  • Android Automotive – Route planning Google Maps

Hello in the forum, I think it might be quite useful to start a topic about Google Maps in general and route planning in particular… In my brand new XC40 (Recharge Pure Electric Long Range MY24) the Google Maps version 23.10.030000.E is installed and I find no way to enter intermediate destinations, to move these targets as needed and then to have such a “route menu” calculated with the necessary charging stops. So I can only enter a route from A to B, which he then calculates to me in its entirety… It can’t be that one has to rely on the mobile phone and apps like ABRP or Chargemap for a more detailed route planning! In the Google Maps standard version (PC) this goes with the intermediate destinations and the shift… Because I have read in several contributions from this intermediate destination and shift function, ask me if there is anything missing or if the lack of this possibility is perhaps related to the fact that I am in France…?

  • Year-round tyre recommendation XC60 II

The day before yesterday I ordered an XC60 II T6 recharge MY 2022, as posted in the collection thread “XC60 II!” I get the standard 19″ rims and have Lufa. Because here in north-east NL the winters are getting warmer, there was only a few days really snow in February, and mostly the rhinestones wet/dry/rare some mud are at 0-10 gr. C, I think all-year tires. And Bergen there is not at all (unfortunately). Have already been looking for here in the forum but there were also specific problems with cross grooves etc. I would like to hear experiences regarding comfort, noise and above all driving behaviour with all year round tires. Up to now, I have noticed, purely theoretic, the Michelin Crossclimate + SUV positive. Please here no discussion about advantages and disadvantages, had so far always summer and winter tires and am aware of the whole-year tire a compromise.

  • Listen to music via a USB stick in the Volvo XC60.

Hi, someone can give me a hint how to play my music files in the Volvo XC60 via a USB stick. On the USB stick folders are created, but the sensus does not recognize. The problem has already been addressed here in the forum, but I did not understand the solutions. Maybe someone who explains it to me like the mouse earlier. Also gladly on the audio track by phone. Thank you in advance Dirk

  • XC60 D5 AWD summum “Special Edition” – here it is 🙂

Hello community ! Actually I wanted to order the XC60 as R-Design ……. after then it was established, what its equipment will be, I had to redispose again and have changed my summum direction R-Design ^^. This unfortunately did not change, because because of our caravan I absolutely wanted to have the level regulation, and that there is unfortunately not in the R-Design. Short intermediate conclusion after now 10 days and 1000 kilometers: (almost) ALL TipTop, 10,2 liters consumption with very soft driving mode ………….ABER > the electric tailgate is such a disaster, would really like to exchange for a manual – so something of ridiculous, loud, slow – and the Brezel I have of course already hit me already ( In the picture you see the 18 winter rim, for the summer I have the 19 inches Erakir in the garage stand. I am curious about your opinions :=) LG

  • Show water temperature in V70III ?

Hello , can you display the water temperature in a V70III? Since I no longer have an ad in this car and can’t tell when it is at operating temperature I would be interested to know if there is any way to display it on the display.

  • My XC 60 short conclusion after 500 km

Hello. I’ve had my XC 60 2.4 D FWD (175hp) with GT for a week. Short conclusion after 500 km compared to my V 70 D5 with GT (185hp) before: It’s quieter. It’s better at the front. I like the new seat with fabric better than the leather seats. The GT switches softer and faster than the previous one. Although it wasn’t bad before. It’s better on the road. My V70 liked to run after every track groove and thick road markings were also good. It’s subjectively just as fast on the road. It’s worlds more maneuverable, my wife He’s much more confusing to the rear! PDC is my opinion of duty! I’m very happy with my decision so far.

  • Electric handbrake

Hello Can anyone tell me about experience, whether the electric handbrake has proven itself in daily use. The reason for my question, I move soon and the outdoor parking space is on a slight slope, so that each time the electric handbrake has to be used to secure it. Does it not freeze in winter? Has this grown the permanent load? Sorry, perhaps for some a stupid question, however, I am currently occupied with this.

  • Automatic air conditioning

First of all, hello! I’ve looked at a V90CC, which has the 2 zone climate control with rear seat heating. Now the question: Does anyone have any idea if this combination can subsequently be changed into the much more beautiful 4 zone climate control? Thank you for your answers.

  • XC 90 uncomfortably hard springed – what is it?

Hello together, I have now driven with my XC90 (without air suspension / 19 inches) a little over 1,000km and am actually quite satisfied so far. What bothers me, however, is the extremely punching chassis, especially with Gulli lids. Didn’t I notice during the test drive so much. Will this get better over time (tire rubber becomes softer etc.)? I’m looking forward to your experiences.

  • Engine damage after 68,000 on the V50

Hello community, have a really sad topic. I bought a brand new volvo V50 (2.0 diesel) in 01/2006. Was actually always satisfied with the vehicle and had the V50 regularly according to the service booklet at the authorized dealer’s for inspection. Because of family growth I had to switch to a larger vehicle and have left the part at the beginning of the year my parents-in-law (until then the car had run about 56,000 km). My parents-in-law had the inspection at the Volvo dealer directly and were also very satisfied. 2 weeks ago now on the highway (without notice) report in the on-board computer: engine maintenance. Afterwards the parents-in-law, after you drove down from the motorway, are to the roadside and have looked after. Vehicle then no longer jumped….. Diagnosis after return to the dealer (on a car transporter!!!) Capitaler engine damage, after the turbocharger broke and the whole ÖL of the engine sucked up. Volvo now wants to take on 50% of the costs (sage and writing 9600 Euro) can not be anything else? Does Volvo? Did anything else happen??
