  • Air conditioning pimped

    Moin! I had already reported that I was not satisfied with the cooling capacity of the automatic air conditioning system in my V70II. The compressor switched off at 7.5°C blow-out temperature, so that the blown air warmed up again to 9.5°C before the compressor switched on again. I then tried to find out with schematics and so on whether the shutdown is caused by the refrigerant pressure or by the evaporator temperature -> it is the latter. If this switch-off temperature can be set by the friendly -> Missing. So once again put your hand on. The resistance curve of the temperature sensor was found in the vadis, from this I have read the value for 6°C evaporator temperature (estimated because of the 8°C evaporator temp., also I think I have read somewhere in the vadis about the fact that it is switched off at 6°C). So this is the value I have to tell the ECU if I really have 3°C evaporator temp. ha be. We remember the fifth class physics -> old hobbyist resistance switched in parallel to it -> blow-out temperature 5°C. And so the moose is cool in an acceptable time. Why can’t it be easily adjusted by software? Even the seat heating temp. can be chosen. Or an offset between the selected interior temperature and the real… Well, it worked. Greeting Matze

  • Mp3 player connected to HUXXX except for a little thing!

    Hello guys, since I got the pin assignment of the radio plugs this week I could solder a cable with DIN plug (both from CONRAD) together with which you can connect an MP3 player oä to the HU603 (or any other HUXXX). Now only one thing is missing: The radio does not recognize that one source is connected. What must be pretended to the radio think it is a changer connected?? If that is clear everyone can use less than 5 € and a soldering iron e inen MP3 player connect to his radio!! So WER has a WECHSELER and an OSZILLOSKOP that please contact us. Or if anyone else has any idea how to do that. Thank you. Greetings Andi

  • Rearview camera in XC90

    I now have the rear camera installed; first conclusion: a really useful gimmick I have to reset a narrow driveway from the garage about 20m, on which often 4 small children (incl. neighbour children ) + friends jump around, Bobbycars or similar vehicle stand. Without camera the wg. the high edge of the board was usually an unsafe undertaking and depending on the day mood of the children only with instructor sure. With camera you have at least a chance to see and react. soon the reverse gear is inserted, the Navi-Schirm goes up; delay after inserting the gear approx. 5 sec. When the Navi is switched on, the picture jumps immediately. You can see 130° left/right and down to the end of the vehicle. A red line marks 30cm to the rear part, a yellow line marks 1,50m and 2m. Laterally, the line shows approx. 10cm above the width of the XC90 (incl. side mirror); where one would land at current handlebar impact. If one turns on the steering wheel, also d he lines and show whether and how to get into the parking space or how close to the edge stone. However, you should not forget to also look forward to see if the bonnet is hanging somewhere. With a delay of 15 sec the Navi-Schirm works again, which goes back to the Navi-mode, after you have left the reverse gear, or after a speed of 10 km/h forward. i.e. when pre- and rearrange the system usually remains active.     Hello, dear ones, I noticed that there is no switch in my new V70-BiFuel (Mj07) to switch off the DTSC. Is this also so with you (question especially to Stefan and “Bumm”, the familiar BiFuel drivers) ?? If so, what is the display at the start, “DTSC EIN”, if I can’t switch it off anyway ??   • Expansion of the ABS control unit/hydraulics

    Hello forum! My ABS control unit is defective and, as I can see from the outside, has been repaired (case is pretty messed up). Unfortunately, the lower screw was so screwed up that I gave up the control unit after an hour. There are probably only two ways to get there: 1. To completely destroy the control unit, buy again for a lot of money and have the risk to destroy even more. 2. To expand the hydraulic unit with control unit The advantage: maybe the control unit can be saved and money saved. However, I have not yet found any useful information for venting the hydraulics and braking system after installation. I have already vented many brakes and otherwise also abundant, screwdriver experience, so that there is no lack of craftsmanship and suitable tools. Only with ABS I do not have the experience, whether it is self-exposed, white l it is very close to the brake fluid tank, or whether it is aired when the brakes are ventilated. I would be really grateful for relevant information.

