  • Volvo 850 Preheating Fuel hose

Moin, I have a problem, and I have installed a Webasto Thermo Top C heater in my 96er 850. Almost everything is ok, only the fuel supply does not work. The dosing pump pumps no fuel for the stationary heating. I have installed the fuel dosing pump as far back as possible after the Webasto instruction (under the vehicle next to the petrol filter). I get the petrol for the dosing pump with the help of a T-piece from the fuel return line, which runs parallel to the supply line. In a test run before installation everything worked out. Did the system ventilate, the two connecting wires swapped and even the pump turned around test by test. Without success. Does the return line possibly have a check valve? Did I accidentally catch the lead line? According to my knowledge, the petrol filter is in the lead and therefore I took the other line. Who has experience with the stationary heating (or another one in which the gasoline also has a pump for the pump). SH is promoted) and can give me tips for connecting the dosing pump? Thank you and thank you very much Ole

  • 120,000 km and again the angular gearbox…

Hello, have now with my (still) XC90 now 120,000 km down. At the service now (after my please check for my please) it was established that now for the 2nd time the angular gearbox and thus the all-wheel has said goodbye. I have had the feeling for a long time, that something is not right here. Now the certainty. Have had squeaking and spinning tires at each curve (not only during the curves also while driving slowly). Can also everyone the the problem with squeaking Re ifen has only advised to have the AWD tested. With me it destroyed 2 tires. Greetings Michael happy to be rid of the carrot soon.

  • XC60, D3,Geartronic’s whimpering, rattling, whistling noise at the cold engine?

Hello and good morning in the round. Yesterday, where I drove home from the service (- cold engine) and had my side window on (- along a house wall and up mountain, therefore just there to hear well…) I noticed it – a erring, rattling, whistling noise, somehow under the car???? After about 2 km the whole haunting was over… It is interesting that this noise is just under load, so when giving gas is especially good to hear …. Is it good morning? I’m sorry, if someone might seem like a banal question, but that’s my first car with an automatic transmission (- fully enthusiastic!) and just yesterday I noticed it for the first time, because I happened to have the window on when I started, which actually doesn’t happen so often in the winter. As soon as I did the window again, there was nothing to hear… I’m really insecure now… Maybe someone can help me and tell me what there is (-Bj. 08/2016, D3, Geartronic, just run 38500 km…) Greetings and good ride to all of us here! – Jacek

  • Replacement for our 850er should be here – V70III or yet V70II ?

Dear forum, our old 850 is to be replaced. At the beginning I was still quite open for other cars and started the thread here: http://www.motor-talk.de/…/…-suchet-max-15-000-euro-t5393537.html After looking at a few alternatives it is now clear that it is to become a Volvo again. Today we tested this one and it convinced me of the condition, driving behaviour, equipment: http://selekt.volvocars.de/en/vehicles/Volvo/V70/D3-summum-kj be6lv4 The car dealership was also quite likeable to me. The car is a leasing back runner and has from a lot of highway driving a pile of mini stone impact damage in front. Do not bother me now particularly. Otherwise it is very good there. It has not exactly a few kilometers, but what I have read so far, should the D3 engine live relatively long. What do you think of the V70III? The basically other alternative would be to buy a V70II. 2005-2007, 150-250.000km, there is usually The V70II is driven by two friends of mine and they are totally satisfied with the reliability. In the forum you can read different things about V70II vs. V70III. What do you think? … I could get the V70III from above as a business car and save the VAT. That wouldn’t work with a V70II from private. For that the variant would be a lot cheaper in the purchase. Be very happy about your opinions. Greetings, Hannes

  • Decision-making process begins….

Hello, my XC70 D4 I drive now in the 3rd year and my fleet manager meant I should think about a successor – for September 2015. Actually, one number is small enough, so I looked at the V60, XC60 for comparison. A fast-confi as D4/8-speed GT (181 hp) with relatively identical equipment (summum-R or the XC70 summum), Xenium, heater, metallic results approx. V60 — 55 kEUR XC60 — 59 kEUR XC70 — 59 kEUR without the R would be it for the V60 or XC60 about 2 kEUR less. As much as I like the coming V60CC (the V60 is not really possible for me – too low & too flat) I fear the price is very close to the XC70. I think I will probably order my last XC70 – a bit boring but mature, and damn good car for the money. Do you have similar “problems”? Ciao Marvin

  • Execute inspection or not ???

Hello and good evening, since November last year we own an XC 60 R-Design D5 automatic. Purchased at about 47,000km. An inspection was carried out by the previous owner in August. But now I come to my question. We don’t drive much… just arrived at 50,000km. The car is mostly in Berlin, i.e. city traffic. Why do I have to carry out an inspection once in a year, although I am still far away from the specified mileage. I would still be able to understand. What do you say about it ? Makes sense ? I don’t want to leave the car again soon, but actually drive it for quite a while. Does anyone know a good workshop in Berlin/environment ? Does anyone have price experiences in Berlin ? Thank you for your help Greeting Flo

  • Switch or automatic?

