  • V70 D5 Mj.06: turning circle / function xenon light?

Good evening, after having covered 3000 km with my V70 in a short time and having finally “friended” me as a Volvo newcomer with the car, there are still 2 open points: 1. Turning circle: I experience the usual traffic space with my V70 every day, because I have to follow up at the places that went with my pass in a slide. Now Volvo indicates the turning circle with 11,9m, and my Passat 3BG was probably at 11,4m. The “feeled” and probably also realistic turning circle in the V70 is, however, significantly larger. Has someone already measured for fun (with the brochure value of the underlying and with me also mounted 215 standard tyres) times? 2. Xenon light: How does the automatic height control work in the V70? In the passat, one has already got the after-regulation during the ride with some longer floor waves, so a very quick system which affects the counter traffic at all possible.

  • Volvo 850 Price demand

Hello, I’m coming over from the BMW corner for a moment. I plan to change my everyday car and have chosen a Volvo 850. Since I don’t know about Volvo at all, I wanted to ask if I’m completely pulled over the table with the vehicle or if it’s a good car. ?! I’ve already read all the purchase advice and fault lists from the SuFu, and I’ll examine the “typical” weaknesses during the test drive. Now to the vehicle data: 2.5 liter 10V 140PS 280 TKM (tooth belt changed at 217 TKM) 2 previous owner EZ 1993 cared interior Various special equipments : sliding roof, climate, seat heating, headlight washing system He has of course a few small dents, scratches, traces of usage of a 20 year old vehicle level. It’s a red limousine and should cost 280€. Thanks for the answers and a nice weekend.

  • C30 2.0D annual service necessary after only 2000km?

Hello, I am new here in the forum and would have the following question: I bought a C30 2.0D (BJ 2007) with 42 tkm a few days ago (with a dealer). The last service was done according to the service booklet at 40 tkm in April 2009, in June 2009 the car was logged off and should have stood up to now. I must now expect that the service notice will appear in the display in April 2010, because in the confirmation manual every 20 tkm or 12 months. How about the additive for the DPF. I always read at 60 tkm or after 3 years it is replenished. I will reach the 60 tkm earliest in 2011 and have no desire to change an oil or filter already after 2000 km or to have the additive refilled at an estimated 45 tkm. mfg chrusler89

  • How long do brakes last?

Since about 15,000 km, my brakes have been “rubbing” when braking at speeds of more than 200 km/h. Since then, the speed from which this occurs is getting lower and lower. When I order my V60, I was written by the “brake disks and blocks running time still about 10,000 km” – since then I have driven about 6,000 km. Meanwhile, the brakes are already rubbing down when braking down country road speed. My V60 probably gets in 3-4 weeks – until then I still have about 1,000 km to drive. How long is it realistic that my brakes still hold? and how do I realize that the change has to be made now and how long is it still time (km) from then?

  • V90 – integrated child seats – 3 children

In addition to that, I’d like to give you an answer to your questions about the new child’s seat. I’m looking for a new family car with 3 children. The XC90 would be my favorite but is not allowed with us (service car). My children are 5, 8 and 10 years old. The big one has already reached the 1.50m and can already ride without a child’s seat. Currently I have a Mercedes GLC. 2 child’s seats outside, the 10-year-old in the middle. But that’s no longer possible. That’s why it’s now out. (If someone has interest in it, would like to report) The V90 seems to me to be much wider than many pictures on the internet. In addition, the middle seat on the back seat is better shaped. Therefore, I have 3 questions: 1. Can a child sit on the middle seat is 10-14 years comfortable and can be seated on the middle seat on the right?

  • Your opinion on RTI Navi?

Hello, a good Sunday to all of you! I would be interested in your opinion about RTI Navi. While studying various articles in car magazines, I noticed that the operation is always scolded about the operation. One would see that it is a later implemented solution… unreasonable operation… and so on. So, I personally find the operation with the two buttons not bad, because you don’t even have to take your hands off the steering wheel. And the menu guide is also quite logically built up. I have never used the remote control, neither with my current V50 nor with the previous vehicles. What bothers me sooner (but which is never criticized anywhere) is that in my opinion bad map presentation. Too roughly resolved, display of any street names in the neighborhood, but not of the direct intersections etc. Or do I just make something wrong? Professionally I sometimes drive our boss in his S-Class, the graphics there I find personally as the measure of all things – beautifully drawn and rich in detail. What do you mean to our RTI? Greetings from Munich Thomas

  • childhood diseases s40 bj 2004

after a long, long time also here again – hello… and right before – the mod may excuse that despite the lack of space after bmw, it is still worth considering to add a volvo to me. the question is actually already above – if you have a t5 from 2004 and one from 2009 with about the same running power on the clock to choose – what does it say to grab the one from 2004? the difference from 220 to 230 ps and the few ml sprit times left before – it will be chipped in each case. when was “facelift” and what has technically changed / improved? a question, a few answers and I don’t want to bother any longer. thank you in advance – ez 09/2004, for the case that this is relevant.

  • New little moose on the way to Munich

Hi, I picked up my new V50 today and would like to introduce you the good piece briefly. I already knew when ordering in February that I no longer buy the most modern car – but I just like it. I still stand on corners and edges. 🙂 And this is how it looks: – V50 D50 GT Business Pro in Caspian-Blue – Keyless Drive – laminated glass all around – sliding roof – premium sound system – floor heating – Volvo on Call – roof railing – child seats – …and other small amenities 🙂 Best wishes from Munich & all of you good ride! Thomas
