  • V 70 Premium Sound Multimedia or High Performance Multimedia

    Would like to order a V 70 in the next 2 weeks. Unfortunately, my dealer does not have a V70 or other Volvo with Premium Sound available. He meant only HP enough. But since I sit in the car 2h daily and music is quite important to me I would be interested if the 1300 € surcharge is worthwhile. Has anyone ever compared this here directly? Listen only digitally (USB/Ipod).

  • Engine control unit was defective and still doesn’t start

    The engine control unit was defective and was repaired by a specialist company. The processor was fixed by error 2 “Data problem between Eprom and processor ” so they told me that. Now I have the engine control unit installed again and my car still doesn’t start. Does not sound,only the control displays light up,battery is full but it doesn’t do anything. Error memory I still can’t read out (was not before the rep either) . Can it be that it needs to be learned to drive the control unit,although the processor is not new? Had already with Volvo tel. but the knowledge had nothing to have had with it even without the car!!!It’s clear that you also want to earn money. Wanted to have a precise error description from the company that repaired the engine control unit,but more than “processor error” could not tell me. Would be nice if I could be helped.

  • T4 Idle speed fluctuates

  • Installation of antenna amplifiers

    Hello, I’ve been having bad FM Emfpang for a long time. I’ve had an antenna amplifier for a long time, I know the V40 has a built-in, which I want to hang between radio and antenna cable in between – therefore hope for a good radio reception, should my original antenna amplifier be at best defective – to my knowledge, however, what the emfang has not been really good since the beginning (new vehicle) – the local one is OK – the others are however too weak in the signal, so that the sound comes clean over. Now to my actual question: can someone tell me what exactly the cables of the external amplifier are connected to? The red cable comes to the ignition plus, clear. Only what is the wire and where does it have to be connected to? Or is it enough to put the antenna cable in between and clamp the red wire to the ignition plus?

  • Ambient lighting V90 Inscription

    Moin, as I am about to order my second V90, I have quite a lot of questions at the moment, in whose answer the dealer seemed rather unsafe. I care about the ambient lighting. In my previous V90 Momentum I have ordered them, in the meantime they are only available in combination with the light package. This time I want to become an Inscription or Cross Country Pro. I don’t need the light package otherwise, since I never use the Active High Beam headlights in our XC 90. According to the list of standard equipment in the price list, the ambient lighting is standard for the Inscription and CC Pro. However, in the list of special equipment this is always included in the light package. However, this is cheaper with the Inscription and CC Pro than with the Momentum. Therefore, one can probably assume that the ambient lighting in these variants is definitely there? I ask so stupidly, because for example, for the memory function for the front seats there are also discrepancies between the list of serial and special equipment in the price list.

  • D4 Inscription or D5 Momentum

    In addition, I’d like to give you some tips on how to change my 2014 XC60 D5 Summum for a V90. But since it’s a company car again and I have a relatively long distance from home, I’d like to take a look at my 2014 XC60 D5 Summum for a V90. Otherwise there’s no limit, but I’ve set myself about 60,000 €, which means that I can get quite a decent V90. Now the question: For my price I get: V90 D4 Inscription – Business Package – Rearview Camera 59.070 € V90 D5 Momentum – Business Package – Rearview Camera – Ambient Lighting 61.020 € I’ve already used to all-wheel drive through the XC60, but I think that I can do without it, it’s more important to me that the driving performance is not below those of the XC60 (acceleration factory specification e.g. 8,3 (XC60) to 8.5 seconds (D4). I’ll hardly be noticeable, a high-quality interior is also quite important to me, but I’ll be grateful for my present.

    hello, now I also got my V50 D5 and must say that it is already louder than the 2.0D. also the steering is much harder and more difficult than with the 2.0D. but otherwise, my goodness, the thing goes like the lutzi 🙂 you have to get used to the automatic, but that was fast, only the switching is missing from time to time, but with kickdown it just doesn’t matter. have now in average at km-stand 450 only 7,3 liters needed and I didn’t even have that at the 2.0D after 8,000km. well that needs now between 5.5 and 6.8l, but for a driving phase I find that a very good value. what the small spoilers should do on the rear disk, that’s a puzzle to me.