  • Noise from oil cover V50 D5 2,4 179hp

    Can someone tell me where the valve for controlling the engine bearings is sitting with the engine? It probably hangs on the air filter box with the V70. But I don’t see it with me somehow. Think that the bearings are gone and thus he makes this kind of noise with the oil lid open. Then the turbo sucks / whistles extremely. Think any line is leaking. Where does it go long?   • Confusion transmission oil TF-80SC ( 6-speed GT)

    Hej hej together, as soon I intend to flush the oil in my S60 T6 in the above-mentioned transmission I have just seen in the operating instructions which specification is prescribed. There stands BOT 341 ! But that is after google search an oil for double clutch gearbox ???? In the SuFU mostly comes the recommendation JWS 3309 , but this is to my knowledge only for the ” old ” 5-speed GT ok, not for the Aisin transmission from 2008. What now ? Of course I have searched the common oil guide, a over there everything comes out from the ATF IV to ATF VI. Most likely I was still stuck at Ravenol with the ATF T-WS, but what is now according to Volvo quite officially the correct release ? The BOT 341 can not it be? Have a nice weekend everyone !   • V70 11/2004 by a free dealer? Ask for help!

    Hello municipality! I’m about to get a V70, just have a few questions about my case. Specifically, I am interested in a V70, 11/2004, Momentum, 163 hp (then led as D5, today it would be the 2.4D, since always the strongest of the model series is led as D5), first possession with 33,000 km. However, stands not with a , but with a “free” dealer. 1.) The car was registered 11/2004 and had 06/2005 with 19,000 km its first (and only) service at the . /2005 to 11/2006 would have been driven only 14,000 km. It does not light up service interval lights. What can that mean? I try feverishly to reach the previous owner in order to bring more light into this darkness, unfortunately so far without success. Lt. statement of the dealer for 2 months at the place and did not buy it from the previous owner! 2.) The original Volvo Alu ́s are missing: only steel with decorative caps. 3.) The equipment is good: Xenon, electr. foldable mirror, partial leather, cutting net, AHK, CD,… 4.) The dealer assured me: accident-free (I couldn’t discover anything), limitation light on the right back is repaired, before handing over a check as well as oil and oil filter change. 5.) Think about having a “heating update” in Udine as well. Does this work with an 11/2004? Can you please say what might not fit here or what I should take care of? Michael

  • Problems with Bluetooth phone and radio

    Hello together, have been having problems with the phone call over the hands-free device for a long time. The phone connects via Bluetooth without any problems at the start of the engine, but then loses the connection quite quickly (approx. 2- 3 minutes). Can then connect again, display in the car shows then also again the phone and shortly afterwards the coupling is lifted again. Can then repeat as often as possible. In the spring afterwards a software update was made, but did not bring any improvement. Since approx. 1 week the radio spins to it. Sound is short away, then continues to play, again short sound oscillations, and so on and so on. Display then goes completely out of time and again. Errors do not always occur.   • Experiences Michelin A4 Alpin

    Hello together Does anyone have any experience with the Michelin A4 Alpin on a V70? I could get 4 pieces at a very reasonable price. Of my Contiviking Contact 5 two only last this winter and the other two are DOT 2013. Moreover, the tyre is not a quiet representative. Originally only for the Scandinavian market were produced. Now the Michelin Alpin A4 has not been produced since 2018. So the DOT will probably also be from 2017 or 2018. That’s not what ATU is saying to me. Well, the price is 4 units in size 225/55R16 at 195€+ 80€ assembly. I Googled once and the Alpin A4 is getting more and more praised like the successor Alpin 5. I had the Alpin 5 on my Vectra C Caravan and was already more than satisfied with it. That’s why I would be interested in an opinion of you Volvo drivers (especially V70 riders) what you think of the tyres and if it makes sense to buy a model now which doesn’t This is the case in the United Kingdom, France and the United Kingdom.
