Hello dear friends! Since yesterday evening the engine control light lights up! Also yesterday I was able to stop and switch off the engine, wait 2 minutes, tap area turn on again and off again. Then first ignition of the engine without any problems start again. Engine control light went off. This morning no problems with the ignition of the engine. There was also no unround motor run or detonator. After a short stop at a parcel transmitter, I re-ignited the engine as usual, again no problems of the engine and no lighting of the engine control light. We drove on a quick road and I had to speed up to 90 km/h, when I reached the city of Trnava I had to go down to 50 km/h and hold it at a traffic light. They stood on red. Then the engine control light went on again. Even after holding again, engine stopped, wait and engine restarted the engine control light remained on. I have the assumption that the Lambasonden are defective. Or what could it be? Sunday we want to go far away on holiday!

Timing belts skipped
Good morning, with my V40, the starter defect was when a new one was installed, apparently the tensioning roller has disassembled into its individual parts and when starting the timing belt has skipped. Since then, the motor can only turn around 1/4. It is fitting during the start process and it did not work any more accordingly. How big is the chance that it will run again when a new strap is laid on? and if the head has to go down, what does one need of material and seals afterwards for assembly? Thanks already.

Volvo software, or things the world doesn’t need!
Hello my higher instance once saw a Volvo V8 video during the break of the last Superbowl. And at the end of this strange video, in which the guy from the rocket, closed his XC90 V8 with the remote control (range approx. ???(will I also have)), one heard a beepsen(quieken o.a.). Yes, now you want it too. (me too) But unfortunately I have not met any FR that can tell me where this software exists. And since the Americans show nothing in a commercial that they can’t deliver later either, there must also be this software. Volvo DE is unfortunately also not “master of the situation” with regard to this topic. But maybe one of you has an idea as to how to probably get to this software. (Part number or US/DE software) For the jokers among you, with a pig I have already tried it, there is trouble with the animal welfare association. There is probably this software, but no one knows where? Would be grateful about eue help.

Rumbling as a result of automatic air conditioning
I am a Volvo newcomer and have been driving a second-hand V70 engine with 140 hp Bj.02/2002 with luxury and combination package for 3 months. Especially during the hot summer I noticed repeatedly that an activated automatic climate control system, very often (sometimes up to 3 times per minute) resulted in power cuts in the form of jerks or restless driving; … and that especially when the vehicle was cold! I was driving a passat with automatic climate control, where this effect could only be felt when the vehicle was very fast. My Volvo dealer said that the behaviour of the vehicle was completely normal. Is this really standard, in a vehicle that is in competition with the A6 and the E-Class? In addition, I wonder if it is normal that when the doors are closed centrally, it is not checked whether windows are still open. I know it from other vehicles where the windows may be raised.

Cover for headlight cleaning system (holes)
Good evening and a nice 4th Advent to you, I saw some time ago, that there are for the V70 cover caps for the holes in the front bumper (The holes from which the engine looks for the headlight cleaning) Unfortunately, do not find these caps again. Did any of you ever order them or know where they are? Thanks in advance for all the tips and a nice evening.

Hello new here and urgently need help! (window lifter)V70I
Hello I’m Andreas and I’m from Berlin. I’ve built a lot of crap. My door speaker on the passenger side was broken, so I dismantled the door panel (for the first time) For better work I separated the door panel from the window lifter. I shouldn’t have done that. I pushed the window switch back into the switch console when I was assembled and flew towards me in the high arc of the switch button. I think it’s futsch, I can’t get it fixed anymore. It just wobbles. I stupidly managed to shut down the side pane, but I shouldn’t have done that either. : ( I can’t get it up now, funny enough not to get it out of the drive side anymore. I shouldn’t have done that anymore. Everything went wrong. Muck, someone has an idea like at least getting the disc up. Next week I’ll buy a new switch. Generally what I’ve done wrong with the installation. Would I have to hold on to the button of the window lifter when I came into the console?

PRESENTATION OF MEETINGS 850 ?
MOIN! I have just read this quote in another forum: Quotation: Sometimes a seat heater generates more heat than can be dear to the driver. As AUTO BILD reports in the edition published on Friday (Edition 17), several older Volvo 850, whose standard built-in seat heater had caught fire again in recent times. For the Swedish manufacturer an old known problem, because already seven years ago a recall action of the model years 1996 and 1997 of the 850 in the USA was supposed to correct this danger. Now the meanwhile aged models came to fire again – also in Germany. The whole car can burn out… uiijuijui… I have already seen several pictures of melted-in heat mats!

City Safety tested?
Hi together, I mean I read something about this topic here in the forum a long time ago, but can’t find it about the Sufu. We recently got a new flat-screen TV, packed in a huge cardboard box. So I finally thought of a way to demonstrate to my neighbor City Safety. Box placed at the end of our turning hammer, City Safety active, speed approx. 12 km/h, no hand on the steering wheel, no foot on the pedals and… boom, cardboard scrap. Penetrating. Does City Safety only react on metal or why didn’t the system trigger? Car is an XC60, MJ10. Greetings Michael

XC60 with all-year tires?
Hello friends, I plan to buy a new XC60 D3 (summum, xenium). Is it enough for all-year tyres (235/60 R18 on rim Zephyrus 7.5 x 18)? If so, which one? I would like to order it as a replacement for the standard tyres. My annual driving performance is about 7000 km in the north German lowlands. Thanks for your answers! Uschi By the way…: Are the 136 hp really enough? !
