  • Pictures of our V70

    Hello everybody, I took some pictures this afternoon after cleaning the car. It’s not spectacular, it’s just a standard V70 without a big brimborium… We’re still proud of it….. and you don’t have to do a lot on the V70 either, it’s also such a nice and elegant car, I think The quality is not so doll, I took the pictures with the ipod, because my wife is on the road with the camera But I think that fits also LG Chris

  • Motor trucks XC60 D3 AWD GT

    Hello municipality, since recently I observe the following: I drive e.g. on the motorway with cruise control. All of a sudden the whole car starts with jerking, hpts. when it gets flatter after a mountain again or goes downhill. I tried it then without cruise control: if I go off the gas, then it takes a short time and then jerks again. What I noticed in the context: If I walk off the gas, it takes forever, until in the consumption indicator is 0.0. What could this be? Is the shut-off possible or does not work properly? Who knows this phenomenon? the erzbmw PS asks itself: after now about 83,000 km still satisfied, if one looks at various crack noises times. But on holiday now it is again beautifully purred … (and thanks to speed limitation and flat landscape and little traffic in Denmark I also had a 7 before the comma again 🙂 What I just can not get there here in the middle mountains!

  • MY 13 – pictures

    I checked a V60 R-Design MY 13 today. No surprises. I can’t say anything about the leather quality because the car had R-Design leather. I save pictures of the new SENSUS, which are available in another thread. The new numbers on the rear are not exactly striking. I really can’t see any sense there. The “6” is not better or worse readable than the old number. The light switch has got a selection more: AUTO. Was also discussed extensively here in the forum, therefore I only deliver the picture of the switch. Great innovation is certainly the illuminated automatic selector lever. The switching backdrop in leather looks very high and also the bottom of the switch head is beautifully designed. The selector lever is more ergonomic than its predecessor. However, with the “deckel” I don’t want to get so much pleasure. It is indirectly illuminated by the “deckelrand” with LED’s and the set selection level has also a powerful green status LED. However, this “3D optics” for me was not processed quite cheaply.

  • Heating won’t work

    Hello together, have a VOLVO V 40, year 2001, with air conditioning automatic. Unfortunately, the interior heating no longer works, although the temperature knob is on the red stop. It only blows cold air. I had the problem twice, both times it has repaired itself. Now it seems to be permanent. The cooling water temperature is quite normal (display needle is horizontal). Has someone already had similar experiences and knows where to go to fix the problem? Another Macke is that the blower rotation number constantly changes, although I don’t change anything at the settings (winder level, air distribution, temperature). This is also independent of whether a certain blower level is set or the turner button is on “automatics”. This Macke had my Volvo from the beginning (used to buy it in 2013).   • V40 – Engine replacement – B4204S2 instead of B4184S2

    Hello guys, I’m new to Motor Talk and looking for information, something new, or ? 🙂 My V 40 (9101-820), Ez. 8/2000 with the B4184S2 engine and M5P manual gearbox unfortunately has engine damage, the adjustable camshaft wheel is broken. Now I would have a B4204S2 as replacement motor. Everything seems to be the same optically, except for the clutch, but I can also replace it. I have only doubts if everything is running afterwards in relation to the transmission, control unit, sensors etc.. Not that I get shivers later with the exhaust values. If a 2L instead of a 1.8er, I could live with it. Has someone already done such a conversion here? Thank you for your answers. Greeting Rainer

    Hello, after my old 850 with a broken ZKD said goodbye, I got a new one. 93er 2.5 20V I noticed that he squirts blue after longer traffic lights. What could that be? What was done on the car anyway, see picture (c&p didn’t work.) Greeting Adrian

  • Again – water through the pollen filter

    After hours of rain it was time again. Apparently again water ran in through the opening of the pollen filter. Fortunately not much, at least in the floor area everything was dry. I regularly have this problem again, which is creepy to me. The two drains on the side are free. A liter bottle of water they swallowed so. Strangely also the filter itself was pissed. No idea how this can happen. Then the water must have stood in cm-high, which I can hardly believe. I usually have the problem when it rained the whole day. Even if I park the car diagonally, the water probably collects on the side and runs through the opening. Only today the car stood straight. Can it be that the rubber seal does not keep tight. It must have some irksome banal reason.

  • Problem crankshaft sensor

    It’s all about the crankshaft sensor.   • Just change spark plugs… now he’s not running anymore…need help

    Moin an alle It’s about a C70 Bj 2003 200PS automatic I just wanted to change the spark plugs. I also did. Now it feels like a cylinder is missing. Engine control light went on and then it even started to flash. Speed fluctuates something. All ignition cables and plugs controlled. No improvement. Then the old spark plugs reinstalled. Mistakes felt worse. Now it has also gone unround in idle run. Did I break something? Just changed the spark plugs. I am grateful for every hint. Greetings Thomas
