  • Mobile navigation devices

Hello, this topic goes to all those who don’t have an integrated Volvonavi, but keep your navigator “mobile” because to use it in several vehicles. What experiences did you have with your navs like this? I got a Navi from Medion in 2005, which I would have liked to have scrapped several times in the last few months, since battery almost all and time again software and error messages. It had to listen recently often “This Sch….Navi”, however, was but not to “do” my “to do” the latest of TOMTOM GO 1005, and so far I’m very satisfied No comparison to Medion, very fast, immediately GPS reception, naturally easy operation, great clear display, constantly up-to-date live information, finally “freephone” for mobile phone or Blackberry and I’m already looking forward to the next further tour. Inspired by your experiences and recommendations Greeting Uwe

  • S80 Facelift

Hej together, there are first photos, in which one can assume that they correspond to the reality of the facelifted model from next year. The changes would be very moderate after the pictures: -new honeycomb grill -new fog lights -new exterior mirrors -3spoke steering wheel -silver bordered instruments [à la R-models] -new rear lights -lightly modified rear apron

  • Buying advice the 100th

Hello dear Volvo fans, love mammals with an elk for a long time. Was always very flexible which one it should be, basically liked S80 1(Facelift) V70 or 850 very well. The choice was now on an S80. If it were possible I would like to post the link and hear your opinion about it?! Externally the condition is very clean up to 1-2 scratches. Inside also very passable. Checkbook fits (if you can still give them so much confidence nowadays) pensioners car, but based on the SH until the last year was quite‘regularly moved. Always regularly at the service, DPF retrofitted, 1 hand, Navi Xenon Memory ect. Dangers I am the good piece, pulls clean through, switches butter soft. Dry Is it, easy sweating from the servo. Climate works without problems. Motor bearings or Domstreve? is for my feeling a little “failed”, has to be done. Otherwise nothing to find? Agreement was made with the dealer to make still new TÜV and what about it ommt goes to his expense. (Fairer Deal!) Discount would still be in it, depending on what comes out. What do you think? Are there any other places I should look at? Have a good feeling in and of itself. ZR was made at the end of 2015 and before 40tkm, think I still have max.1 year rest? Here the link Thank you for your tips and a nice weekend! https://suchen.mobile.de/…/details.html?…

  • With V70 II successfully converted to Xenon – but which PIN-occupation now?! Error message Abblendli

Hello community! I successfully converted my halogen headlights to xenon headlights a few weeks ago. Genial light output! But now I’ve been driving around with this annoying error message for some time now, which is called: “Function check dipped light – or something like that. I had heard that it only needs another PIN occupancy here. Unfortunately, I didn’t find anything about it via SuFu… But now the TÜV inspection of my old man is already coming up next Monday. Until dahi I should have fixed the problem. Can one of you please help me or send me a picture of the new occupancy? Thank you very much!

  • 2400 km from Cologne to Portimao in November

Greetings to the round… would like to get some thoughts here… I will drive on 24th or 25th November with my T4 and a fully packed 1300kg trailer from Cologne to Portimao, that is about 2400 km through France, Spain and Portugal… Do you have some tips about the track, do I need winter tyres or do I need to pass my summer bikes, should I take some spare parts with me? Thank you in advance Greetings R

  • Audio connoisseurs in the S/V40 corner?

I’m thinking about optimizing a few things in front system and vehicle insulation. Is there a sleigh guide who has converted the audio system of their elks? The aim is a linear sound as far as possible, at moderate volume. I don’t want a disco subwoofer is just something for home cinema for my taste. With music, it only breaks the sound image. I prefer the following: – (if possible) better isolate the outside noise with bitumen – fix all vibrating, snoring parts – besse res install radio – all old boxes out, including the riot box in the rear – install better front system

  • Sucking fuel chip tuning

Servus together! I noticed last night a company that offers chip tuning for the vacuum cleaners. Normally it is said that you get NO chip for vacuum cleaners… But according to the company there are software updates for all engines. e.g.: Example B4204S3 (2.0) Series: 185 nm, 107 kw resp. 145 ps With chip: 210 nm, 118 kw resp. 160 ps Well, I’m probably quite pesimistic in such things, because it is known that you can get more power out of a vacuum cleaner only with difficulty. However, it is actually true that there was/is the 2.0 in the Fiesta ST with 150 ps. At Mazda the m.E. 160 ps (in the MX-5) has. Thus it is conceivable that there are 160 ps in it, but only with 188 nm (2.0 MZR). At the same time one wants to guarantee a fuel consumption of 1l less than the factory specification… But there is not only for the 2.0 software, but also for 1.6 (100 ps -> 115 ps), 1.8 (125 ps -> 140 ps) and the 2.4i (170 ps -> 190 ps). I also have the turbos (diesel as well as gasoline) but somehow I don’t trust the whole thing – although with a lifetime guarantee is advertised. Does someone have experiences with the company “http://fasttuning.eu/”? The price as well as the performance yield (which you specify to reach) sound good, only the rest, i.e.: seriousness etc. should also be right… Does anyone have experiences here? Greetings DDD

  • Belt disc makes noises PFFT PFFT

Hello, for a good 4 months a Pfft Pfft was heard mainly at the cold start on the belt side of my V50 1.6D. Well can be Lima or compressor or anything else. Now three weeks ago a high constant sound at stand gas joined, which is not to be heard when driving. Since today I know what that was. Lima defective everything to death, ADAC sends greetings (secure checked). When driving came first all error messages, then total failure. Now I have the belt down and the mo now only the crankshaft turns, but unfortunately still with Pfft Pfft. If I spray WD40 on it is short rest, but comes again at the next start. Now the question of all questions (remote diagnosis) Does it bring what to replace the belt disc (vibration damper)? How can I get the down, when the screw turns the crankshaft turns with? and then I need a puller? Or do I get it with 2 screw pulls as lifting iron? nk for your help Frank
