  • irregular “twishering/circling” of ventilation

    Hello, I have a curious phenomenon with my V70 III 2.5FT BJ2010, which occurs only in winter (temperatures around the freezing point). If you have the ventilation on “car” and drive for a while, then at some point a relatively high frequency noise appears, slightly pulsating and reminiscent of a cricket / chirping bird in the interior. Something difficult to describe. It is not super loud, but well perceptible by the driver and passenger. It may be that the noise after 5min, sometimes n Ach 10min comes, but with a longer ride at these temperatures it comes safely. It then behaves periodically, i.e. after a few minutes of noise it disappears again for several minutes and comes back again. Unfortunately not really regularly. I can create remedy by manually controlling the ventilation motor, from a certain speed it stops. This can be higher but also lower than the “car speed”. What I have already tried – climate on or off makes no difference -eing The temperature generated makes no difference -to manually put airflow up, center or bottom makes no difference Could still test the convection valve, so to manually or to set it to whether this will affect you. I mean, the noise also changes when you drive on gravel runway or slope/fall (that would speak more for the fan motor). What I find curious, however, why does this only occur in winter? Does the hub of the fan motor/is no longer correctly used? In the summer it has disappeared to 100%, no matter how you adjust the automatic air conditioning system. Unfortunately, there are different actuators in the whole ventilation, which might also be in question. Would you like to have precisely diagnosed the cause, before I start to expand everything. Did someone have/had a similar noise only in the winter, which had changed/disappeared with turning at the fan speed? Thanks VG

    Good evening, actually I was yesterday because of two other little things in the Volvo Forum. But as it is, one reads and reads. I stumbled over the puzzling cracks in the cylinder block. Our vehicles: S80 II D5 205 hp from 01/2011, 145,000km, freshly bought and XC90 D5 230 hp (Heiko), from 09/2012, now 65,000km, we have been driving for a year. It is quite clear to me that in the forum only those who have a problem report. the affected engines (percentual) as well as affected years of construction? It does not seem to depend on the mileage. Can one prevent anything to avoid the damage? The cars are fast but without ever racing with us, but have to pull 2-3 times a year a 2 tons caravan. Actually, with problem cases I have always had good experiences so far (Alfa 147 JTD 160.000km without problems, C220CDI with the vulnerable Sequentronic almost 300,000km without problems).   • Accelerate DPF regeneration?

    Hello, is it actually possible to accelerate the regeneration process of the RPF, for example, by driving only in 5th gear – so high-touring – on the highway? Reason why I ask: My moose, or I, have already stopped the regeneration twice, because the route was too short.     Hello together… I have to bring my cruise control back to life in 850. Vacuum pump is installed and both air lines are in the driver’s footroom. Relay is plugged in and turn signal lever is also there. Could someone explain to me how I have to connect everything now…? I have tried it before, but unfortunately it is now so the car is gas by itself. The air balk at the accelerator pulls together and takes the accelerator over the joint as if someone presses pedal. Only w I am standing on the brake I hear a hissing and the speed goes back to idle…?! What’s wrong with me for God’s sake?

  • Suitable power source in trunk for relays

    Hi guys, at the moment I’m building a power amplifier in the trunk that only reaches via remote. So I want to switch a relay between my duration plus and the remote connection that is best controlled via an ignition plus. My question is: Are there already existing lines in the trunk that I can use as relay triggers? I know why I don’t take remote from my Sc805? Because I can’t tap the signal from the middle pin of the 6Dins connector on Cinch. do you think of the idea of taking the plus from the petrol pump? Or maybe from the rear lights? Then theoretically the power amplifier would only be on if I had light on.

Lt. a very detailed thread would be to recommend the Einabu of a Bosch engine, parts No. 0130 111 134. I got this and wanted to make myself to the exchange today. As can be seen in the photos, the Bosch engine is too long. The shaft extends to <5mm to the upper edge of the fan wheel, while the shaft tip of the engine still installed ends at a full 3cm below the edge. I don't assume that the shaft of the new engine should rise into the fan wheel. Are there different variants of fan motors for the 850s? I now wanted a complete unit of Hell a (Behr), but these are not in stock anywhere. How is the experience here in general, are they organized only on order? If someone had a part number here (search functions by car type on various parts pages did not yield conclusive information !?).     Our 850s is constantly jogging. That started about 3 years ago very slowly. Only occasionally he jerked out. Mistakes turned out: throttle valve poti disorder. I changed that -> no change. It creepingly became worse. Only when you drove on the highway at higher speed it hardly occurred. Finally, however, even if weaker. If I keep the gas constant (e.g. country road with 80-100 km/h) it goes down at the speed than when you take away gas. When I take gas away and wait for an eye view, I can give gas again normally (as if he has thought about it). When starting and changing gas in the e.g. city traffic, he jerks quite strongly. If I pull the plug of the throttle flap pot it runs much quieter, almost without jerking. I have already done this without having changed something: – throttle flap pot, that is already the third (bosch) – ignition cable replaced (bosch) – throttle flap removed, for a brew – new temperature sensor in the air filter – vacuum sensor changed – ignition coil changed (Bosch) – ignition parts/fingers (Bosch) – fuelilter changed – fuel relays (103), sometimes bridged – spark plugs I have already changed in the course of time – plugs removed from the Lambda probe (is still the first one), no change he jerks further – petrol pump is new about 15 years ago; one hears that it pumps (especially, If you bridge the relay) – Oil trap once about 5 years ago. Is there a vacuum hose on it? I don’t remember it any more. I thought I had found it. Crack in the rubber of the vacuum hose to the throttle flap.
