Moin dear Volvo community Last year in spring everything started. Also this year, like the last 20 years, I mounted my wheels myself. So car (V70 I EZ 8/2000) high, winter bike down, running surfaces controlled, Alufelge (original Volvo) on it, tightened and tightened with 130 NM. After about 50 – 100 km again controlled. So far, so good. About four weeks later, the wheel is loose at the front left. In the workshop. Once again, I took the wheel down again to look at the rim. Nothing found, wheel back on it, 130 NM. Wheel was fixed for the rest of the year. This spring was the same game. However, the front wheels from last year were now mounted to the rear (same side) . Wheel bolts remained at the place. After about 1000km now the wheel broke off at the rear left! So the summer wheels were fixed again and with the wheel to ATU. Wheel was checked, everything was fine. Afterwards, I got my torque wrenches, 130 NM were reached. Since all the faults were exhausted, and then, the gun was repeated.

Cracking driver’s seat S90
For some time now the driver’s seat has been cracking with my S90 during acceleration and braking. Two workshop appointments only brought a slight improvement, but the problem is not switched off. Today, during the agreement for the 60-thousander view, I brought the topic up again. The workshop master showed himself perplexed, with the presenters on the yard that would be so. I know that RGBLicht and nordisk had the same problem (noise is identical with me), at nordisk the exchange of the seat helped. Does anyone else have this problem with the seat and are there still solutions? I want to have the problem off the table before the guarantee expires in summer.

VOLVO V60 – 2 dents on the bonnet (serial error ?)
Hello! For a few months I have had a Volvo V60 with which I noticed already early after the purchase 2 round dents (depths of 5-8cm in diameter) on the bonnet (exactly in the middle of the vehicle, above each other, close to the lower edge). These are only weakly pronounced but with favorable light and knowledge well to be recognized. Despite clearly defined position a sketch is attached (places are not visible on photos) So far I feared that these shallow dents must have been created by foreign influences, which also my dealer suggested to me. ;-)Now I have seen in the last weeks 2 more V60 (one in Germany, one in Austria) the HAARGENAU had just this pair of dents at the same place. The logical conclusion is that the damage is already established in the (inappropriate) production (with some Fzg). The V60 drivers (possibly also S60) should check under you and post here for the case. Many greetings!

S80 exec. V8 or T6 or 3.2?
Hello Volvo-Gemeinde, I would like to get rid of a question, because I want to get a S80 at short notice, now the question arises to me whether I should increase the V8 (unfortunately much too rare) or the T6 or the 3.2. Bj should be with all 2006/2007 < 100,000 km and Exec.-equipment. I have given my CLK 320 (Bj. 2000) nevertheless relatively heavy hearted, but I am already looking forward to a VOLVO. The question is: How big is the difference between the two motorizations really? I have driven the V8 already times and that was already sovereign what the performance has delivered, on the other hand I drove the C30T5 times and was shocked like bad (unspectacular) the power output was. Of course, other car, other engine but if the T6 / 3.2 would be disappointed. MfG Sven

Volvo V60 or XC60 ?
Hello dear Volvo friends, I wanted to get a Volvo soon and as the title says, I am thinking about what’s most useful. Starting point: For my budget I get either a V60 with 15,000km or an XC60 with 90,000km. Both diesel with 163hp and the XC is already 3.5 years old. (Both cars have Volvo Selekt) I live in an area where four-wheel drive is worth it (mountains, lots of snow in winter). On the other hand, I have concerns about the 90k km … not that the engine is over after 1 year … I don’t know how to handle the car. What do you think ? mfG Hora P.S.: Does the V60 actually have an electric tailgate ? And is this in the XC60 series ?

Moin Moin good friends! I had a bad interaction with the city police today! When I told you that I am a German citizen and that I don’t speak or understand Slovak. I was laughed at by the police. At the beginning of the street there was a stop ban sign. That means red border, red x and the inside areas are blue. After EU the stop ban is called. Now I parked on the walkway, which was very wide. I was not standing on the road or parked there for 2 minutes, then came city police. I should pay you immediately 50 € cash kesú. I didn’t and didn’t want to. I was convicted in Slovak with the worst ship word and boarded. I know that from my daughter, who heard the conversation. I will now ask the German embassy for help and turn to a lawyer. What I want to know about you is the following! What does this sign mean and what does it mean? Red border, a red X and the inside areas are blue. Gilt this only for the road or for the entire footpath?

Rear wiper V40
Now I have the good piece for some time and am very satisfied – but something is annoying then after all: the tail wiper – apparently new and intact – always only wipes the first and the last third of the wiping field – as if the wiper stands out in the middle. I can’t explain it to myself. Does someone have similar experiences here and knows remedy? It’s not a doom of the world – but if you want to wipe, you also want to wipe ALL!

V40 Phase II, internal filter change!
Hello dear friends! Today I bought from Lidl coal filter for the filter system during cooking. These filter mats can be used well for the internal filter. Old filter out- filter mat from the frame- to cut new coal filter- to insert inside old frame or fix with double sided adhesive side -ready! Reinstall and very expensive artificial. This costs a maximum of € 2,50. Thus this alternative is better than what you have to pay with an internal filter with coal, namely over € 19. Also Sparkel1 has the same opinion! Caravans and moose (XC90)
Hello, after a few months of moving in with us an XC90 D4 has now been added to the caravan. Despite Arctic cold, we have left the camping site and immediately an important question arises. If I am in the caravan and the 12V supply runs over the car, it becomes dark after 15 minutes in the Wowa. Apparently the XC90 then switches off the permanent increase of the ahk. can you confirm it? In the manual there was nothing, can I change it? If we are standing somewhere, it would be great to use the toilet and a LED lamp. That consumes both as well as nothing. The rest goes on gas. Would be very grateful about your experiences / solutions. Otherwise only an expensive Autark package helps for the WOWA, which I actually wanted to avoid. Ps: What happens if I go with hanger in the Eco mode. Then the height of the trailer coupling and the bottom of the trailer is reduced, or is that? Is that still Eco, or should I forget the mode with a hanger?
