Unfortunately, I have a problem with my ABS (TRACS) system. I just write down what has happened / was done so far… – STG was soldered the last time about 3 years ago – ABS / TRACS went straight from now on and stayed on permanently – Resolved soldering unfortunately did not work – Suddenly the error message in the cockpit was gone but came back after a few days – Volvo brought into the workshop – In sum they found that the rear ABS Se nsoren are defective – sensors changed and the STG soldered again – error was then also so far not present then then the Volvo arrived and after two days the error came almost again. But this time it is “strange”…. The two lights (ABS and TRACS) go on only during the ride when I stop. So I go off, the two lamps go off after a second. I drive 5min and stop at a traffic light, the lamps go on again etc… What can that be? but a broken STG? I have had the moose since 2007 and have been active here since 2008 ?. But I don’t know this ABS error picture. Anyone an idea ́?

Problem with the tyre pressure sensor (not from Volvo )
Hello someone has also made bad experiences with the tire pressure sensors that are not original of Volvo. Had bought my from tyre dealers and after 2 months the error message tire pressure maintenance required. I to dealer and who told me that the sensors I bought from the tyre dealer did not communicate with the car. After some in and out between dealership and tyre dealer installed the original Volvo sensors, and the problem ( error message is gone.) wa Find that the dealership could have said yes that they had problems with Non-Orginal Volvo sensors. Then I could have saved myself the whole back and forth.

Evaluation Compression measurement due to oil consumption
Hello all, I measured the compression on my v70 times to finally find out why the so much oil consumes (in the meantime >1L/100km). I measured 13-13.1 bar on 4 cylinders. Only the second cylinder has only 11,7 (11,9) bar. I measured again after I had put a little oil in the combustion chamber and then the measured values went up to 17 bar, equally on cylinder 2 and the other. According to the Haynes is probably 13bar just ok. Therefore I hope, that the cylinder trajectories/pistons are still OK and it is due to the valves/valve shaft seals or to the PCV system. It is the 2.4L 10 valve suction cup. Has anyone ever done the compression on this engine here and can my measurements be classified and interpreted in more detail? VG Jan

bad gas acceptance
Hello, I’m new to the forum. I have the following problem with my Swedes. When I step on the accelerator pedal in the standing gas, it jiggles once before the speed shoots high. When starting it takes off in the lower speed range bad gas. The following parts have been replaced in recent years: spark plugs, ignition distributor, ignition fingers, ignition coil, ignition cable set, new sensor intake air temperature, new oil trap, vacuum hoses tested, new knock sensors, new gasoline filter, new tempera tursensor, map sensor new. I would be grateful if you had another idea. Thanks already in advance.

V70 Year of construction 1999 with gas system – Starter no longer works
Hello dear motor talk forum. At my V70 1 year of construction 1999 suddenly the starter no longer works. I switched it off yesterday and on it the right headlight bulb, as it no longer went. In the evening he then did not jump on. The displays in the dashboard all shine, the battery (only 1 years old) I bridged (with two different batteries from the camper, both at approx. 13 volts). The relay also clicks, but the starter doesn’t turn. How can I use the test the starter? Is there a fuse and would the relay when turning the ignition key click when the fuse is out? I found the fuse box in the engine, there the fuse is not installed with me (?). Thank you in advance for your help and your advice Stef

Survey: How to get to the V40?
Dear community, I would be interested in how you came to the Volvo v40 since. Since the market share of Volvo in Germany is only 1%, I find it all the more interesting to hear your story about how it came to the purchase of Sweden. I would also be interested in what you drove before. I drove an Audi A3 Sportback 2.0 Tdi with Dsg before. Full cabin. Since this 9year old and 160000km had run, I wanted to sell it because I would get a few euros for it. e. But it became unexpectedly difficult. The new Audi was too boring for me and looked not exactly different from my age. So Mercedes A class was considered. There was no spark, especially since I felt the car was very tight in the interior. Off to BMW. Well the one was like the A class. As a confessing golf hater he also retired. There I stood with my talent, and other brands are not in question for me. When I stood at a red light, I look directly on the Fu hrpark of a Volvo dealer. And at the front of a V40. straight up and a test drive agreed. DIESEL D3 GT At the time I knew nothing of the 5 cylinder. So driven, only grinned and I knew that my new one will be a V40. That’s how I landed at Volvo. LG Thomsen

Also a D 5 injured 🙂
Hello forum! Finally I have the S 60 D5 standing here at the door, more precisely since Friday about 6 p.m. 🙂 Equipment: – D5 Premium, – light beige/beige inside + wood, – Royal blue metallic outside, – sliding roof, – heater (Germany version for 750 .- :-I), – Xenon, – automatic, – parking aid. Should everything have been… 🙂 After this weekend my elk has 800 km on the speedo and yes… what should I say? *FROI* *FROI* Something of comfortable the seats, simply unique. Just the Fed The great thing about the car is that you’re kind of relaxed at every speed and don’t mind anything. Not even the Audi carvings 🙂 Today it was already dark and the photos didn’t turn out to be anything. But I’ll submit, I promise. Greetings. Matthias

Order S60
First of all, hello everyone. I’m new here and I’m writing for the first time. I intend to buy a new car in January and have already looked around. Last weekend I was lucky to be able to try a Volvo S60 and since then, of course, my decision has been made. Originally, I was interested in the 2.0T but it didn’t exist for test drive. They turned me on a D5. I have to say, although I don’t normally like diesel, this car totally changed my mind. It’s a pity that I have to wait until January with the order. Well, then the anticipation is even greater. Where I’m not quite conclusive, the outer color is. It should be something bright, but not silver (all-world color). I think Ash Gold has to look good. What do you mean ? As equipment I will choose: Premium / Luxury package / Automatic (switched) / Sports suspension / Parking aid / Xenon / CD Changer / Alarm system. Hope I don’t forget by the way: The forum has considerably strengthened my decision to really take the D5. Keep it up. Greetings from Munich

2,4D with Volvo parts on D5 power!?
allo municipality, I have read a lot about tuning of diveren manufacture, among other things heico, mr, etc. such a serious tuning measure has its price. my question is simple and simple, if the 2.4D motor with 130 ps “hardware side” is the same as the d5 motor, is it then not possible with a d5 control unit (original volvo) to increase the power in this way and way? please inform me if this is not possible in my case the better alternative I’m very excited to hear your answers, but please don’t stone me if I’ve misunderstood something… thank you in advance + greeting fraenklin (s60; 2,4d)

XC 90 wheel bearings
Hi, I had also caught it now. At 49tkm whistles from the right back, diagnosis at the friendly : rear wheel bearings have said goodbye. There were replaced without discussion about warranty (XC90 Hat 2 1/2 years ) both bearings by an enhanced version, since Volvo seems to have installed in the first XC90 too weak bearings. But as long as you are replaced on warranty it is at least half as bad. Now is rest in the car again and I can pack confidently to 3 weeks vacation in southern France, of course with the XC90. Greeting Albert
