What do you think of a 6 cylinder diesel engine for the models V70, S80 and of course for the XC 90. All other suppliers in the price segment also upgrade up and after a test drive in the XC 90 D5 you know that the machine is actually overwhelmed. My friend advises right away to install the Heico chip. On television I heard the other day that Volvo wants to bring a stronger D5 (all the same that Heico does). But I mean such a D6 (as Beis piel for a name) would have style. From me also the 2.7 Bi Turbo from the Jaguar (is the same family and comes anyway from Peugeot, only got a second Turbo). But definitely something with a little more steam to get more comfort with a brisk highway ride. What about your opinion? Brake pedal hard at cold temperatures; vacuum pump?
Hello, when I turn on my V50 2.0D MJ2006 after a cold night, the brake pedal is the first seconds (!!!!) hard. Only when I step on the engine 2, 3 times is everything normal.For this 2 to 3 questions: 1. Could it be the vacuum pump that it works nciht (or does not start in cold weather) 1.1 Does a new vacuum pump have to be registered in the Vida? 2. Does the engine itself produce a vacuum, which then gradually builds up? Where does it come from, is not a sucker engine. Hello, with my V70 T6 first registration 10/2007 KM Stand 38000 this message comes for some time. “On call maintenance required”. I can push away, but comes again with every restart. According to my dealer, after diagnosis via OBD and computer through the plant the external battery is broken. A new such long-term battery costs allegedly 250.—€ plus mounting. This should be hard to access behind the glove compartment installed. Just like this hidden mounted wur I can still talk about the emergency call button with Volvo Köln. Go over the normal car battery. In case of a serious accident the very good emergency call system is no longer available, since then the normal car battery is immediately separated from the on-board grid and the intended power supply is gone. I have already had 4 times total failure of the car battery in the last 2 years and got 3 new ones, 2 on culancy of the workshop. I was even called by Volvo Köln once that my V70 was reported as stolen by the system, but was then again only an absolute car battery collapsed. Every time everything was measured on “spirit consumers” without finding out. Also the alternator is fine. Is the V70 only designed for frequent drivers? I still have a warranty extension until 10.10.12, but this battery is not supposed to be ert. Would look forward to receiving answers. Greetings Günter

Error message V70 D3 ECM- P200A00 and ECM-P200977
Hello together, I recently bought a used V70 D3 with the engine D4204T9 240tkm, was for inspection with the dealer and they have read some error messages (ECM-P200A00 and ECM-P200977). Unfortunately I find not much information about these error messages. The AGR valve was changed by the previous owner at the dealer exactly 23 months ago. What I wonder is whether these error messages have something to do with the repaired (completely exchanged) AGR valve I would be happy if you could help me there. At the moment I have no problems driving, but could it be expensive at some point or what would you recommend? Thank you very much. XC60 BJ2011 kicks and nobody finds anything. 🙁

Up to 30 km/h you don’t notice anything about it, especially about the 50 km/h, if you give little gas, then it jerks. The engine itself, it seems to us, runs at every speed quite normal, as soon as you decouple the car during the ride, it also runs calmly, as soon as you switch again to “D The strange thing about it is that there is one of about 30 rides, where he doesn’t have the problem, then he runs quite quietly. I was already in two workshops, among other things with Volvo itself but you can’t find anything. At Volvo they said that you could change the AGR valve and cooler at a flat rate. Dear community, after a very long time and additional “foreign” (due to a company car) I am now ready for my own moose again. My last V60 T6 was quite a fun machine, but now it should at least become “something more reasonable”. The D6 PIH has fascinated me since its introduction. And now used models are also affordable. Heating power XC70 /MJ 2009
Hello, the heating power of my xc70 is no longer satisfactory. Even after 30km of highway only lukewarm air comes out of the nozzles. Even at requested 30 degrees, the air conditioning system probably means it is warm enough and only waves a little warm air to the interior. The fan makes trouble and also turns automatically high, although it is never controlled to maximum. Can I do manually, on the fan itself is apparently not. That could be more if it should. In the lukewarm car set at the automatic 15 degrees the fan drives to maximum speed and the air conditioning cools. The temperature sensor detects at least the temperature range and regulates void. The cockpit unfortunately has no water temperature indicator anymore, I have no idea if the cooling water is not warm enough to deliver what to the heating (thermostat always open?) or whether the small circuit already cooks (thermostat always too). islauf is actually sitting the heat exchanger? A message or warning light in the cockpit did not come yet. Did someone already have the problem and could solve it? Tightened to answer and recommendations… Tom

Start/stop drives strange things
Good evening all around My name is Ralph, I live in Switzerland and since last summer I drive a 2013 V70 DrivE with man. Gearbox and now almost 100tsd km. I find the start/stop system actually quite good. However, it does not work with me properly. I thought that was due to the cold temperatures and a possibly somewhat tired battery. When I strangled the engine recently, the system started the engine without murmuring. I then got the car under pain still two It worked out again every time – green lamp came and the engine went on. Before the traffic lights (unlock the gear) nothing happens and the engine continues to run. Does one of you know that?
