  • Consumption and parking aid

    Tomorrow, after I was lucky enough to get a new Civic this year, I have a few questions about it to the community. My Civic has now about 1500 km down and I mostly drove quite economically (I at least get a 🙂 ). Unfortunately, my average consumption is about 7.5 to 8 l. Even after a 450 km motorway ride I did not get below 7 l. When does something change or is it not right? I also noticed that the consumption indicator when idle (e.g. rolling when the clutch is kicked) only rises to maximum, although actually no consumption is there before it falls to 0. Has anyone already seen this? My second question is about the parking aid (sensors). I have the problem at the moment that the alarms are rather useless, because the system covers the pages much too far. So if I park backwards between 2 cars, the system passes very quickly to the warning tone, although I only roll parallel between the vehicles. So I have no chance to check the distance to the back of course, because the system covers the pages too far. So if I park backwards, the system is already very nice and thanks to the G.

  • Terminator 2 – CRX

  • Rear windscreen wipers

    I have driven many compact class cars so far and have ordered the FK3 now. Only afterwards did I find out that the new one no longer has a rear windscreen wiper. I certainly look stupid if one of them would have hit me. Nevertheless, I wonder if this is a problem. How very saut (apologies the expression) the rear window in driving mode and how is it with the already not special view back in rain ?

  • Phenomenon of vacuum hose

    Mealtime, I discovered a broken cable at a glance in my engine room today, and then drove to the honda dealer, but he had to dodge it, and that’s why I had to dodge it on ATU…there they told me that this is a vacuum hose and that he has to answer it again in any case. I was asked if my engine was running “like a bag of nuts”, because he actually would have to do that. but I didn’t have any increased fuel consumption or anything else, the car has been running for years. who knows how long the cable is already starting… well, as far as the type has picked up a hose then and that’s also fit… well, the engine MIT is running very modestly, empty speed is somewhere between 200 and 250 and if you give gas and then take it away again, the turn factor is about 100 and the car is almost running out.

  • Poor quality at 11 months old C30 Strong rust infestation!!!

    Hello, in the last 4 years 5 Volvos bought, last year a C30 1.8 F and a V70 2.4D. I have now changed the winter tires at our C30 itself and after 11 months and approx. 8,000 km of driving performance a shock, in terms of the quality of the vehicle. If you make the trouble and the wheels unscrew, you can see on chassis parts, drive shafts screws, shock absorbers etc. massive rust! I am not talking about flight rust, but real base metal corrosion. To my astonishment I then on the same day still on my 4 month old V70 with almost 25,000 km on the Tacho look and ergo also here, the same picture. This year I took pictures and attached here, at the same time also got in contact with my dealer. I mean the two soap boxes cost together more than 80 mille and then one gets this miese Ford quality still under jubiled. This year is actually a change of our V 50, but I believe here no more Swede to the house. Have you know how to write about the same problems in the V70 STlam!

  • Distance discs on C30 rear axle

    When I was growing today, I noticed the rather narrow track at the back of the C30. I knew that it was quite narrow, but I knew that the wheels were actually going so far – I didn’t think so. Now there’s the possibility to do something -> Distance discs/track plates Does anyone already have long-term experience with such things? I mean now not with other cars, but only with cars from Volvo in the range of the P1x models (S40 II, V50, C70 II and C30)? They say that the discs have a higher load of the wheel bearings. Is that true? How far should one be a widening of the track? The tyres and rims should not just stand out, closing flush is also not important. They should just look more suitable and coherently… In the appendix an image as it looks at the moment… Yes, the tyres are also slightly slanted.

  • Maintenance symbol approached too early

    Hello dear ones, I hope you can help me with my “problem”. I bought a Volvo C30 2.0D in June. At that time he had a km stand of approx. 26.600km. The maintenance was done 10/2008 with 25.997km. Now he shows me today at 28.823km that I should book a maintenance appointment. My question now would be whether it is normal that the appointment is one month before the actual 1-year maintenance rhythm is reached and whether this is normal, since I have only driven so little with it, say only about 3000km. Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Volvo V50 Facelift 2010?

    Since new photos have emerged from a C70 Facelift, my question is whether there will be a facelift for the C30/S40/V50 series for the 2010 model year.   • Yatour MP3 and CD changer possible

    Hello together…. We already had the Yatour topic several times. Actually most of the people here thought that when using a Yatour the use of the CD changer unfortunately falls away…. But look at this…http://www.amazon.de/…/ref=sr_1_6?… As I understand it, this device allows to switch between MP3 and CD changer…. Would really be a purchase criterion for me, because I don’t want to give up the changer…. Best regards Bird

  • S40 high diesel consumption

    Hello, we bought a S40 2.0D year of construction 03/05 with 16tsd km 2 weeks ago. Now I am shocked about the high fuel consumption. After about 400 km on the highway the tank indicator has already fallen below half. That can not be normal, right? We are “cozy” drivers and too fast driving is not to be thought, because the whole highway track is limited with “100”. We had a V40 Diesel BJ01 with 115hp before. There were easy 900km in there. Can someone tell me n what we’re doing wrong?