Hello, I’ve been thinking back and forth about what kind of used I should buy. I’m looking at V70 III, BJ 2008 to 2010, they all have about 150-200tkm on the speedo. I want a diesel with five cylinders, so it’s possible D5, 2.4D and D3. I’m used to a manual transmission, but I recently drove a GearTronic and found it really great. Unfortunately, my wife isn’t so excited about the idea, even though she’s very much in shunting traffic in the S The question now is: what is more durable? Is a GT tending to be more wear-resistant than the always grinding clutch from the hand switch? If I buy a car with 200tkm, then the clutch could fail at any time what I can’t imagine with the GT. Is that really so, or do I think totally wrong? Specifically, I have offers for a D3 (MJ2011) with a switch and a D5 (MJ2008 or 2009) with 6-speed GT. What should I take when it comes to a D3 (MJ2011) with a switch and a D5 (MJ2008 or 2009) with 6-speed GT. The power of the D3 is enough for me, so please don’t hang up on the turbo at high speeds. I’m primarily concerned with possible expensive repairs that could be coming up to me in the next 100tkm. Thank you very much!

  • Massive coolant loss

Hello, in itself I have for a long time been happy owner of a V70, 2.4D with 175hp and 205tkm. However, the following phenomenon appeared on the weekend. He lost quite coolant on the highway and I had to refill about 1L on a distance of 450km. After arriving at the hotel there was a large puddle under the vehicle, but no further loss on the container, which I had refilled 5km before a last time. The next day I drove 6km to work, After work I went directly to the Volvo repair shop, which gave pressure on the cooling liquid tank. -The water dripped very neatly… -the first guess was now, the seal on the AGR or any break there. – must be repaired of course. – Today the call came then: probably cylinder head seal. He himself drove the car again warm, but it was now tight and there was no further loss fixed. So, now a friend who works in the engine development… he said: CO indicators can also react with the cooling liquid or with the frost protection contained in it… I also called the former seller (car dealership 250km away)… he gave me the tip to check the cooling system in the cold state, whether pressure is present after 500m…-will I do tomorrow. can be done. give a tip to anyone? the friendly workshop wants to take off the cylinder head, which I am not yet quite convinced of. thank you for tips and good advice… Greetings ACJan

  • Steering gearbox Total damage after 75,000 km

I just had my V70 D5 at the dealer’s to have the steering head replaced on one side. When the new track rod was to be installed, I was called to say that the steering gear was completely in a bucket and that it was surprising that I could still drive with it at all. It could have been any time that the gear was completely eating and I could not steer at all. On site, I was shown that the hydraulic stamp in a terrifyingly large measure free in After the vehicle is 3.5 years old, there is no official culanz anymore from Volvo and the request for culanz is 50% at the dealer’s expense. This can therefore be considered whether he invests the money for the culanz in the hope that I will order the next vehicle from him. Quite by the way, this is an outrageous thing for Volvo towards its dealers, because what can the dealer do to ensure that at the factory at that time a flawed part of the vehicle is moved in every direction? before I start the fight with Volvo Germany I would like to know who else in the big community of the V70 drivers in this forum had problems with the steering gear. Thank you very much.

  • V70 2014 – Questions about Headlights / Interior

A nice good evening or good night, I changed 2 days ago from a 2007 V70 II 2.4D to a V70III 2014 2.0 BIFuel. Unfortunately, he has a few little quirks, maybe you can give me a solution quickly. Unfortunately, the left xenon headlight is a bit blind / milky, I think about changing him now or cleaning him. I just had a Threat gleaned that someone had cleaned his sham wove after he became milky. Because it already makes a big sub What do you think of buying a new one (probably used insofar as it is used) or trying to clean it? Unfortunately, I don’t have the part number to buy and if I’m looking for the model and main headlights or xenon headlights, it’s not quite what I’m looking for. Does anyone happen to have the Volvo part number for me? The second question relates to the beverage holder in the center console. Unfortunately, the LED bar in this bes If you want to change the whole center console (this is the module with the beverage holder and the armrest), can someone confirm that ? Because not every equipment has the USB and AUX connector, I would hate to buy the module and then start to drill or mill holes for the specified connections. The second question about the lighting would be, you can change the LED in the door handles for e ine other color or brightness to get ? Edit: I just attached an image in which you can see the difference in the headlights. Edit 2: Maybe I just found the right headlight, can someone confirm me if this would fit .Xenon headlights I thank in advance for any constructive answer and wish a good night. Many greetings, SG
