For 10 days now my RTI-Navi won’t work because it doesn’t have a GPS reception anymore. It started off the last WE, when I noticed at home that the current position was about 40 km away from my home. I thought about a short-term problem with the satellites. Now I wanted to try it again yesterday, but situation is unchanged. I can say the following: – Route DVD was taken from the player more often, new pushed in, but this does not help. – New route calculation is possible, but always starting from the above mentioned new (but wrong) current position XY. – I start to drive towards the north. The blue pointer on the display “plows” now through a lake and then lands somewhere xx KM further westward. During this so-called ride there are also no arrows concerning L/R-bbiegen etc. – In a submenu I find the indication: GPS 0, here I should be standing at the top. – A further submenu can’t be told to me about the date of 31.12.2000 and then the normal time again.

High-consumption phases XC60
Hello to the forum, I’ve been driving an XC60 DrivE (2.4) for a few months and I’ve been observing a jumpy increase in consumption. Overall, I now have just under 8 Tkm on the clock. According to BC, my average consumption is almost 9l, but calculated at 0.5l to 1l higher. Here my defect report to the Volvo workshop. Unfortunately, the problem is not understandable there. The high consumption is due to a cyclical increase in fuel consumption all 600…900km. I suspect that it is related to the regeneration of the DPF. The following abnormalities have been observed by me. • Interval all 600…900 km, i.e. 1x per tank filling • Duration 50…100km. driving distance, i.e. 30.60min. driving time • When driving interruptions occur after the warm-up phase these phenomena continue to occur • Odor after overheated exhaust • Momentane consumption in thrust operation at 3..4l (son 0) • Momentane consumption in idle run at 6..8l • Momentane consumption at 60 km/h on straight distance with 1500.

Who knows this problem with RTI Navi?
The following problem with the XC 60: About 4 -5 x a week the Navi does not charge properly when starting up. Only a black or grey screen appears. The rear camera is of course not to be used. If I then drive about 5-10 minutes, the screen usually appears properly again. The Volvo dealer can not detect anything in spite of update and error check. Are you aware of such problems?

Hello Leutle, I can show you the current pictures of the new S60, which I shot today (in the meantime yesterday) in Geneva. (Are still warm!) I just couldn’t wait until tomorrow (ok, are now already a few minutes around) and had to show you the pictures right away. Must say, fine vehicle! The nice Volvo employees at the stand were, however, as last year, totally overwhelmed again when it came to specific questions. –> “Just a moment, I have to ask a colleague” –> “he doesn’t know either”. Have fun watching…

Winter tyres
Hello Elche, last week in the basement had looked for the MS tyres, and seen with horror that the front wheels had gone up to 1.6 mm It is still in the set frame, but for snow not the ideal case. From experience especially last year I know the MS tyres are sold out so about 15 tyre dealers called until the price was ok ( normal price € 140 ) Finally I paid € 99 per tire. I drive only brand tyres no Lilang or other garbage, my safety and those of the others on the gas are more important than ” false saving ” My tires;Michelin MS Alpine A4 205 / 55 16 inches Whether narrow tires or wide plays no role today with winter tires and is in the rest false regular table thinking, which are only narrow tires in the snow ok Which MS tires drive you and what did you pay for it and ride your aluminium or steel rims in the winter ? new 850/v70 has to come!
Yesterday I was on the road in the 850s and I have to say – the thing has to go! The engine eats oil, I knew that, but he doesn’t get out of the pushes anymore… that’s annoying. And since I don’t want to have big engine repairs (go out of defective piston rings) now a new one has to come. Too bad, had fresh TüV on it in May. Is probably only for battles 🙁 But now for the “new” – should be a gasoline engine, but this time with upscale equipment (climate, seat heating etc.) the old one is the “basic model” with butcher equipment. Can also be a V70 phase I. Which gasoline engines are durable? Are these the same engines as in the 850? MIR therefore, no “normal” petroler is enough with 200 hp + . The running performance is not so important – car is not moving much i.e. 10Tkm a year max. – ie. there is not so much more to add. What price range do I have to reckon with?

XC60 D3 5cylinders with high mileage purchasing advice
Hello, I love the purchase of a used Volvo XC60 D3 (2,4l 5 cylinders) AWD automatic with 163hp from 2011. Visually and equipment-wise, a model would be very good for me: among other things – are back camera, leather, panoramic roof, Navi, stand heating, Xenon with on board. Since the used car market currently does not give me much, I have already very stiffened on this candidate, but the mileage of 275 000km makes me a bit of a stomach ache. Is this mileage with the said topic? I read again and again about Kop sealing – or head cracking problems, is this engine also affected? Called up for the FZG. 10 000€ (in Ö) I still plan to drive in about 100tkm, there are already experiences with so high KM stands, especially in relation to engine/geartronics? A small manco is the front fender, here there are a few rust spots due to stone strokes in the wheel run.
