Hello, I drive a S60 2.4i (170 hp) from 2006 with just under 135tkm and wanted to get offers for a timing belt change, because it is due after 8 years or 160tkm in my memory. Volvo Partner A also confirmed this, but Volvo Partner B was of the opinion that the timing belt is only due after 10 years or 180tkm. What’s right now? In addition, my automatically blinding interior mirror has given up the spirit, I would like to fight against a kon The friendly one, however, was not sure whether it would work this way without any problems, since the mounting could not fit or the connection would have to be able to do without the associated control unit. Did someone already perform this exchange here? Actually I wanted to give the S60 in payment but the dealers didn’t just tear themselves around, characteristically the Volvo dealer wanted to be on whom Also on the private market the demand was at 0.0 – is the S60 really so unpopular? Greetings thunderbolt

CD-RW in HU-xxx – what makes Volvo different?
Hello MT-ler, (I tried the search but either I am too stupid, or the topic has not been mentioned here yet…) I have been using self-burned CD-RW (from Platinum) for almost 6 months to listen to music in the car. The CDs are written with Nero and 10 times the speed. It’s annoying from the beginning that the first and last song of the CD is confused in Volvo HU (I have the 603) – so on a CD with 25 tracks comes, if I insert the CD to the st Track 25, then Track 2, 3, 4, 5… and lastly Track 1. I tried some other equipment (admittedly, no other car music equipment), but everyone else does it right. Do other similar misconducts, or did I get a “intelligent” HU? Thanks Daniel, who probably has to change his burning habits. But what do you not do everything for Volvo…

Noise XC90
Hello, my Dickelch has been standing at the friendly for 3 days now because of a knarz, clapping, squeaky noise in the dashboard area that starts at 120 km/h and the faster you get louder and louder. So far you haven’t found anything and my friend has even talked to Volvo Sachbearbeiter about the problem. You just can’t find it. Has any of you ever had this problem before? Slowly I also lose the fun. That now after 35,000 km the drive shafts had to be repositioned already the 3rd time, well. That the RTI found no transmitter and the card has considerable errors, but well that now the box can not be driven more faster than 120, because otherwise one gets a nervous breakdown…. Have slowly got the nose so tired. Greeting Volwow who, if there is not now slowly something positive to report, makes sure that Volvo a new n XC90 for crash tests.

Loud screeching at acceleration, turbo over?
Hello, my V70 II D5 Premium automatic year 2003, 120kw with a little over 270,000 km on the clock (quickly hit) screeches me as soon as I give gas. I was in 2 workshops, but in turn. Workshop 1 (free workshop) had thought easy play. There I was because he whistled at acceleration. The charging air cooler was replaced. In the lower area the tubes were bloated, it licked out oil. Intercooler exchanged for 645,- Euronen, car driven from the yard…nu has The next day, the hoses to the turbocharger were checked, everything was tight and solid. The hose/channel below the turbocharger was opened and you looked into the turbo. The blades were very rough. As if dirt had deposited. Air filters were checked, but was inconspicuous (last change during the inspection in January). Statement of the workshop… you can’t know anything. It was suggested by the workshop: Keep driving, do nothing as long as there was no change. Car was on the test bench. Engine has normal pressure, no faults in the memory, performance values all OK. I left 2 brown bills and small change there. After that I went to the Palatinate, left 550 km behind, no change. So I drove to the 2nd workshop, also a free, but on Volvo specialisi There, too, all hoses were tested, especially those below the turbo, especially for leaks. Everything is tight, everything is tight. You can do nothing. Continue until something changes. I also have 2 brown bills and some small change distributed there. I am now at a loss. Should I actually invest 1,5k € in a new turbo or there are still possibilities / tests that I could try before. The moose pulls as usual. The noise can only be heard under load if it is supposed to pull. If i It can be heard when the engine is cold and when the engine is warm. It sounds a bit louder to me. When I go from automatic mode to switching mode to slow down the acceleration through the engine, I hear a similar noise for a moment at high speed. I had the noise recorded during the ride and put it on the server.http://www.woelk.net/sw/1.3gphttp://www.woelk.net/sw/2.3gp Image of the defective intercoolerhttp://www.woelk .net/sw/3.jpg I am grateful for every hint.

