  • Heating = environmental sin ?

    Hi together, it is forbidden in Germany to run its engine warm before the start already (noise pollution, exhaust gases). Regardless of that, it does not bring anything (cooling water we don’t warm up, heating does not work so fast, operating temperature is reached later). But – is a heater therefore OK? And – how do I explain this to my ignorant neighbor, who shows me about it (warning fee: 10€) and anyway has no idea of such modern things as standing heating (and internet forums) 😉 Tschau Torsten – der XC-Fan

  • Repair driver’s seat 850 T5R

    Hello people, lift my driver’s seat of my 95’s 850 T5R (330tkm) repaired. The cheek of the backrest was renewed on the right (2 parts), it was cleaned, slightly coloured, conserved and a new seat heating was added (the SH was visibly burned through). At a price of a total of 300,– € I am quite relaxed and satisfied accordingly. Overall, the rep. took 4 days and thanks to a seat loan from the Mennzer did not hurt either.   • KME – fine-tuning???

    Hello guys, I’m new here and have a couple of questions. But first the history. About a year ago I gave my moose a gas system. In the first 2 months I was 6 times at the Gasmann because of fine settings. After that the system ran 4-5 months half well. Then the engine did not pull so well anymore. I am to the Gas Fuzzi, and look, the shop is no longer there. I drove to the other and had everything adjusted there. I also learned that the system, which I have in it is not suitable for 5cylinder engines. And besides, the system adjusts itself. Later I thought: “now I help myself!!!” and have bought software and cables for the system. Until then I have only switched the temperature. I can’t really get clear with the rest. (maps enter etc.) The 2nd gas fuzzi really have my back then: “if the system is properly set up, you don’t even notice whether you drive with gas or gasoline”. Well, I never heard it. With me, you say about 20 % of the demand.

  • Lambda probe

    Hey community, does someone have the correct data that the Lambda probe has to provide or doesn’t do that at all. Ask because maybe a new probe should enter, could or something like that. Do you change the probe every 100000 km ??? Always grateful for opinions and ideas. Just sit at work and don’t know the values at my moose from the head, but wrote them down at home. Are as far as I know in the limit. Thanks to all Stumpanski

  • Heating and Volvo on call or Geartronic

    Hello together, after a lot of consideration and browse here in the forum I have ordered the days my XC60 with the following equipment: D5 Summum Terra Bronze + Sandstone/Anthracite Packages: Driving dynamics driver assistance families safety comfort Xenium + SHZ + Volvo On Call. So I’m at the limit in terms of budget. Now that I’ve read again and again how good the GT should be with MY2012, I’m thinking about swapping SHZ+Volvo On Call for the GT. What’s your opinion?

  • XC 60 D5 with 185 hp, 205 hp, 209 hp ???

    Good morning to the forum. I’m new here. After long years MB I would like to try an XC60. I started looking for a used XC60 with the 5-cylinder diesel. The engine is offered in three power levels. I would prefer the 205 hp or 209 hp with Geartronic. Can anyone explain to me what this 4hp power difference results. Is one or other variant to prefer?     Hello dear Volvo community! I am Stefan, 38 years old and live near Stuttgart. After 3 Saab and one Opel I have loved again for a long time with a large Swedes, informed me recently here and now put the Kuli on paper: Next week I get my almost 2 year old V70 Momentum 2.4 D automatic. With the decision and the negotiations I took 3 weeks and slept over a few nights. I was very satisfied with the predecessor Opel Vectra Caravan and the farewell is not quite easy for me; despite the beautiful prospects of a chic V70. I look forward to a lively and nice exchange with you! Maybe one or other of the former Saab drivers present here still knows me from the Saab forum.

  • V 70 AWD or XC 70?

    Need a new car with a larger trunk, as a second dog grows up (then Labrador + Shepherd). Drive at the moment BMW X1, however, had already 4 Volvo (850 / S 70/ S 80) and was always very satisfied. Only further MUST criterion next to the trunk is all-wheel (wg. safety in the winter, am much on the road in Eastern Europe) Now I swung between XC 70 and V 70 AWD (each D5, automatic). Wouldn’t want a new car (loss of value), but 1-3 years old (found the earlier models also beautiful). For the sake of completeness: XC 90 is too old for me, XC 60 I won’t warm with alternatives from other brands are BMW X3 (new model), Land Rover Disco. Actually also Jeep Grand Cherokee (I think it’s beautiful, had one for 100 TKM once, only best experience, but at Jeep I don’t get a lock-off grid or at least – net for money or good words. Also not as a Jeep original. Accessories) Sounds maybe a bit broad, test rides stand for your answers.

  • Questions about oil trap changes, coolant changes, oil filters etc.

    Moin moin! Since my Volvo pushes oil on the valve cover and the cooling water is rust-brown, the next few days I have to: -release oil -replace oil trap(clogged, new is da) -unscrew hoses of the same free -unscrew oil pan, clean and screw it again with a new liquid seal -release coolant -clean the whole cooling system with correga tabs and plenty of water -refill new coolant So and now my questions come to the action 1.In order to solve the oil drain screw I have heard a quadrant nut, since the screw is an inner quadrant? Some of these things I believe to be right for myself! 2. In order to replace the oil filter I need a key from Volvo(~15€), or is this also possible differently? 3. Must be used as a coolant the green from Volvo or does the green from the accessory shop, or the supposedly high-quality red from Audi (work there)?
