  • There is a new ELCH in Town

Hey! In fact, yesterday I was able to put my family in the CLK (the Roman baby safe fits surprisingly well and simply! No belt problem!) in order to finally close my XC 70 in the arms. First impression: I think with a lot of good talk my best wife of all will at some point tamely realize that it is MY car, not hers. This morning I was allowed to drive it for the first time. Very nice car, is fun to drive with it. But it is probably true! h still too early for a first conclusion. Only a few spans have come to light on the back seat. One has to tilt the Roman slightly in order to be able to attach it properly. But you can’t have everything… I’ll see that I still have to register on the elk card today. (Good keyword, right? Now BoisBleu can set up the http://www.webcheck.de/component/option,com_frontpage/Itemid,1/ here!) Until later Monty

  • Once upon a time there was a lock on the back right…

…or better said, it’s still there. Hello all Elk experts! This afternoon I had prepared surgical cutlery to take this (used) lock apart. It should be completely cleaned, reworked and reassembled so that it can be used as soon as possible my elk. The lock installed there no longer opens by remote control, it seems to clamp somehow. So that the change can take place quickly, I would like to immediately defrost The “axis” on the first picture is apparently connected to the base plate (marked in green), so that I can’t release the plastic cover (arrowed in red) from the base plate. Still I don’t see how this can be solved. If any of you can help, please don’t let me go down stupidly. Thank you very much. d Greetings Matthias

  • Set up remote control (Volvo 850, Kombi BJ 93)

Hello, I want to be able to open my Volvo with a radio remote control. However, the model was delivered without this (at that time probably) special equipment. I bought the following radio remote control: https://www.ebay.de/itm/325499129351?… After I ordered, I found out that I of course also need a kind of receiver for the key. However, I don’t know what this should be. Now my question is: What do I need to have the central locking via radio and: How do I have to install the components afterwards? Liebe Grüße TauerPauer

  • Mario’s birthday

This is how a successful day will come out: Just in the early morning, answer questions here and then an Astra (or something else ) and then much more… A high on Mario, he is getting closer and closer to wisdom Thanks from all the moose and their owners for sharing your knowledge and experience here at this point. Celebrate appropriately and continue all the best!!! Greetings from the deep west, Detlef

  • The right washing system for the FK

Hi people, As already discussed in some threads, the FK paint (especially Nighthawk Hawk Black) is quite sensitive and therefore recommended to you hand wash. Unfortunately, this is also associated with time.To be honest, I don’t feel like hand wash-bin too lazy for it:-) Therefore I want to drive with my Civic into the washing facilities but don’t trust me because I’m afraid the paint will get out full of micro scrapers. How is your experience with washing systems? Then give something with Softec after all? What else should be more gentle! Thank you already in the pres cu

  • Huge new problem with FK2?

Hello, I have a huge problem with my “favorite” since my trip to Stuttgart. On the passenger side, the gap in the front of the mounted bumper seems to increase slowly or it separates itself … Can someone check with himself whether this looks like this or similar with his FK2? That would be a guarantee case? I took a few pictures for the show … The first four are from the front right and the others from the left side … Thanks sch once …