New Civic 5D: Bad brakes?
Hello I have just tested the new Civic 1.8 iVtec and am totally enthusiastic about the car. Tomorrow I will then drive 2.2 CDTI to the rehearsal. What makes my enthusiasm a little dull is that during my researches in the net (in particular AMS report on VOX) I pointed out that apparently 1. the braking distance of the Civic (100-0) is 6 meters (!) longer than Seat Leon or Alfa and 2. after the 3rd full braking not much more from the braking system. Does anyone know more? f affordable type – an improvement of the brakes limp?

Sensus crashes
I have been driving my new one since December and unfortunately I still have to fight more with crashes/reboots from the Sensus. Sometimes I have the impression that they occur again more often (every few days) after a few weeks of rest in the meantime. The workshop had already made a SW-complete update, but unfortunately also did not really help. Is there any news or information about these connections? Usually the crashes occur shortly after starting what happens before a It is difficult to park without cameras and beeps. In addition, the Internet connection seems to be lost. The latter has led to the fact that the respective journey was “swallowed” in the VOC.

Impression: Volvo V90 CC B5 Ultimate
Hello together, yesterday we had the opportunity to drive a V90 CC B5 Ultimate MJ 2023 with the former R-design seats, air suspension rear and 21 inch tyres with Pirelli PZero Vol PNCS for a good hour test. This should or should help me in my decision for or against a new car (change from V90 D5 AWD Inscription MJ 2020). Hazards we are a short distance on the highway, quite a lot of highway and city with changing road surfaces incl. cobblestone The V90 CC makes a lot of visuals and the facelift with the new rear lights and other small changes I like in reality even better than what I have seen on pictures or videos so far. Even the fact that there are no real exhaust blinds in spite of the burners no longer bothers me. Unfortunately, I find the Volvo has removed many functions in the current operating system very unfortunate. I can hurt the driving modes. I see the sailing/coasting in Eco mode as a great tool to drive sparingly and thus to emit less CO2. However, I lack the possibility to switch between Speed Limiter/ACC/PA directly on the steering wheel. What the developers have thought about is foreign to me. I can certainly get used to everything else. Google Maps and the voice control is definitely a step forward. Let’s get to the engine: Why always run the B4/B5 diesel of the current I can’t tell how much this is due to the fact that we only drive V-Power Diesel or HVO Diesel. What my wife and I noticed: At about 30km/h and light pressure on the accelerator pedal in the city to keep the speed up, the Volvo sounds like someone in the neighborhood is working two more houses with the impact drill. The driving comfort with the n large wheels and tires are felt a tick better than my 20 inch 255/35 tyres on the V90. Very confident unevennesses are ironed away and also cobblestone paving is not a topic together with the acoustic glazing. I also find the fact that with our V60/V90 the lamella grille is only open in really rare cases before the cooler (during the ride we can not tell when and how many of the lamellas are open for cooling). Also after the good hour of driving, the fan was still running at outside temperatures of around 19°C. Something our Volvos currently do not do even in high heat. Whether this is due to the fact that the 48V on-board network may require more cooling after driving, I can’t say. The service technician said that the B engines do not have much in common with the engines of the older generation (D) and that they can be used in the same way. I can still imagine that for the auxiliary units, it’s hard for me when it comes to the pure engine. The charging air is probably now cooled water and the oil cooler is also flushed with water. My conclusion: A great car, with mixed feelings and inside something torn back and forth we drove home. Even if my description may be rather subjectively negative for this Volvo, I will probably fix my order on Monday. there are some other reasons why this is currently attractive and makes sense to me. Greetings, Peter PS: Here’s a photo of the V90 – Thunder Grey Metallic, which is also beautiful live (I still want Bright Dusk Metallic).

Expect new UI with AAOS update?
Hello I have the version 3.3.16 in my V 90 year 2092. Does anyone know if the next version contains this new look and a version jump or just the new look? Or maybe a version jump still with the old look? Unfortunately I can not get precise information from VOLVO.
