Backwater intrusion
I’ve been doing something new for me since I was driving a car… I’ve always been driving a plastic stacking box with tools in the back left in the hold… About 2 weeks ago, when the sun was burning and I crawled in the box, file myself, which was there abundant (so 3-4cm) water in the box. Where the hell does that come from??? I had no explanation at all – not at all because the sun had been shining for days. Yesterday I put a box of beer in the back and look at my hold mat: wet ! And in de r box was soup again ! Where does that come from ? One might think that I forgot to close the flap and it rained in … or someone pours flowers in my car ? Everything dry in disguise, slices and sky ! At least I could not recognize anything eye-catching at first. And with the amount of water in the box the other day would have to be a more or less huge hole somewhere . Moreover it must come somehow from above – how else should it come into the box ? I don’t think it’s the sunroof. A) If I’d already wet the seats and B) the water is in the back … I don’t think it is / can be the sunroof. Now I have come across a Volvo V70R AWD with gas system and need your opinion. In short the data: Volvo V70R AWD Price: 7000€ Built:1999 297 000km Automatic Vialle LPG system Made of cylinder head, damper, transmission flushed, and Abs Block – concerns about the four-wheel drive since the Prob The question is I can get a construction site or run the whole thing reliably for the next 100 thousand. Repairs I can do everything myself only the four-wheel drive is new area for me. -because of the consumption would be no topic by the gas system -What do you have to consider when operating the engines ? XC90 D5 vs. V8
Hello, since my Dickelch (D5 136 KW) had to be inspected, today I had an 8 month old XC90 V8 for one day as a replacement vehicle. What should I say? 14000 EUR more on new purchase is not worth the engine. When accelerating hardly noticeable extra power. Gear shiftinterwals are much shorter and more precise in my diesel, therefore my D5 fills up much more agilely. Leak from the consumption (have returned the V8 with the same driving mode after 100 km with 14 liters of cutting consumption. Sure, the advantages of such a V8 are: quieter than diesel and from 180 KMH on the motorway there is still enough power. But at 315 hp I expected more. What is your opinion? Alex

Moin together, after far too long waiting time my “little” has finally been delivered on Friday. After the first hundreds of kilometers I have to say that he runs relatively quiet despite diesel. Teknikens Värld shows new S60

WARNING – XC 90 hand brake pads
Hello dear motor-talker! With regard to the actual problem, please refer to this thread! KLICK ME When changing all brake pads and brake discs (after 153,000 km this is completely fine, before only changing over to the front) I could also take my pads of the foot-locking brake in view (I almost never use the foot-locking brake!): On the driver side both pads were replaced half, on the passenger side everything was fine……………….. I recommend to let all XC 90 drivers change the manual brake pads after running performances of more than 100,000km with a necessary change of brake pads and/or discs at the rear.
