strongly in front of the car.Something at the back.I had the track checked, which is fine, but the fall is completely wrong, but can’t be set.Who did something similar happen? I was told you can only close a “compromise” in which you can change the track a little bit in tolerance. I haven’t asked the Volvo dealer about it yet.

Heating S 60 Drive
Hello, I have exactly the problems with my new S 60 Drive (Bj. 07/12) like Pellexc in the thread to the XC 60. The wagon is not really warm when setting the heating in automatic mode. Even with the temperature adjustment of both sides 23° C no sufficient heating power is provided. The air distribution is poor, from the nozzles in the middle comes almost no air flow, with manual distribution in the footroom there is also no recognizable power. Do you have similar experiences? With 2 other Volvos, which I had (V 50 and V 70), the heating worked excellently. Greetings Jolalongo

Activate rear window wrench S80
Hello forum, it is a bit embarrassing to me, but I tried to activate the rear windscreen wiper just 30 minutes in vain. I pressed every button and lever that I could find in every imaginable direction. The topic Navi was already such a topic in itself but I could manage this after a comparable long time then… Greeting Peter

Performance measurement according to Polestar – Sobering result 🙁
hello together, because I didn’t notice much about my polestar performance optimization, was today at mtm on the performance test stand and had measured what the polestar optimization brings. the result was unfortunately not so intoxicating. power: 159.8 kw (217.2 ps) instead of 166 kw (225 ps) and 420,7 nm torque instead of 460 nm. now I think that a measurement of mtm should be already correct. what do you think about it? does someone possibly have a comparison measurement ? gruß mike