  • Detailed XC90 D5 test drive

Hiho together, the days I had the opportunity to test an XC90 D5 in detail (about 500 km). The route was about 30% highway, 20% highway with speed limit 100-130 and 50% highway without limit. Complete route very winding with uphill and downhill. So to make it short the KNALLER… Since I was very spoiled by the engine of my last car (BMW 3.0 Diesel) I had serious concerns about the driving performance. It was already written a lot about it. But I can You calm down, the D5 is relatively fast. Up to 80 a bit grumpy, but for over 2 tons ok. Up to 160 you can keep up quite well on the highway. After that it becomes a bit tough. From 200 is then finished. More I could not test because of the winter tires, would certainly not have gone much. So I would not have thought it possible, am very positively surprised. The automatic switches almost imperceptibly with silky soft transitions. Car is very quiet, at 180 only a weni g Wind noise, you can talk normally. Chassis and road position very comfortable, no problem in fast driven motorway curves. Top brakes. Seats and ergonomics perfect. Strange is the Navi. The female voicers are totally annoying, which takes a bit of an important part. The guy in the RTI sounds like the computer game, which threatens with the attack of the next crossing. The graphics with double screen is very well done. The maps are unfortunately a bit flat, that can be other The operation is extremely simple and intuitive. Criticism of the Navi: (1) When I enter a road without a house number as a destination, the RTI seems to accept the middle of the road as a final destination. However, if I want to go to house number 1, and then somewhere else without ever reaching the middle of the road, the destination remains in the road plan. When calculating the next destination, strange distances and times are displayed. Only when the last track point has been deleted, i (2) I have unfortunately not found the function of the address book. I can enter my most important goals in an address book with other manufacturers and do not have to re-enter them again and again. Sure, if I start the same address again and again I should know the way, you are right, but if I always start the known destination from a new direction the Navi is helpful. Yes *RTFM* already clear, maybe I should first read the manual and then my criticisms are done. Unfortunately I never had a Volvo RTI and in the XC90 only little time. Anyway, I’m sure to have ordered the right car !! Look forward to your new elk, it’s worth it !

  • Help with part identification on the Elchilein

Hello together, I’m just taking stock of the new moose. Is there a lot to discover. Can we help you with some things? I’ve already searched the parts catalog, but I won’t find it. 1) Opening in the camshaft lid. It might be the same as in this thread, unfortunately I can’t see the photo of the TE anymore. Is this supposed to be open? Is there something missing? 2) What kind of plug is that? Is it on the front of the lamp on the driver’s side. Between lamp and battery. 3) Ic h wanted to replace the interior filter and had to find out there was no one in it. Is there still a use missing, or is the angular filter simply placed on the oval opening? Thank you very much! Greetings!

  • Bad luck? Expensive or just normal? –> Cost V70

So dear community, now I tell you a little bit about my Volvo: since October 2013 I am proud owner of a V70 II 2.4 diesel (DPF incl.) with quite a lot of equipment and heating with then 150 000 km, built in 2007. I bought the moose from a family father. The condition was just perfect, checkbook maintained timing belts and water pump he had made, so there were no objections for me not to buy the car. I slept over another night and then he stood At some point on the doorstep. As far as everything was going well I thought. First the elk got new wiper blades for about 20 € from Ebay. So after 5000 satisfied km, came the right front wheel bearing. I immediately had both front change approx. 700 €. In the month after that the throttle flap had to be changed, as she was over and the engine on the highway always jumped into the emergency running program approx. 895 €. In January 2014 he got then rubber foot mats (approx. 77 €) for the winter original from Volvo – was already in the workshop because the ignition lock (400 €) was defective and the engine could not be started any more. No matter I thought, can happen. Because I am on the road quite a lot he got a hands-free device from Parrot with the suitable adapter from Kuda – together about 180 €. In March I had the car then at the large customer service for 556 € because the last was at approx. 145 tkm and now he has already 169 tkm. Grom USB adapter for about 145 €. But now it’s finally over I thought, enough or already too much invested!!! And of course now something had to come! At the beginning of April the right spring is broken, car had to be towed again – I was really through with the car now! Too bad I thought to myself – now he has to go away – these costs really get on my ass!! For a new spring at the front right the friendly wanted now 562 €. So I already thought about the sale and want Since I already put 3535 EURO (within 6 months) in the moose I prefer to keep it. Old Swede there he was lucky again. The money is simply not getting again!! And since he stays with me now until he falls apart, the day before yesterday still gave new summer tires from Hankook about 400 Euro. But it must also be said that all repairs have been carried out by a Volvo specialist workshop. Maybe I now have a But now I think it’s over. I’ve done almost everything new. But a car is just a single wear and tear part that always has to be invested in, and with a driving performance of about 25000 km a year you can notice that even more intensely. In this sense Happy Easter to you Allen!!
